"It's fine~ , I never cared about them to begin with ~ " Rin said with an easygoing smile, but to the two young women, this smile seemed as a way to mask his pain.
"It's all right ... You have us .." Marin placed her hand on top of Rin's as she said seriously with a gentle smile which was mirrored by Shouko who was nodding her head furiously.
Rin felt his heart skip a beat when he gazed at Marin's smile.
He quickly shook off the weird thought inside his head, as he repeatedly chanted inside his mind that they were just friends.

It was not that he hadn't thought of pursuing Marin, but he didn't want to ruin what they had for now.
Honestly, he liked both Marin and Shouko and didn't know who to choose.
And, he believed both of them saw him as their friend because Marin was too chummy with him treating him like how someone would treat a brother.
She wasn't self-conscious at all, which made him wonder at times whether she even saw him as a guy.
The same was true for Shouko, but she was a bit less intense, and because she was slightly introverted, she didn't act like Marin.
But he still felt these girls didn't see him as a guy and had no defences around him.
He had talked about this with them, but they just said they trusted him, and although he was flattered, he was also frustrated.
Rin felt like he got the good person card, or you are just like my brother card.
Getting friend zoned is such a pain in the ass.
Luckily, both Marin and Shouko didn't seem to be close to any other guys, which relieved him.
But Rin knew he had to make a decision, and things couldn't go on like that.
And he already had a decision in mind .... He was going to choose both.
He couldn't pick one over the other.
He was a selfish bastard and a pervert, but he cared about both of these girls and felt possessive about them.
Anyway, he would have to rebuild the Valefor family, and he needed 'help', so it was fine, right?

"Allright.." Rin scratched his cheek as he felt a bit awkward by Marin's intensity.
Marin coughed a bit in embarrassment as she took her hand away, but Rin was disappointed that he didn't see a blush on her face, meaning she wasn't affected.
But Rin failed to notice her reddened ears hidden by her hair.
Marin felt like her heart was pounding as she nearly blurted out her feelings. Even with this intense gesture, the dense idiot in front of her didn't react.
'Hmph! Stupid Rin~ ' Marin snorted inside her mind as she gazed at the guy, who was opening his bento with a smile and unconcealed excitement.
As expected, his bento was filled with heart-shaped dishes. If Marin didn't know the truth, she might have assumed it was his girlfriend or someone who was cooking for him.
But it was his mother, and looking at the gentle smile on Rin's face, Marin felt annoyed.
She used her chopsticks to snatch an egg roll from his bento before stuffing it into her mouth.
"Hey!" Rin exclaimed in annoyance at the blonde who stole his food.
"Washt? " ( What?) Marin asked nonchalantly as she savoured the soft egg roll.
'It's good' Marin had to say that Rin's mom was really good at cooking.
She had seen Rin's brother's bento, and it didn't have any dishes made like this.
It was like two different people were preparing the bento.
She didn't like Rin's brother either because the guy was very rude to his mother when the woman was so doting towards him.
Marin could only imagine the pain she would experience if she didn't have Rin, luckily she had one son who loved her as much as she loved him.
"You took my food!" Rin said in annoyance while glaring at the blonde.
"Here, take mine ~ " Marin picked up an egg roll and pushed it towards Rin's mouth.
But his words caused a vein to pop on her forehead.
"But it's not made by Mom" Rin said in a low tone as he ate the food from Marin's chopsticks.
"Heh! What a Mamas boy ~ " Marin said mockingly as she stuffed another egg roll into his mouth while simultaneously taking one from his bento.
Rin chewed his food and swallowed it before responding in a slightly embarrassed tone.
"I am not .... I just love my mom. " Rin defended himself, since his Mom was the best mom in the world and he despised his brother for not appreciating her.
He would have beaten up the bastard if not for the fear of making his mother sad.
Rin knew how precious they were to his mother, and he wouldn't do anything to make her sad....

When Rin was being fed by Marin he felt a hostile glare from the side.
Rin could already guess the owner of the gaze, and when he turned his gaze in the direction of the stare, Low and behold, it was his dear brother.
"Hmph!" Rin watched as his brother snorted at him before turning away.
'Brother you are too obvious..' Rin thought inside his mind as he was pretty sure that his brother Masato had a heavy crush on Marin and didn't like it when he saw the goddess of his dreams interact with his annoying 'brother'....

I stopped Translating because I wanted to write on my own , I actually only read upto where Lynn ( the og name ) made Utaha into a devil , that exact moment.
I don't think I'll read it again , I guess I'll just borrow some plot points or scenarios I like and exclude stuff I don't want.
