"There are times when your magic power goes into overdrive, most of the time this is a self preservation tactic the magic energy automatically activates thanks to your mental state even though you're not actively making it do that. 'You and the magic energy are one being, yet you are two separate entities."
"For your current situation, think of the energy being a guard dog that's your best friend and you are a child that's being threatened, right now that dog has gone rabid and it's threatening and biting anything that dares to get close to you. That's why your magic energy is going ape shit."
"To sense the energy, you need to pay close attention to you body.
"Just feel it inside your body, it will be like there are specific points that the pain is originating from it will feel like there's vibrations coming from those points, those are called your energy nodes. While you are trying to calm the energy, those points will slowly stop vibrating so much. You won't be able to stop them from vibrating completely, that's because there's still energy in your body. Unless you completely exhaust the energy in your body, 'As long as there's a vibration there is energy, and there will be no vibration if there's no energy. But try to make the violent vibrations stop. If you want to control it you'll first need to calm down completely, your magic power will sense that you're safe when it feels your emotion and it will also do the same. You can try using an inner voice to just keep saying 'it's okay, you're safe.' You can even say it out loud if you like, just talk to the energy, feel it, console it, tame it, control it."
Drake immediately realized what she was saying when she described it like this. It was true that even though he had been trying to keep calm actually deep down he was still anxious and terrified that he was in danger of death. After all even the strongest man or a madman was terrified of death talk less of him. He just knew how to control himself better in times of fear.
Drake quickly got to work, first things first he tried feeling the origin of the pain he kept experiencing, but he didn't try to search his whole body all at once instead he tried focusing on only his hand. True to what had been explained, he found the points on his body where the pain was coming from one was in the center of his palm, but then something else happened.
He had kept both eyes closed so he could concentrate more clearly and to prevent distractions, but as he focused more on that specific point he soon realized that somehow he could almost see the activity inside his palm.
At first he thought it was only his imagination but the more focused he was the clearer it got, it was like he had opened another eye, one that had been closed for a long time or in his case one that he never knew he had and so it had never been opened before. It allowed him to see the inside of his body though it was blurred at first the more concentrated he was the clearer it got and soon he was able to clearly see the inside of his body.
From his muscles, to his bones, blood vessels and cells, and even what he thought were the nerves. It was quite the strange feeling he had never felt so aware and in control before, it shocked him. 'Is this the inner vision that she mentioned but she said I don't have the telepath affinity. Maybe I'll ask her about it later.' He thought then returned his attention to the source of the discomfort.
Then he saw it looked like a bubble, it contained a type violet colored substance. It looked similar to smog or mist or was it vapor or liquid. He didn't know what to call it. 'So this is an energy node!' he exclaimed inwardly. It was shaking extremely violently, hell it looked like it was about to burst, with several bulges all over it, making its surface irregular all around.
Taking a deep breath, Drake stopped thinking about anything else. He didn't forcibly try to force himself to calm down, he didn't try using any meditation techniques or whatnot, he just let himself relax. Sometimes he would remember everything he had done tonight, or maybe something he had seen while browsing on his Sky link or other random things, he didn't do anything but tell that thing and himself that he was safe and there were no enemies around, no one could hurt him.
He also quickly located the exact positions of all the other nodes all around his body of course doing so was much easier than the first time. He did the same thing for them when he found them all. While he was doing this he even found the barrier that had been sealing the magic energy.
As he did this, though not immediately, but gradually the berserk energy roaming around him started to calm. Queen watched this quietly from the side, her gaze soon changed to surprise, then to shock as she watched the energy calming. 'How? What's going on? How is he already able to connect emotionally with the magic energy? This shouldn't be possible especially not in such a short amount of time.' She thought, after all this had never happened before. In all her years she had never seen or heard of someone that successfully got through this stage in such a short time.
Drake soon noticed that the vibrations were calming until they were no longer violent instead it was like a pulse, he also felt the energy around him was calming down. It was quite the experience, initially it was like he was caught in a tornado, a flood and in an active volcano all at once, it was aggressive. But now, it was like he was soaking in a warm bath or sunshine with the light breeze of nature blowing against his skin, though there was still that pressure that made him feel a little uncomfortable, it was all calm. "I think I got it, so how do I control the energy?"
Queen hastily snapped out of her reverie at the sound of his voice, "Oh. Good, good keep at it! Now you just need to tell it to do what ever you want it to do."
"How do I do that?"
"You have to will your intention, the energy is just like one of your limbs it's a part of you. As long as you tell it what you want it will obey. Just like you would will your arm to throw a punch or grab hold of something, it's the same thing with magic power. It's just a limb you just never knew you had so you just have to learn how to move it, once you can do that you can just have it disperse." she explained and gave him a few more pointers to help him.
He nodded at her and immediately got to work, It might have been easy to say, but it was actually extremely hard to actually do it, he kept trying and trying to make the energy move to his will but it stubbornly remained still as if it couldn't hear him.
'Make it move to your intention, make it move to your intention. How the hell do I do that?'
Drake started getting impatient, he had no idea how he was supposed to make it move according to his intention.
"Wait! This thing is connected to my thoughts right? In that case, what if…" Drake was not one to waste time, he immediately put his idea to work. He began to imagine himself and the energy being part of each other, he then pictured the energy returning into the seal. He kept doing his best not to think about anything else but this, the thought kept getting clearer and clearer in his mind until suddenly the energy shivered slightly. It was very slight and almost unnoticeable, but he had felt the change. This caused him great excitement, so he continued to project the same thought.
Suddenly the magic energy began to slowly follow the path he was directing it until it found its way to the seal, the energy began to gradually seep back into the seal. The more it moved with his intention the faster it got, until finally all the energy that had been floating around him retreated into his body and disappeared into the crack in his seal.
Dumbfounded, Queen remained stuck in place unable to believe what she was seeing as the energy soon completely retreated into his body and his eyes opened.
He was about to stand up when he remembered that he was no longer wearing any clothes, so he called out to the stunned lady, "Hey, do you think you can get me some clothes?"
