My eyes widened, and my heart nearly stopped. It wasn't just a reflection… it was someone else who looked exactly like me. Same features, same hair, but they weren't moving as I was.
They were just staring at me.
I slowly lifted my hand, but the other version of me didn't do the same. It just stood there, unblinking, expressionless, as if it was studying me.
A shiver crawled up my spine. This wasn't possible… this wasn't me!
"Who… are you?" I whispered, my voice barely escaping my lips.
No response. No movement. But then—it smiled.
A slow, creeping smile that made my breath hitch. That wasn't my smile. It was… wrong.
Then, suddenly, the light in my room went out.
I screamed, stumbling back, crashing onto my bed. The darkness was thick, swallowing everything. I couldn't see.
But I heard it.
"I finally found you, Iris."
I froze, every part of me screaming run, but I couldn't move.
Then, just as suddenly, the light came back on.
I jumped up, spinning toward the mirror—
There was nothing there.
Just my normal reflection. Everything seemed as it was. But I knew… I knew I hadn't been alone in that room just moments ago.
Something was here.
And it was still looking for me.
To be continued…
