"Calm down," Christiana thought, trying to suppress her fury. "She's doing it on purpose."
No one had ever dared respond to her in such a manner.
"I see. So you're implying that your sister-in-law lacks common sense, right?"
She smiled icily.
"In other words, my older brother does too—because we're twins and share the same womb."
She dared, intertwining her fingers with a sly smirk.
The tension in the room spiked as one of the maids—Fiona, the head maid—stepped forward.
"The audacity to insinuate that about Master!" Fiona snapped.
"I mean, seriously! It's bad enough Master took you in with someone else's child, and now you're insinuating such a thing? How ungrateful!"
Just then, Fiona caught Christiana raising her hand in a subtle gesture and immediately backed off, though her glare remained fixed on Silva.
Meanwhile, Silva smirked at the ongoing dynamic.
"It's almost as if they planned to team up against anything I say," she thought.
"But the reality is, she's even more stupid than I thought."
Silva glanced at Christiana.
"Well, shall we take advantage then, Silva?"
"Christiana, right? To be quite frank with you, you truly lack the ability to think before you speak!"
Silva began with a slick and wicked smile.
The maids exchanged glances, their expressions ranging from shock to curiosity at the blatant insult.
"Because clearly, sharing the same womb with your older brother has nothing to do with common sense. In fact, if that were the case—which it's not—then your older brother is far smarter than you!"
Silva concluded, intertwining her fingers as her smile grew narrower and colder.
"Yes, it seems most of the common sense you should've had was transferred to him."
She affirmed, watching Christiana's face twist with shock and humiliation.
"I guess she's a brat who's never been spoken to like this before," Silva thought coldly, holding her gaze.
Just as she anticipated, Christiana lost it, her anger erupting as she swung her arm to slap Silva. But midway through, she froze, hand trembling in the air, as Silva eyes widen in shock.
"Everyone, leave us!"
Christiana commanded venomously, glaring at the maids.
Immediately, all the maids filed out, leaving the room empty. Meanwhile, Claudia stood just outside with the other maids, listening to the hushed whispers.
"Master's new mistress seems like she doesn't know her boundaries," one maid remarked.
"Well, she's about to be taught a lesson," Fiona said coldly.
"But sometimes... her behavior reminds me of Master's ex. It's almost scary," another maid added, stepping out of the line.
"Do you think it's okay to report this scene to him as well? After all, he's the one who needs us to give him an overview of her actions."
"Yes, we're going to report this too," Fiona replied without hesitation. "Besides, her behavior is becoming unacceptable."
The hesitant maid lowered her gaze, realizing her mistake.
"And who told you Master only needs an overview of her actions? He specifically said, 'Every detail!'"
"I'm so sorry... I'll watch my tongue," the maid mumbled apologetically.
Meanwhile, Claudia panicked, worried that the maids might pick on her for being out all day with Silva. Suddenly, the sound of shattering glass came from the room.
"Is she okay?!"
Claudia thought, both concerned and fearful for Silva.
The other maids, however, seemed almost pleased, exchanging glances and smirking as they listened.
Inside the room, Christiana, in a fit of rage, yanked the tablecloth, sending all the food crashing to the floor. Her breathing was heavy, and fury burned in her eyes.
"I really want to slap the hell out of her annoying behavior!"
Silva thought, feeling her patience wearing thin.
"Judging from everything I've noticed, she seems like a spoiled brat who gets away with everything... and she's even close to Christian!"
Silva thought, watching Christiana throw a tantrum like a child.
"Silva... I'll never accept you, not in a million years."
Christiana's tone darkened as she yanked her wrist away from Silva.
"In fact, none of the Brandos will ever accept you!"
"Oh, and before I leave... Christian will never love you. After all, you're just stalling until his real lover comes back from studying overseas!"
With that, Christiana turned and left.
"The one he was meant to marry."
"If only you knew how much of a joke you are..."
Silva responded coldly, a smile playing on her lips as she watched Christiana walk up the stairs.
"Christian and I only married for personal gain. Personal feelings only bring distractions to the goal of this marriage!"
Silva thought, her gaze lingering on Christiana's angry retreat.
"And I'm certainly sure it's the same for him."
She added, a slight hesitation in her thoughts.
"You'll soon see who the real joker is," Christiana sneered before moving on.
