Synopsis
Kayn Adams was a righteous man. Selfless, kind, and ignored. Until death did he only realize that his efforts came in vain. But was that really the end? Awakening in the void, Kayn heard a voice: "Reign Supreme." Gifted a power unlike any other, he enters a world ruled by Dominion Arts—where those with authority shape reality itself. But Kayn’s Dominion is not land, nor sky, nor fire. It is Damnation. A realm of endless suffering, where a single second is confused with eternity. A place where time itself is a punishment. Now, in a world of kings and conquerors, Kayn walks his own path. No throne, no crown—only judgment. For those who stand against him, there is only one fate: Everlasting Damnation.

Chapter 1 - What has been of Life?

Have you ever felt that the world around you is indifferent? That the things here and there don't seem to bother society at all, even at someone's stake? At the surface, it all just seems like greetings and formalities, but really, they don't care.

Is it that hard to believe that people don't change? Or maybe, things you wish were different, never really came along? What kind of faith do you put into this world, for you to believe it's worth it?

Your life up to this point could be anything, anything that you wish made a difference because you knew that others won't take their time to look a second glance. Yet, for some reason, you might continue to be kind. Considerate. Compassionate. For what? Sympathy? Empathy? Do you expect that life is a mirror? Reflecting all the good you do perfectly?

Well, that's what he believed, at least.

Always seeming to be righteous in every definition of it. And you'd think he ever only does this for fame, recognition, or reward. But I'll be damned to say he never sought out such indignities. He was upbringing for the life around him, ever-so grateful for the way it was.

I guess some people aren't able to see what this world really is.

Kayn Adams. A young man who didn't know any better than to think that the people around him would always stay by his side if he did the same. To think he knew what it meant to be righteous and selfless, just because he believed it to be that way.

Surprisingly, he had ambitions to lead the people around him towards what he'd call a common goal. Smiling at every face, laughing at every word, he'd always stay upbeat in whatever time that came upon him, and he thought things would keep at it simple for him to bear.

But do you really think life is that simple?

Do you think problems would fix themselves on their own just because you're struggling? Thinking the universe would do you a favor over your incapability? Over all you've done, do you think someone would give you a break?

Hell no.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, all he really wanted was a life he could enjoy. A life worth living up to his expectations. And to tell you the truth, everyone wants that. But do you know why society hasn't changed to make this a reality?

Not a lack of resources. Not a lack of manpower. Heck, the world isn't even lacking at all.

It's the people themselves. You and me, us and them, and the rest of the world.

It's no surprise really for that to be the case, yet only a handful truly know this truth. No wonder the world is in its current predicament. It put itself in it. But I bet you can't seem to put a finger on a reason why people are like this.

For as long as we've known, our society should continue to strive towards advancement in a lot of things. Technology, infrastructure, agriculture, and perhaps more to say. And yet, look where we've gone now.

Because we've developed too much, it's beginning to destroy ourselves inside out.

All of these things come to pass, and Kayn doesn't know any of it at all. Just as clueless as those who neglect their chances of accepting this reality and continue to be blindsided by happiness.

He didn't know anything, at least... not yet.

For the last 27 years of his life, he had come to a point where everything seemed like it was at a standstill. His middle years began to walk with him, as his days became a forward loop that always ended the same way.

But, because of his optimism, he always carried with him a smile of fortitude. Built on the faith that life would get better. Structured on the hope that things would turn out great for him.

These things of his stayed close to him because he thought it was all going to go away eventually. And yet, it didn't.

It was dawn, the horizon far beyond the clouds. And it felt like any other day would ever be. Regardless of whether it was a weekday or weekend, it just didn't feel any different. Knowing the day after is just going to be the same, why hope at all?

In his subconscious, he was feeling down in this subtle revelation. Then he thought about his co-workers and that maybe they could come together and.. hang out.

That thought of something positive, something upbeat for once, felt astronomical because even if he was optimistic, this was simply letting him down. And so, he straightened himself up, hoping for the best, reaching out a call to one of his co-workers.

"H-hey! I know this might be a little late, but since it's the weekend, I've been thinking we could hang out. How does that sound?'

Stuttering over his edge, he gave his courage to speak out, almost sure that they would agree to join him.

And yet, the call ended in a beep.

You know that feeling when you really had high hopes for something or someone because of how much you cared about it? But in the very end, all that trust that built up to that point just disappears? And all you're left with is fragments of what you once called joy? There's a word for it. Disillusionment.

This illusion of connection he thought he had, just because he believed he made a good impression, in which it led to this complete disappointment of an attempt to make something happen. He didn't want to believe it, nor did he want to give in to the truth, but looking at that screen, it spoke more than enough to tell him what it really is.

At that moment, he stopped in his tracks. Dropping the phone. As it cracked, looking ahead towards the sunset of day.

"But.. why?"

Truth is, he could answer his own question right then and there, but he didn't want to. He knew answering that would rip apart everything he knew about how the world should be. How things should work and how people should act.

Despite his odds, he couldn't help but doubt himself, his co-workers, and the world.

At one point, he's going to find out exactly why this came to be, why the world stays like this, why these things happen even if people know what's right and wrong. He was stuck-up in his own head for way too long, thinking it was alright. But finally? He's going to see what it really meant.
