After Min-Ji and her lackeys left Seo-Yeon started another round of drinking. She wanted to let herself lose for once.
But after an hour of drinking and dancing, she regretted her decision.
"Ahh, why did I drink so much?" Seo-Yeon held her stomach. "Why am I so f*cked up?" Seo-Yeon groaned as she ran towards the trash can to empty her stomach.
She had too much alcohol. And the extra wine she had while confronting young master Tae-Yun made her stomach churn.
She felt as if her guts were coming out of her mouth, as she bent down to vomit.
And the smell of the trashcan was not helping her to stop her vomit.
After emptying her stomach, she leaned on the wall for support.
Her legs felt weak, so she rested her head back closing her eyes to steady herself.
The night was silent and peaceful. But what Seo-Yeon needed was the distraction.
Distraction to stop the thoughts crawling in her head.
To forget the loss she was suffering, the betrayal of her husband and son.
"Daddy, why did you send mom to the school? I don't want to be humiliated because of her. My friend's mothers are so beautiful. Why is my mom so ugly and fat? I don't want to go with her."
"Jae-Min, I'm already busy enough. Your mother is the only one who doesn't work and freeload in this family." her husband's cruel words stabbed her heart as the tears trickled down from her eyes.
"I don't care. I don't want to go with her. My friends all call me a pig because my mom looks like a pig" her son started crying.
Seo-Yeon stood in the kitchen watching everything with agony.
She was so happy when Tae-Won agreed to marry her. She loved him with her whole heart.
They were childhood sweethearts. Everyone in the college envied their relationship.
They were a perfect couple in everyone's eyes.
The young master of the Im family, and a young lady of the Kim family.
Both were from an aristocratic family. Both families had money, fame, and running a successful business in different industries.
And both families had a long-cherished friendship.
She was happy, she was loved, and she looked forward to building a comfortable life with Tae-Won.
But everything changed when her family went bankrupt. The hotels run by her family were seized because of selling illegal drugs and the unhygienic environment in the kitchen.
The news even reported that the hotel staff used to mix the drugs into the food served to the customers, to make them addicted to the drug.
She was already pregnant when this happened. It was Tae-Won who came to her family's rescue.
He promised to marry her and convinced her parents to sell the business to him so that he could use his connection to save the business.
She was not sure if he married her because her parents demanded that he marry her before they sold the hotels and their business to him.
After marriage, her parents left the city selling everything to Tae-Won. And she never contacted her parents again.
She was angry and disappointed with her parents for doing such a nasty thing. Doing illegal business was something a noble family should not do.
She trusted everything Tae-Won and Min-Ji said about her parents and became distant from them as the years passed.
Now she doesn't even know where her parents are. In what condition they are living their life?
She is such an ungrateful child. She is their only child, they provided her with a luxurious life, bathed her, dressed her, and educated her. They did everything to satisfy her needs.
They loved her unconditionally.
When she wanted to become an idol, they helped her to pursue her dreams.
They accepted the fact that she was not interested in the family business, and readily agreed to give it to her husband so that she could be happy. She could be worry-free.
Tears prickled down from her closed eyes. Her head was aching because of the alcohol.
A loud thud broke the silence. Seo-Yeon looked in that direction.
Her eyes were blurred because of the tears, she squinted her eyes to look at the silhouettes.
It looked like three people carrying something in the sack.
Even with her vision blurred she notices that the sack in their hand is moving.
What is the nightclub throwing out at the dead night?
She was sure it was not trash, because trash in the bag never moves.
If it moves then there must be a living fish in the trash.
One should never throw out a living fish. They should kill it and cook a delicious meal with it.
"Is it moving?" Seo-Yeon rubbed her blurry eyes before focusing on the people again.
If they have a living fish, she will ask them to give it to her.
"Ahh, it's moving-" she slapped her hand on her mouth when the man carrying the sack turned around to look in her direction.
All three men and Seo-yeon stood facing each other.
"You have a living fish in that sack, right? Give it to me" She stood there extending her hands.
Since they are here to throw it away, she can get a free fish.
Her mouth watered when she thought about what all the dishes she could cook with the fish.
"You go and kill her" the first man instructed the second man.
"But boss we aren't supposed to kill anyone." The man replied hesitating.
"I know but she saw us kidnapping. She knows we have living people in the sack. We can't risk getting caught" the boss said. "Go and kill her."
"Okay, Boss." The man turned walking towards Seo-Yeon.
Seo-Yoen was stunned in place.
What? Kidnap?
Did they not have living fish inside the sack?
Where had her living cost-free fish gone?
What had she stumbled upon?
Why is her luck always bad?
God, can't you have mercy? Were the problems in her life not enough, now she had stumbled upon someone being kidnapped.
Is today the day her miserable life comes to an end?
But she hasn't even had the chance to meet her parents, she hasn't achieved anything in her life.
She had so much to do, and so many apologies to ask.
Why?
Why now?
She blocks the incoming attack with her left upper arm and kicks the man's abdomen with her right knee.
She can't die here...
The weapon in the man's hand falls to the ground with a clank.
She fists the man's hair in both her hands and pulls him down, kicking him in the face with her knee.
She needs to get divorced from her husband.
When he falls on the ground in pain she steps on his back and gives a few harsh kicks.
The two other men standing near the sack, drop it on the ground and rush toward her.
She can't die as Tae-Won's wife.
She ducks the first man approaching her and moves to the second man, punching him in the face, she constantly punches his face when the first man approaches her again. She turns around and blocks him kicking him on his legs.
He falls on his keens, and she punches his head to the wall. When the second man approaches her, she bends down and holds his wrist performing a shoulder flip.
She just can't die here...
"D*mn, My hand-" Seo-Yeon curses when her hand gets cut by the third person who should be on the floor.
"You bast*rd, how dare you-"
A punch lands on the man's face, he stumbles back. Seo-Yeon looks around and finds a stone.
She picks it up and runs towards the man ready to hit his head, but the man falls unconscious.
"Ahh-" She looks baffled at the man on the floor.
Shaking her head she throws the rock to the side. Her left hand has a long cut, the blood flowing through dying her dress.
"It's such a mess in here. Let's get home" She dusts her dress and gets ready to leave.
The sack in the distance moves again.
A muffled cry can be heard in the ally.
Oh, I totally forgot about the sack.
My free fish...
She slowly approaches the sack, "Hey there, whoever is in there don't try to do anything. I'm here to help"
The sack stops moving. She slowly bends down to loosen the knot.
"How I wish whoever in this sack could turn into a fish and I could kill the fish and cook-"
When she undoes the knot two cute, adorable kids emerge from the sack.
F*ck.
Their mouths are sealed with tape, hands are tied in the front.
She wasn't loud with her voice, right?
Their eyes show the emotion of terror and helplessness.
Big drops of tears roll down their cheeks, as they sniff.
Ahh, they definitely heard about her talking...
But their cute little faces melts Seo-Yeon's heart like ice.
"Shush, don't cry. Aunty is here" Seo-Yeon consoles them, whipping their tears.
They pull back with fear when she tries to touch them.
"Don't worry, I won't eat you. I was talking about fish, Okay. Be a good kid and let Aunty untie you" She smiled sweetly at the kids.
She slowly removes the tape on their mouth and undoes the ties around their hands.
She gently pulls them out of the sack and helps them stand up.
She looks at them crouching down, their eyes are filled with fear.
Are they too small to understand her words?
Let's try again.
"I promise, I won't eat-"
Before she could finish, she felt a strong hit against her head, and then everything went blank.
