1. Ending the Madness
Five days had passed.
During these five days, Bang continued to live like a walking corpse. He didn't speak, didn't complain, and didn't even show anger. He simply went to work, came home, and followed his routine.
But no one knew that his heart was dead.
On this day, he was once again scolded by his boss at work, unfairly blamed for something, and everyone mocked him coldly. Bang didn't argue or get angry; he just quietly lowered his head, staring at the ground with dead eyes.
He didn't care anymore.
At 10 PM, Bang returned home.
Pushing open the door, he saw the familiar scene—broken furniture, cold air, his mother's silence, Qin's melancholy, and the drunken man on the sofa—his father.
Bang stood at the door, looking at this scene, and suddenly had an answer in his heart.
—It was time to end it all.
2. The First Blood
The kitchen knife was cold and heavy, but when he held it, Bang's heartbeat was unusually calm.
He walked slowly into the living room, standing behind his father. His father was still immersed in the numbness of alcohol, mumbling words that no one could understand.
Bang raised the knife, his eyes indifferent.
—Clack!
The sound of the blade cutting through flesh was particularly clear in the silent night.
His father's body jerked violently, his eyes widening in disbelief as he turned back to look at Bang. His mouth opened slightly, but he couldn't make a sound.
Blood gushed out from the wound, splattering on the floor.
His mother's and Qin's screams tore through the night.
Bang slowly released the knife handle, looking calmly at the blood on his hands.
At that moment, he felt no guilt, no regret, not even pleasure.
He just felt—finally liberated.
3. The Shattered Home
His mother knelt on the ground, crying bitterly. Qin hugged her mother, trembling all over, unable to speak.
Bang stood there, silent for a long time, and finally said softly:
"It's fortunate that the two younger sisters aren't home, or they would have seen this."
Then, he slowly knelt down, as if saying goodbye to his mother and Qin.
He didn't ask for forgiveness, because he knew he no longer belonged to this family.
This was his final respect.
His mother and Qin didn't stop him, didn't call the police, didn't scream; they just cried, watching Bang leave.
Bang slowly stood up, turning his back to his mother and Qin, looking at the dark night sky.
At that moment, his heart was completely frozen, and his future was severed from the past.
But just as he stepped out of the door, a tear silently fell, dripping onto the cold floor.
That was the last time he cried for this world.
Bang left home and walked into the darkness.
He knew he could never go back.
