Chapter 2 - The Game Begins.

Dylan's perspective:**

As I watched Eva leave the house, I felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. I knew she was walking into my trap, and I couldn't wait to see how she'd react. I poured myself another glass of whiskey and sat down on the couch, my eyes fixed on the clock. It was 11:45 PM - just 15 minutes until Eva would meet me at the old oak tree.

I took a sip of my whiskey, feeling the smooth, smoky flavor burn down my throat. I was a master of manipulation, and I knew I had Eva right where I wanted her. Just as I was starting to get impatient, I heard footsteps outside. I looked up to see Eva standing in the doorway, her eyes fixed on me with fear and determination.

"You're not who I think you are, are you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

I smiled, feeling excitement and anticipation. The game was on, and I was ready to play. But just as I was about to respond, Eva's phone buzzed with an incoming text. She looked down at the screen, her eyes widening in shock.

"What is it?" I asked, my voice cold and detached.

Eva looked up at me, her eyes filled with fear. "It's my mom," she said, her voice trembling. "She's in the hospital."

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. This wasn't part of my plan. "Good," I said, my voice devoid of empathy. "Now you'll do exactly as I say."

Eva's eyes widened in shock, but I just smiled. "We'll go to the hospital," I said, "but you'll do it my way. You'll follow my instructions, and you'll do exactly as I say."

Eva nodded, her eyes filled with tears. I could see the fear and desperation in her eyes, and I knew I had her right where I wanted her. I pulled out my phone and dialed a number. "James, bring the car around. We're going to the hospital."

A few minutes later, my driver, James, pulled up in my black SUV. I opened the door and motioned for Eva to get in. As we drove to the hospital, Eva sat in silence, her eyes fixed on the window.

We arrived at the hospital, and I could see the chaos and confusion surrounding us. Nurses and doctors rushed to and fro, their faces filled with concern. Eva's eyes scanned the room, searching for her mom. And then, she saw her.

Her mom was lying in a hospital bed, her face pale and weak. Eva's eyes widened in shock, and she rushed to her mom's side. As Eva reached out to touch her mom's hand, I grabbed her arm, holding her back.

"Not so fast," I whispered, my voice cold and menacing.

Eva turned to me, her eyes filled with confusion and fear. "What do you want from me?" she asked, her voice trembling.

I smiled, feeling excitement and anticipation. "You're going to do exactly as I say," I said, my voice low and husky.

Just as I was about to make my next move, a loud voice boomed from behind us. "Dylan, what are you doing?"

I turned to see my older brother, Alexander, standing in the doorway, his eyes fixed on me with anger and concern. We had a complicated history, but one thing was for sure - he had no idea what I had been up to.

"Eva and I are just discussing some... family business," I said, my voice smooth and calculated.

Alexander's eyes narrowed, his gaze flicking between Eva and me. "I don't think so," he said, his voice low and menacing.

Eva's eyes darted between us, her face pale and frightened. "I... I don't know," she stammered.

I smiled, feeling satisfaction. This was getting interesting. Alexander's presence had just added a new layer of complexity to my plan.

And then, just as Alexander was about to take a step closer, his eyes locked onto something behind me. His expression changed from anger to shock, and he took a step back.

"What is it, Alexander?" I asked, my voice dripping with curiosity.

Alexander's eyes were fixed on something, and he didn't respond. I turned to see what had caught his attention, and my heart skipped a beat.

Eva's mom was sitting up in bed, her eyes fixed on me with a mixture of fear and recognition. And then, she spoke, her voice barely above a whisper...

"Dylan, you're... you're not who you say you are."
