Chapter 2 - Elon

Standing at the corner of a crosswalk was a young boy—Elon, with brown hair dancing to the wind. He was waiting for the vehicles to pass and for the lights to change so he could cross over.

He was on his school-like uniform. On his upper body was a wine color blazer outside, while the inside was a white T-shirt with brown tie adored with golden.

Below his lower half, he had on a long black trouser. And finally on his foot was a black school shoe.

Elon was a six foot tall teenager, with a body as that of one who regularly does morning routine.

His body wasn't that built, but was about the right statue for a boy his age.

..

After waiting for what seemed like a long time, the traffic lights finally turned green, as the incoming vehicles stopped.

Elon gave a sigh of relief and held his back pack tightly on his shoulders as he crossed the road.

He was a well dressed student who was just coming back from school, and heading to his home.

With such modest dressing even after school hours had ended, someone could tell that he was a responsible kid.

He had lived with his grandmother for the past twelve years, as his parents left him with her when he was just five years old.

Elon could still remember the day his parents left.

On the night his parents left, he didn't show any form of weakness as a normal child would.

And most certainly didn't cry.

Although he knew one thing for sure. He knew that something must have happened for them to leave in such a hurry like that, and so he made it his ambition to find out what happened that faithful night.

He asked his grandmother multiple times about why his parents left, because at that time he was still a child and didn't understand the situation.

However, even after 299 attempts, he still didn't get an answer from her.

_

Elon got home, and as he was about to open the door, he noticed the door wasn't locked.

"Hmph…? Did grandma leave the door open again?" Elon shook his head with a smile on his face, as he knew that this was a regular habit of hers.

"That old woman, when would she learn?"

Elon entered the house and locked the door. However, as soon as he turned he saw three strange black shoes at the corridor.

They looked like men's shoes, although he wasn't sure whose they were for.

Elon knew his grandmother never got visitors, and even if she did it would be one of her old friends she meets at the convenience store.

Seeing this, Elon quickly took his shoes off and slowly walked to the living room as he began hearing a voice talking.

..

"I'm telling you, there is no one here that matches the description of the person you are looking for."

Elon immediately stopped as he heard this statement. It was from his grandmother, but he needed to know who she was talking to.

Elon rested his back on the wall and moved slowly to take a peak at who was in the living room with his grandmother.

With a light peak at one side of his eyes, he saw three men all in black suits and sunglasses.

They had a very intimidating appearance coming from them. Although, they were all seated on the floor with their legs in a Seiza position staring at grandmother Agatha, who was seated on the sofa, while a small table stood at their center.

'What are these kind of people doing here?' Elon thought.

He could tell that it was strange for such people to be here, as this wasn't a movie.

'Are they with the government? The CIA? or some secret organization?'

Elon couldn't get the right answers, since this wasn't something that happens everyday.

While he was still staring at them, his grandmother caught a glimpse of his head, making him pull back.

'Grandma just saw me. Should I just go in there?'

Elon thought for a while, however he couldn't get the uneasy feeling he was having.

'No. Not yet I want to listen to what they are talking about before going in.'

"I'm sorry madam but we are sure that this is the place we were told to visit."

One of the three men spoke, with a thick voice.

'It was the middle guy that spoke just now isn't it?' Elon thought, while he took a look back at them.

He saw the hands of the man in the middle moving, so he was certain that it was him who spoke.

"Like I said earlier, you have gotten the wrong house."

Grandmother Agatha spoke calmly, but had a slight anger in her tone.

"I hear you madan, but can we search the house to make sure that we are not wrong?"

The man in the middle spoke again.

'Search the house? Who are they looking for and why will they take it as far as searching the house?'

Elon was puzzled at this moment, he was not certain what was going on, however there was one thing he was sure about.

'These people aren't from the government neither are they the CIA, because those guys don't need permission to raid a person's home. They would just show you their badges and do as they please. So all that's left is… they are from a secret organization. One that I don't know about.'

Learning this truth, Elon squinted at the direction of these men. They seem to be trying to get up. And that was when the thought hit him.

'Hold up, what if it is me that they are looking for. It is obvious that it is not my grandmother and since they are saying that their source is correct, that could only mean that I am the one they are looking for. But why are they looking for me?'

Elon's mind was clouded with thoughts that even himself couldn't start to count.

They were questions to be answered.

"I'm sorry for the disturbance we have caused you madam, but we would be taking our leave now."

The same man spoke, while they all rose to their feet.

'Oh they are coming this way!'

Elon immediately got an idea. He quickly ran outside and acted as if he was just coming back

As soon as he reached the outside, he waited for a little while because he knew they would have to wear their shoes before leaving.

And so, just at the right time, he opened the door and mistakenly bumped into the first man.

"Oh sorry…"

Elon apologized while he carefully went inside the house without turning back.

This movement of his became suspicious to the men as they began to talk amongst themselves.

Meanwhile, Elon had already gotten inside and shut the door.

"Hey grandma, who were those people I saw just now!" Elon asked with a rather curious expression.

"Oh my boy. I will tell you later." Grandmother Agatha said as she immediately stood up to check the windows.

'They are still hanging around.' She thought.

"What's wrong grandma?"

Elon questioned as she saw the movement his grandmother made. He could tell that something was wrong.

"Don't worry about it and go to your bedroom?"

"Wait wait… why are you pushing me? Are those men still outside? I can deal with them."

Agatha smiled as she heard these, but it didn't stop her from completing her mission.

She was able to get Elon into his room, and afterwards went to the front door to make sure that it was locked.

Meanwhile, Elon came out of his room with his hand scratching the back of his neck.

"This old lady… where did she get such strength from."

As soon as he was out of his room, he was in complete view of his grandmother as he watched her going to lock the door.

However, in the blink of an eye he saw her flying on the, only a few inches away from himself.

THUD!
