Chapter 27 - Fight of the Scared Waterfalls (1)

In the dim light of the dark night, The waterfalls shined with the twilight reflection of the moonlight. The birds had fallen in their deep sleep and only sounds of water could be heard around the wooden, cracked house that resembled that of ruins itself from the outside.

The waterfalls surrounded the wooden house from both sides, lining one by one for a decent distance ahead.

In between the waterfalls, there was a long road with a decent width, made from a type of pristine white rocks. At the end of the road, there resides the wooden house.

However, the road seemed unimaginably long. From afar on that white pristine road, a man was running with his full speed that he could pull out.

Drops of blood were railing down his body, reaching the white rocks beneath him. He was holding his right arm with the left one because it seemed badly injured.

In his right hand, resided a long knife which was bent a little reaching the tip. The knife was too long and sharp that it could cut the rocks he was running on with ease.

The man kept running while breathing heavily, so heavily that the air he needed wasn't enough with each breath within his two lungs. If he had a third lung, he would be breathing normally.

On his right arm which he held using the left arm was severely injured with what seemed a stab deep into his shoulder. The fact that he was still able to hold that long knife with his injured arm tells that he is a formidable, experienced warrior.

Still, if someone fights him now, he won't stand any chance.

Only if he could use that long knife with the left arm of his, Things would be different.

The man, eventually, reached the waterfalls and kept running on the road. The waterfalls that stood on both sides were so gigantic that it seemed like a small mountains that had some water railing down from the top.

"(Breathing heavily) Shit! Shit!"

Grabbing his injured shoulder more tightly, The man groaned out of pain which was quite bad. Suddenly, an old, cracked wooden house appeared in his line of sight and shortly after that he reached the house, but he didn't enter inside.

"Ugh! I have to prepare very quickly. Shit! He came already!"

At the end of his vision line, A silhouette was emerging from within the thick fog that surrounded the whole area. He was walking step by step slowly. As he kept getting closer, his figure became clearer.

He was a man dressed in dark green assassin clothes with a bandana tied around his neck and the bottom of his mouth too. His face had two scars, one on the edge of his lips and one drawn horizontally on his forehead.

The assassin smiled a dark one indeed, with his eyes slightly closed, resembling a type of death stares. His aura was so powerful that he emanated some type of dark green matter.

Getting closer and closer to the injured man that ran from him with his full speed, he welcomed him... Again!

"Hehe. Hello, scumbag."

"I said that he died long ago, leave me and mind your own business, Parmas!"

The man named Parmas was the assassin clothed in dark green, he stopped in his tracks and looked at the knocked down man who was injured with pity and said in a mocking tone:

"Playin' with me isn't in your favor, let me pass and I will spare your life."

"NEVER! I WILL NEVER LET YOU PASS. ON MY DEAD BODY!!!"

The injured man shouted at him with all of his breath could hold. Thanks to the waterfalls, his voice suppressed his voice unless everyone near them would have heard him and he didn't want that to happen for some hidden reason.

"Dead! You say. Hehehehe, hahahahahahaha." The assassin burst into laughter. After he finished, he stared at the injured man and simply said:

"I will be generous with you. Say thanks, because your killer will bury your pathetic self himself."

The injured man looked at him with glazing eyes of anger and fury. Immediately, he stood up and held the long knife with both of his hands... Uh, That wasn't a knife to begin with.

It's a Katana! A type of long swords that has a slight curve that ends with the tip, The handle of the sword was created for the holder to hold the sword with his two hands, making his stance more formidable and his slashes more accurate.

"Let's see who will bury who then, Scum Parmas!"

A nerve has popped on the assassin's forehead, hinting at his irritation state toward the injured man.

"You... Think you can bury me?! I wonder... how your scream would look like after cutting one of your hands. Or maybe... In half if you want."

With those words coming out from the ridge of his mouth, the fight has been declared. The injured man rushed to the assassin while shifting his katana upside down. The injured man intended to do so, only to unleash a slash from below.

The assassin stood still, watching the katana flash in front of him from below. The injured man wanted to severely injure the assassin or rather kill him instead.

Suddenly, the sword cuts the assassin in half separating the head, the right arm, and some of his torso. As soon as the injured warrior slashed him, his figure became blurry and he understood what it meant very well.

The assassin himself flashed behind the injured warrior with unimaginable speed.

The injured warrior groaned from the pain he felt in his shoulder and instantly gripped the katana more tighter and with his back still facing the assassin, the injured man held his katana in a defensive form, but behind his back.

Clank!

He didn't have any time to rotate and defend himself normally, so he had to do that in order to save his skin from another stab that would have been his end.

Immediately, both of them jumped at a decent distance from each other and held their weapons tighter in their hands. The fight was just starting.

The assassin held his weapon with only one hand as it was only a dagger, a dark green dagger that started from the handle as a thin metal to get thicker until it reached the tip. He licked the dagger and said:

"You have improved I must say, Spiren."
