The days that followed had been fairly quiet.
Mira had been tasked with assisting with professors classes. Making copies, handing out tests and setting up for classes. She loved it but she had made a point that none of the professors had tried to sleep with her. Disappointed over the fact that only one that was apperantly gorgeous had showed less interest and had even said, although not against the rules was unethical and had asked her to be civil.
Amber had laughed at that. Mira had enough guys willing to jump through fire for a night with her, maybe that was the problem. She wanted something that she needed to work for.
Amber was basically the Librarian, sorting through dusty books and stamping Library cards. Sometimes she gathered books and information on the professors requests and sent them over either through email or made copies for Mira to run down with. All and all it was fairly quiet. She had some night courses in history hoping she could use it to work in archives and research bloodlines. It had always it had always been something she enjoyed. Reading about a Marianne in the 1800th, what child she produced. Whom she married or what scandals the church had noted down in their big books. There was a couple in finance and psychology if only for attendance. You needed a certain amount of classes and those the only thing that actually interested her.
She'd seen The Dean formally with the company of a professor and he had introduced himself as it was the first time they met.
She played along. Thinking it was less embarrassing than actually acknowledged she had been turned on by him. It was slightly hurtful that she now was a complete stranger to him but it was for the best.
She had dreamt about him for a couple of nights. Dreams that would make you blush, they would probably make him blush.
She had bit her lip at the memory flashing through her head and for a split second she thought she could see him react to it while speaking to one of the professors in the hallway.
The dreams had stopped now and she killed time by reading old books and sending a few polite reminders out to the students about returning or renewing the books in their possessions.
She was brushing up on their history. Wolfs to be exact. One of the books she needed was not where it was supposed to be and when she checked their systems she had realised the Dean seemed to be doing what he wanted with the library books. He'd checked out a bunch of books without returning them.
She would have let it go but the thought of reminding him of the rules was actually really amusing.
She just needed to figure out a way to send it out without actually giving him the middle finger.
He played with her once and she had the opportunity to do the same.
She sat at the desk looking at laptop screen for a momets. Tapping her finger thoughtfuly on the desk.
"Important Reminder: Overdue Library Books
This is a final notice to all patrons who have registered books in their name that are currently overdue. To avoid any penalties, please take immediate action to either:
- Update the return date
- Return the book to the library
If a book has been lost or damaged beyond repair, kindly update its status to enable the library to update its inventory accordingly.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter."
She had signed it off with her name. She snickered as she press send, she was going to annoy all professor's and whatever other staff at the college but it was going to be worth it.
She logged off, turned of the lights and closed the library behind her. She had pickeythe time on purpose. She didn't want to be here when everyone was returning stacks of books or worse when The Dean sees the email and decides to visit.
She hadn't thought it through fully. She wanted to call him out in her childish way but also not sure what would she do if he challenge that. Or worse, not be bothered at all.
She had woken up alone in the woods in the middle of the night. She couldn't make sense of where she was or how she had gotten there. It was to dark to see and the trees so thick it covered the stars and the moon in the night sky. It had been quiet. Not even the wind or the birds was out.
Something was wrong and she had a bad feeling something horrible was lurking in the woods.
She tried to shift, using her wolf to easier navigate and scare off any potential predators. No matter how much she tried or begging the moon for strength it was met with silence. She had lost her wolf she realised. Her connection to any magic or nature had been severed. In panic she had started running. Trying to find a smell or noise. Anything to guide her home. Something was wrong with this place. Very wrong.
She had been running from her surroundings for a while when she finally saw moonlight coming down the trees further down. She had slowed her steps and walked carefully.
The closer she got she was able to make out the trees and a person, she closed in with caution. Was this a friend or something else?
Then she saw it. It was Ezra.
Thank the goddes
He stood as that first night leaning against a tree watching her as she got closer.
He tilted his head "it took you long enough".
"Something is wrong I can't feel my wolf, I can't shift. Something horrible is out here I can feel it. We need to get back"
She was pleading. Please don't let them die here.
Here walking up to her and held her head in his hands.
"Shh it's gonna be okay. The only ones here are me and you" he leaned is forehead on hers. "Okay?"
He wiped her cheek and she realised she had been crying. She took a deep breath. She was safe with him.
She nodded.
He was beautiful in the moonlight. Like he was in his element, his body was vibrating of strength, his skin was perfect and his muscles even better than she remembered. Through his white shirt she could make out tattoos, not uncommon for wolfs to have but she didn't recognise any of their symbols. They looked ancient and pure, Like they were important. He moved his hands down her waist and pulled her in.
He queezed and ran one hand up her back and to her neck, up her hair and tugged slightly. Forcing her to meet his eyes.
His eyes were full off fire and it was unlikelyhe would have self-control this.
He took a deep breath inhaling her scent. His lips was so close she could kiss him if he let her, but his hand and fingers firmly wrapped up in her hair wouldn't let him. He had complete control on how far they would take this. She trembled on the thought of him and her together. At this very minute she wanted nothing else. He tugged her hair again. Exposing her neck. She felt his warm breath and his teeth scraping gently against her neck.
Goosebumps was forming on her skin as she shivered at his touch.
"I could mark you now and you'd be mine forever" his voice was vibrating. She could feel his frustration.
She moved her hands to touch him, to push him over the edge like he had done to her.
He forced her head straight again, his eyes telling her to look into his. And she did. She saw his eyes shift when she reached him. With a quick tug he had let her know she wasn't allowed, not yet.
Not breaking eye contact he moved his free hand, sliding painfully slow towards her lower parts.
Teasing her, letting her know how good she would feel if he let her.
She let out a small moan.
He growled and pulled her hair again, exposing her neck
"Fuck it" and he went for her neck.
