Chapter 6 - CHAPTER-6 THE WILLOW GUY(3)

(FULL BOOK AVAILABLE IN AMAZON)The next day, Roslin returned to the willow tree, eagerly waiting for "Mr. Willow." As noon approached, she felt a mix of hope and disappointment when he didn't show up. She tried to shake off her feelings and helped Ferlin pack his bags to visit his mom in Nelblinxton as the golden days are going to start.

After few moons, she reminded Harold that the golden days were over and her father, Ferlin, would be coming home soon. Still, guilt tugged at her for not having seen him in seven nights.

"Dad!" Harold's voice broke her thoughts as he ran toward her.

"I missed you, my little pumpkin!" Ferlin embraced Harold tightly. As he set down his luggage, Roslin caught a glimpse of a familiar figure leaving—was it him? The golden hair, blue outfit.

"Dad, there's someone—"

"Oh, that's just a stranger who helped me with my bags. Look what I got you!" Ferlin pulled out a small trinket, but Roslin's mind was elsewhere, wondering if it's the willow guy.

The next day after class, she rushed to the willow tree again.

"There he is! Right in front of my eyes, under the willow! I can't believe this. Oh god, I've stared a bit to loo long. Now, he doesn't cut it off, He's watching me walk! Now I totally forgot how to walk. 'Will you carry me if I trip?' Why does he look like he misses me?"

They sat opposite each other, both engrossed in the same book without knowing.

Roslin arrived late to class the next, prompting Mr. Vladimir to raise an eyebrow. "Are you feeling okay, Roslin?"

She feigned illness, and he recommended some holy basil and honey. As she entered the classroom, Doris moved aside, saving her a seat.

"Nothing happened! Just discussing how wands are made as if we never heard that before," Doris told her. "Hey, want to stop by the flower shop after class? I need some tulip and lily seeds for my garden."

She craved friendship but this is the wrong time, "Okay".

"Okay," Doris replied with a smile.

After class, Roslin contemplated escaping but ultimately decided to go to the shop. While there, she mentioned her job at Crawdell Blenkqer.

"Omg, really?" Doris exclaimed. "But why don't people in Orckeez Bloom use magic as much as those from Northern Abbey?"

"Most folks here just learned magic in the last two winters. Many of us are from places like Welton, Trixtergner, and Mell Zween. People move here to start a new life, often escaping curses. We have strict rules about introducing new magic—kind of like a safety net."

Roslin was shocked. Her father had never mentioned any of this.

"I can't find cloves," Doris said, breaking the silence.

"There are a few stores around Crawdell. Check there if you need them," Roslin suggested.

Later, while walking near Crawdell, she saw the willow guy eating with friends. When he glanced her way, she quickly looked away as her heart racing. She turned to the other side to blush, then saw Doris coming towards her. Then she wanted to see him again, she slowly turned around.

He looked at her as if she stole something from him, and didn't move even if a guy beside him called him. She hesitated as she got caught.

"Bye!" Roslin called before darting off, feeling flustered.

Upon returning home, she confronted her father about the rules.

"Ah yes, I forgot to tell you," He replied sheepishly.

"Dad!" she scolded, "Now I can't even fly on my broom! Why didn't you tell me earlier? I hate you"

He soothed her with her favorite meals and read from her cherished book, Miarah: Spells and Tea, a tale people believe a witch from moon taught witchcraft to people on earth written by Gosstilina Mazster.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you! I applied for a job at Crawdell!"

Ferlin feigned disappointment, closing the book dramatically. "You didn't tell me? I hate you" he slammed the door just like she did.

Roslin laughed at his playful antics as he sounded just like her.

Cherry ran to Roslin.

"Hey cutie"

"Your brother and wold flew to the graveyard; I'm sure I heard them talking about Lincoln Sky which is a gravyard. I saw them flying there this morning, can you go check on them"

"Where is it again"

"Lincoln Sky"

Roslin flew to her brother.

She was in the graveyard. "Harold" she yelled.

She walked in and the gate was locked immediately. "Harold" she yelled without hesitation.

She can hear him responding, which comes that way when they were tied up and she walked to the tree and saw Harold and Wol drige tied to a tree, but their eyes were widened. She turned around to check, then a flying sorceress flying towards her attack Roslin.

"Expello Mystirio" the sorceress' fells from the broom as Roslin cast a spell on her.

"Welcome to Lincoln Sky, your place till you die" she laughed in an evil way.

"Well, let's see"

Roslin hit her on the face, the sorceress pushed her by cursing. Both got up, she cast a spell to make the dry maple leaves around her to levitate. Roslin's eyes were dusted, Then the sorcerers attack her. Roslin got up with her closed eyes stops the dust to float and rubbed them.

Roslin spelled multi curse on her. The sorcerers had no time to react, then the sorceress collapsed. Multi curse is not used by many and is a dangerous spell which she learned that from Melarrlnia.

Roslin went to release Harold and Wol Drige, she took them on her broom.

They remained silent, after Entering Orckeez Bloom they started cheering Roslin.

"Then she attacked her multiple times, and the sorcerers can't even attack you back" Wol drige told Harold as he was impressed.

"Even she put you in that dust you defended her" Harold covered his face

Roslin landed both and hit them on their heads.

"Aw" both put their arms around their head to protect themselves.

"Why did you go to the graveyard." Roslin twisted Harold's ear.

They remained silent.

"Harold told me to go into the graveyard if I don't like cherry. So, I went to prove that"

She laughed and started yelling at them. She felt bad and told them not to tell their parents and took them to the food court.

"Thank god I don't have a sister" he teased Harold.

"Roslin why do even witches kidnap little kids?"

"To make you their slaves and command you to do things"

"Like what?"

"You won't sleep once I told you"

"Then don't tell us" Both puffed, covering their ears.

They went home.

"Roslin, let's make the water flow into the pond!" he suggested, his spirits lifted.

"It's dinner time Harold, dinner first" she yelled.

"So" Harold explained his plan to Roslin.

Together, they called for Ferlin, who cast a spell, and the waterfall changed its flow to fill the pond.

"Now you have your own pond!" he cheered. Roslin and Harold raced to the water, their joy evident.

Ferlin's heart swelled with emotion as he watched them. "I miss you, Melarrlnia," he whispered, remembering the love he had lost.

The next morning, Roslin was annoyed as found Harold already in the pond. "Can't you make your own pond?".

"I hate bugs crawling into my room, so I made it near yours!" he laughed.

"I'll just hide your clothes, then!"

"Dad! She's hiding my clothes!" Harold cried, feigning distress.

"Come on, Harold. You sound like a little girl!" Ferlin chuckled, handing him some clothes.

On her way to class, Roslin spotted a blond guy and briefly thought it was him. She passed him nervously, telling herself not to look at him.

During class, she felt a pang of regret for not looking at him. Doris asked if she wanted to join her for lunch, but Roslin hesitated, wanting to keep searching for the willow guy.

"Are you busy today?" Doris probed.

"Oh, I'm just…" Roslin trailed off, wishing she could invite Doris to the food court.

"It's okay, we can go in the evening," Doris suggested.

"Sure," Roslin replied, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety.

When she reached the willow, their eyes met, and for a moment, everything around her faded. She had brought a lighthearted book titled If We Ever Were Muggles to share a laugh, hoping to break the romance tension.

As she read, a line caught her off guard, Kragg let me curse myself to laugh before you crack that jooke again' making her laugh out loud. She quickly realized he may listen and held her giggles. She wanted to check him as she couldn't find his shadow.

When she looked up, he was gone. Disappointed, she left for work, chanting "bracelet, bracelet" to remind herself to keep searching.

At work, Cherry mentioned Roslin's recent hire to someone, "Who is she talking to?" she turned to see who it was, prompting her to glance at the willow guy. He locked eyes with her, he nodded to cherry and walked as if he never seen her. Instead of feeling shy, she felt a surge of determination. "Will he think I'm here because I saw him enter the store the other day?" she wondered, feeling anxious.

As the days passed, their silent exchanges became a comforting routine.

Finally, the day arrived when the seven witch sisters would perform their dance in Orckeez Bloom. Excitement buzzed in the air as the townsfolk gathered to witness the spectacle.

The witches were restricted by the town's president, agreed to perform only three rounds. They danced and sang, captivating everyone with their rituals.

They performed a romantic dance as if love made them dance. Everyone couldn't stop smiling while watching it so did Roslin, she took a brief look around and saw him smiling. "Did he see me smile, or is he just smiling at the performance?" Roslin thought, blushing as she caught him smiling in her direction. Her heart skipped a million beats.

After the show, the president invited local girls to dance the next day, leading to more excitement.

Roslin was eager to return to the willow, she took a new book that she couldn't easily burst into laughter, she kept changing genres till she remained silent. "Witch Kill" a classic thriller tale by Wizzlia Witchard. She saw his shadow walking towards the willow.

She always stares at the shadow and sees the pages turning, running his fingers through his golden hair. This time the shadow wasn't there and checked him as he wasn't there, she got up. Frustrated, she headed to work.

As she was walking to Crawdell, Harold called her from the food court but instead of him, she saw the willow guy, hesitatingly she searched for Harold and went to him. She kept eating without looking anywhere.

While Harold was ordering, she saw the willow guy in the reflection on the mirror in front of her and stared at him while he was eating. He noticed her and looked away to drink water and checked if she was still looking at her and she never took her eyes off him. So, he served her back. Roslin couldn't handle the tension and talked to Harold for a while and kept checking him multiple times, he caught her every time. Then she saw him leaving for work and she rushed too.

Cherry saw Roslin walking to her and asked if she wants to help sealing few packs as there were many orders from a Novearr Wizardry School.

She felt like working and followed her, as she went in, she regrated her decision right away by looking at her heart stabber who came to do the same work.

He and she both struck in the movement as they must work alone.

Both stood opposite each other, and for every single pack boxing they locked eyes and worked in a sync.

She caught his gaze once more. Each silent exchange deepened her curiosity about him and their unspoken connection. As they worked too close to each other, the tension hung in the air, and Roslin wondered if he felt the same way.

Everything was done, she stood as if she wanted to talk and he walked away.

She walked to inform cherry that she was done with the work but saw him informing her already and sat on stairs there waiting for cherry.(FULL BOOK AVAILABLE IN AMAZON)
