Grimrose's eyes fluttered open, and the anticipation of the test propelled him forward. As he arrived at the designated site, a breathtaking panorama unfolded before him—a sea of a thousand faces, each a unique story etched in flesh and bone.
A silent observation played in his mind, a mix of awe and ruthless calculation. "Wow... so many people," he mused inwardly, his gaze sweeping across the multitude. "Too bad only 180 can savor the sweet taste of victory." The brutal arithmetic of the selection process played out in his head: a mere five elite classes, the coveted 'S' class, each a sanctuary for only twenty exceptional students. Then, a tiered pyramid descending from grace—classes 'A' through 'D,' each a haven for forty souls, a rung below the pinnacle of academic prowess.

Grimrose was engrossed in contemplation when, without warning, four girls surged toward him, their eyes shimmering with fervent admiration.
"Hello!" they exclaimed in unison as he pivoted to face them.
"Hello," Grimrose responded, bestowing a cordial smile. "I'm Grimrose, a pleasure to meet you all."
Unbeknownst to Grimrose, every girl in the testing site was observing him, their eyes gleaming with infatuation, while the guys simmered with envy.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" one of them inquired.
"Yes, and she's exquisite," Grimrose replied, playfully teasing them. "But I'm a prince, you know. I could potentially marry more than one, so what do you say?" he proposed with a broad smile.
The girls were astonished to learn of his princely status but elated that he presented them with an opportunity. "Yes," a girl with roseate hair and azure eyes affirmed.
"Hmm?"
"I would be honored to, Prince Grimrose," the girl declared with endearing charm.
"Oh?" Grimrose was taken aback that someone recognized him. "How do you know me? I've never ventured beyond the palace walls." He was intrigued because their domain was heavily guarded.
"Because my sister is an archmage."
"Ah, you mean Archmage Marina, the Crimson Witch?"
"Yes, I'm her younger sister, Yuni. It's a pleasure to meet you, Prince," Yuni uttered, gazing at him adoringly.
Grimrose was about to say something when he heard
"Cough, cough, be quiet, the headmistress is here," the professor said as a woman with black hair, blue eyes, beautiful as Grimrose, who has A+ charm
"Hello students who wish to join slayer academy the best academy of the world" said Headmistress Susan, her voice echoing across the grand hall. Slayer Academy, renowned as the best among the five academies in the world, held a prestige unmatched by its rivals.
It stood far above the Martial Academy, which, despite producing outstanding martial students, was considered the weakest. Then there was the Magic Academy, prideful and unwilling to scout beyond noble families, placing them as the second weakest. The Hunter Academy ranked third, known for its exceptional hunters. Even the Royal and Light Academy, representing the main empire and holding the position of second strongest, couldn't compare to Slayer Academy, a testament to the power of Headmistress Susan and the three other supremes who resided within its walls.
Susan announced that the test would be a comprehensive competition in virtual reality.
This announcement was quite a revelation, similar to discovering your grandmother has ninja-like skills... who also happens to be a demon.
She also commented on our perceived deficiencies, which, in all honesty, are legendary... legendary in their awfulness.
However, she stated that it signifies we have "significant potential for growth."
This translates to: We are abysmally inadequate, but perhaps we can improve marginally... or become suitable sacrifices.
"Students should proceed to the VR setup, as we will commence in 30 minutes; remember, only 180 participants can advance," Susan stated with a laugh. *Evil Laugh*
The laugh resonated suspiciously like a Bond villain devising a scheme... a scheme involving puppies and taxes.
Good luck; you will require it... to survive.
Susan then declared, "Ah right, there are 2 princes and 3 princesses here, so whoever can eliminate them gets extra points." *She cackled maniacally.*
She added that "points are like money here, so go for it," as the test was about to begin... *May the odds be ever in your favor, muahaha.*
