"A complete nuisance, I don't understand why we have to do this. Why do we have to go to a damn village for a kid?" A young woman with short, bluish hair fell silent as she struggled with all her strength to sit on the ground, trying to rest a little... "So dirty..." she thought to herself as she looked at the earth and the scattered leaves all around.
"It's not just any village, remember that from that damn village you're talking about came the Saint of Light, a little more respect." A young woman who appeared to be around 20 years old, with long golden hair and golden eyes, spoke with a furrowed brow. She casually directed her attention to the sword in her right hand. A flash of light spread throughout the place, and the darkness of the forest quickly retreated like a frightened animal, with inhuman groans of pain echoing... She sighed: "I hate this forest. The curse hasn't disappeared over the years... it's even grown stronger than before."
"The only good thing is the large amount of mana in the place, but the bad thing is that it's corrupted." A young man with blood-red hair laughed heartily and let out a small chuckle. In his hand, he had a strange, completely black creature. He looked at it amused: "A corrupted being tried to attack me from behind, poor fool! But... it's quite curious." "Quite sinister." The young man with red hair also stopped joking, and his expression turned solemn. He slowly drew a reddish sword.
"It disappeared." The young woman with bluish hair lowered the wand in her hands, sighed, but never let her guard down. She stayed silent for a few moments, took out a bright white crystal, placing it in the palms of her hands and closing her eyes...

The crystal in her hands shattered into a thousand pieces. The crystal fragments spread throughout the place, rising into the air, forming a circle of light. In the center of this circle appeared a repulsive mana, and behind the mana appeared a vague image. It couldn't be distinguished, but it was small, like a child.
"Demon..." The young woman with golden hair said coldly. What her companion had just done was a method to identify demons created by the higher-ups of the church. This method isn't entirely perfect, but it's the best they have for now. Additionally, with the confirmation from high-purity crystals and the prayer to the goddess, there's no room for doubt... The reason it's not perfect is because high-ranking demons have the ability to manipulate their souls to the point of creating a false human soul, or in other words, an uncorrupted soul, which makes this method a bit more difficult to detect them. Another problem is the limited presence the goddess has in the real world and the terrible amount of presence the demons have been gaining over the years.
"It's not a high-ranking demon, judging by the corrupted mana, it must be rank C." The young man with red hair looked around, observed the ritual confirmation, and deduced the demon's rank. His eyes glowed dangerously: "It's very close to the village, that's a big problem to consider, assuming that thing knows about the existence of free sacrifices..." The young man looked at his companions with a smile: "Let's hunt it!"
"First, we need to report to the headquarters." The young woman with golden hair knelt down, suddenly pulling out a bright white paper. She carefully looked at it, and a pen appeared in her hand. After a few moments, she stood up again: "Let's do it," she said with a serious voice.
"I didn't expect this, but I guess we don't have much choice." The young woman with bluish hair nodded.
"Well, this got interesting!" The young man with red hair shouted excitedly. His eyes gleamed, and his pupils became vertical. Red flames surrounded his body...

The Forest of Silent Void resonated with a loud explosion. Several meters around were consumed by red flames. The young man with red hair transformed completely. A red fur covered his entire body. This young man had just turned into a wolf nearly 5 meters tall. Moving his nose, his expression became fierce as he turned his head, slowly opening his mouth, which was filled with sharp fangs. He looked like a predator at the creature 100 meters away from him...
The vague image of the child was distorted. Now, only a completely different creature remained. It had limbs as long as its body, was extremely thin, and around its body was a pale gray fur. Its head, on the other hand, was larger than its body. It had an empty look in its completely black eyes. On top of its head were two pairs of coiled black horns.
A thin layer of black flames slowly rose around its body. The demon stood still for a few moments. Its expression changed slightly, and a terrifying smile appeared: "Did you notice me?" Its voice was that of a small child, extremely childish, as if it were curiously asking an adult.
"Destruction Type C." The young woman with golden hair slowly drew her sword. The blade was gradually covered by a bright white flame.
"Class C-5 demon, one step away from being class B." The young woman with bluish hair said somberly.
"Pretty horrible." The beastly voice of the wolf said as it slowly approached the demon...
The demon, alarmed, crouched down, slowly opened its hands, and black flames shaped into a black sword...
"Let's go!" The red wolf charged like a beast toward the demon.
"Hehehe, fun." The demon laughed childishly... raising the sword, it generated a large amount of black fire: "I'll eat all of you!" it shouted with a hoarse voice, as blood-red fire and pure white fire filled the area around it.
