He wasn't extremely impressed with this system since it had so little information
That was, of course, until he saw what happened next.
A new box of text popped up. This one had words.
------------------------------------------
Welcome User!
My name is Slinky!
I am your personal reincarnation assistant specifically designed to assist you in developing your strength and power level here on Endura.
------------------------------------------
Asher was, shocked. He had never imagined that the system was talking to him. The unknown being didn't mention anything about it to him, so he wasn't expecting it at all.
He figured since it talked to him, why couldn't he talk back to it?
"Uh, Explain what the reincarnation system can do for me Slinky."
------------------------------------------
Of course!
The reincarnation system, designed to help reincarnates develop their skills, has three main functions.
Divine Blessings - Each reincarnate has one blessing that is typically powers granted to the user from their divine entity. These entities are called Guardians. Your Guardian does not currently wish for their title to be revealed to you. This also means you do not have access to any of their divine blessings.
Tokens/Shop - Tokens are the currency of the reincarnation system. You can earn them by defeating monsters, satisfying the guardians, or growing stronger. The shop is a system that allows reincarnates to increase physical abilities, skill rankings/proficiency, or to buy items.
Skill Augmentations - Skill Augmentations are rewards from completing the quests of guardians. These can be increases to current skills, new skills, or new attributes
------------------------------------------
Hmmm. Asher was in a newborn's body and made angry expressions that could only be described as "cute". He got increasingly furious with his guardian for not revealing their title to him as it would help him develop faster. Isn't that exactly what the guardian wants for their reincarnate to do?
"Hey Slinky, why does my guardian not want to reveal their title to me?"
------------------------------------------
My apologies user,
I am unable to see into the thoughts of divine entities. I can assume that as you are in a newborns body, it would be unwise to grant you all of the abilities of your divine blessing. These are typically very useful and high ranking powers that your body most likely wont be able to handle. Please do not think of it as your guardian not wanting to assist you.
------------------------------------------
Before Asher could have any more thoughts about this, he yawned. He didn't realize how short babies stay awake and go back to sleep. Immediately, a wave of drowsiness hit him and he fell into a deep slumber.
[Five Days Later]
Asher, who had slept for most of his time in his world, had discovered a lot of new information.
First of all, the two people, who he had assumed to be his parents, were in fact, his parents.
His new mother was called Sophia. Over the past few days, he noticed that she was extremely overprotective. Aside from at night, she kept a close watch on him at nearly all times. She was a stay-at-home mom, the worst kind of mother for a reincarnated child who wanted to learn and explore.
His father on the other hand, was a knight for the Lionheart Duchy. He went out from dawn to dusk and always arrived home late. He was extremely dedicated to training and was a righteous and noble man.
They lived on the outskirts of the main village and his house was modest for what his father earned. They had a small house with two bedrooms, a small dinning table, and a living room with a fireplace. The exterior included a small front yard and a fence along the outskirts.
Second, there were five main kingdoms on the continent.
Valmont Kingdom
Cambridge Kingdom
Holy Empire
Arcanum Kingdom
Silverheim Empire
Asher was currently in the Valmont Kingdom, the royal capital being Leinburg.
Asher overheard his parents discussing a place called the farlands. He couldn't exactly hear what they were talking through his cradle but he learnt it was filled with extremely powerful monsters and it bordered the Cambridge Kingdom and the Silverheim Empire.
Using his appraisal, he discovered the abilities that his parents had.
His mother, had a healing and an nature controlling skill.
His father on the other hand had three skills. These were Aura Manipulation, Magical Slice, and Harden.
Another thing that he learnt was that a second skill is acquired when a person turns fifteen and other skills can be gained through combat or important achievements.
With his overprotective mother, he had no room to use his skills but a certain one had been progressing quite nicely.
Asher learnt that others cant see your status window unless you allow them too. Unless someone had an appraisal or viewing skill. He predicted that once he was able to talk his parents would want to see his status window. He had the concealment skill to thank for when that happened.
Asher thought to himself "Status"
----------------------------------------
Innate Skills
Combat/Passive | Weakling [Common-] - The user is extremely frail and weak. This skill evolves extremely fast. (Proficiency : 1.5%)
Passive | Genius [Master] - Allows the user to learn and grow at an extraordinary fast pace. (Proficiency : 1%)
Usage | Appraisal [Common+] - Allows the user to get a basic explanation of anything. (Proficiency : 6%)
Usage | Concealment [Master+] - Allows the user to be immune to appraisal skills and hide things. (Proficiency : 0.00%)
----------------------------------------
For only five days of minimal effort, Asher was impressed with himself. He had managed to increase the proficiency of three of his skills in such a short time!
If only he knew the challenges he would face in time.
----------------------------------------
In a fancy and luxurious room, high up in a castle, a baby's cries could be heard.
The newborn child of the Lionheart family was named Daisy.
This child, had one brown eye, and one purple eye.
Just as Asher's parents had panicked, so did Erik and Sasha Lionheart.
A different doctor this time, told them the same information. "Its probably nothing, don't worry about it, potentially beneficial, blah blah blah"
This was, of course, no ordinary child.
Although, child might not be the best word to describe this person.
