After our session ended we headed to the dining room to have lunch mother had made while we were focused on the training and later the sparring session.
The lunch was grilled cheese sandwiches filled with yesterdays leftover meat served with freshly pressed juice made frome fruits and berries picked from the garden.
"So how did it go my little ones?" Mother asked as we sat down around the table.
Lilly was already wolfing down the sandwich as if it had been days since she last ate.
"Triss! No one is going to take the food off of you." Mother said with a gleeful tone.
"Soffy movver, I am jost fo homfgy." Lilly said with humer mouth stuffed full of food.
"Please finish chewing before speaking." Mother then shifted her focus on me and saw that I seemed to be deep in thought. "So Bellz? How was the training for you?"
I didn't register what she said, my only thought was on how the voice had come back during the training. Even though I had told myself I was going to ignore it. It was still really hard let it go, I just didn't know what to do about it completely. And when the voice came back next time I was afraid if things was going to escalate into how things had been in my former life.
What if the voice started to convince me of the things it would say was true? I didn't want that. Even if I would ignore it, it would still affect me...
"Bellz?"
I had to find a solution. So far the voice hadn't done anything, but you never know what could happen.
"Bellz!"
I snapped out of my thoughts and saw that everyone at the table was now looking at me.
"Yes mother?"
She search my gaze for signs that everything was okay before she said. "I asked you how the training went?"
"Oh! Well, it went okay I guess. I liked it and I want to continue training."
"That's good to hear dear. All though..." She looked down at my left hand were the snowflake pattern was. I hadn't noticed it yet but the coloration of the snowflake had become more clear. "Did something special happen during the training?" She asked me.
I felt a small panic creep up on me. I didn't want to tell them about the voice yet, and the look my mother gave me told me that she had felt something off about me. But then I remembered something...
"Well, during the training... something weird happened." She lifted one of her eyebrow giving her a questioning look. "I suddenly felt a warm feeling deep inside me that gave me the feeling I could keep training for a very long time. I even felt a little bit stronger."
Both my mother and fathers faces shone up like the sun. And Rachel gave a very surprised but proud look. "Bellz! Just like Lilly had instinctively been using her magic before we thought her anything you just did the same!"
"What? I used magic?"
"What you used is a little more advanced basic spell called 'inner heat'. It converts your magic to energy and gives you a boost in both stamina and strength for as long as you have a supply of magic essence. I won't explain more then that, but know that it is a good sign that your instinctive spell is one of the better ones." Mother explained with her nose held high with a proud expression.
"Instinctive spell?" Maxime asked his mother who responded by stroking behind his fluffy fox ears and explaining to him that instinctive spells was something that some races closely bound to magic developed at a young age. He then asked if Beastkin could develop instinctive spells.
"Well..." She thought for a bit before answering. "Yes and no. If you have a alot of magic inside you at a young age some none magically bound races can develop them. But of course there are some races that has no connection to magic what so ever."
"So what about Foxkin?"
"Us foxkin belong to the Caninekin. Wolfkin Dogkin Foxkin and a few more belong to this group, and lucky for you my little fluff ball of energy. Caninekin does have a connection to magic and Foxkin has the strongest of all Caninekin, well...we can't really compare to Dromos. But we are still not one of the weakest when it comes to magic."
Maxime started to shake from excitement the more Rachel explained to him. "So does that mean I can get instinctive spells?"
Rachel just smiled and said. "Only time will tell."
I shifted my focus to mother who seemed very happy of the news. "So what exactly is instinctive spells?" I asked her.
She thought for a bit and then said. "I think it will be fine to go over that with you. But we will have to do it tomorrow, Triss sent me a massage this morning."
Father looked over to mother and asked. "Did she find something out?"
Mother gave a nod. "Yes, she said she would be arriving after lunch to go over her discovery."
So no more training for me after lunch it seemed.
-----
After lunch had taken a bath to wash of the sweat and grime that had built up from the morning exercise. After I had cleaned myself and changed my clothes, we gathered in the library. There I found everyone, even Lilly and Maxime seemed to have decided that this was more important than continue their little feud.
I sat down between mother and Lilly on a sofa that was placed in the library.
Library itself wasn't that big in size when it came to floor space. What was impressive though was the hight of this room. It was a circular room with two exits, one that led to the dining room and the other out into the hallway entrance.
The walls was covered in bookshelves and streched up four floors tall. Ladders covered the sides of the bookshelfs to help you climb and reach what you were looking for.
I had been trying to learn the alphabet of this world in hope of starting to read more books and learn about the world. But it had been a tough slow process.
"Hello Bellz!" Triss the dark elf priestess stood behind a table as I sat down. She gave me a smile before turning more serious. "I don't really know were to begin."
"To start with Triss, can you tell me one thing." Mother's eye's darkened and the temperature in the room started to slowly rise. "Is Bellz life in danger."
"Magdala! Control yourself!" Rachel called out as the danger if anything in this room caught fire was something no one wanted to experience.
"Sorry Rachel." Mother took a deep breath as the rooms temperature returned to normal.
After mother had calmed down Triss started her explanation. "I tested Bellz blood in my ways, and I discovered one thing that I think we both had a suspicion of Magdala."
"He has two magic cores..." Mother said before Triss could explain.
"Yes...and what doesn't make sense is that he is still alive..." Silence fell over the library. "Usually when someone is born with two magic cores they die within a few days. But Bellz..."
I felt my mother pull me closer as she hugged me tightly. I also felt Lilly grab my hand and squeezed it hard enough that it almost started to hurt.
"Yarklan syndrom..." Rachel said as she look at me worryingly.
"Yarklan?" I asked as I looked for answers.
"Yarklan, the god of chaos and change, youngest son to Verman and Descra. The disease is named after him as having two cores that creates magic essence in the blood creates an imbalance in the body." Triss explained before taking out a vail filled with my blood and continued emher explanation. "But when I tested that theory and looked for this imbalance I found something else. Bellz does not have Yarklan syndrom, I am not even sure he has two cores. I think...he has two souls."
"""""What!""""" Everyone in the room said at the same time.
"What do you mean two souls?" Father asked.
"I haven't confirmed anything yet, it is just a hypothesis I have. And I think we won't find our answer until the day Bellz get his first disc."
"So what do we do until then?" Mother asked, her voice slightly shaking from worry.
"Just observe any weird changes or incidents that happens until then."
I was about to tell them about the voice in my head when I stopped myself. I was certain it wwas unrelated so I decided to keep it to myself.
"Please don't die Bellz!" Lilly suddenly said as she hugged me tightly and started to cry. "You are the best little brother and I don't want to lose you!"
Her tears tore at my heart. I felt so hopeless not knowing what to do.
We then had dinner with Rachel, Maxime and Triss. The atmosphere was tense, but Maxime seemed to do his best att keeping the mood light and even got Lilly to laugh a few times as he provoced her to arguing and then giving yp when he lost the arguments which made her laugh.
After dinner Triss Rachel and Maxime headed back home to Oakhill while I returned to my room.
I was sitting at the desk studying the alphabet with the help of the kids books before I was going to go to sleep when I heard a knock on the door. Lilly came in and walked over to my bed in silence.
"Lilly?"
"Can I sleep in here tonight?" She said in a low tone. It seemed she still was afraid of losing me. I thought for a bit before I agreed to it.
She held my hand until she fell asleep and soon after I drifted off to sleep too.

(Lilly pov)
Sometimes it felt as if Bellz was the older one between us. He was smarter then he gave himself credit for.
I would do anything to protect him, he is my adorable little brother and I don't know what I would do if I lost him.
I was laying in his bed sleeping when I felt him getting out of bed. I slowly opened my eyes and saw him standing by the desk looking over the kids books he had been trying to read the last couple of months.
The moonlight up the room and casted a blue mystical light over the room.
I sat up rubbed my eyes and looked at my borther. "Bellz?" He...no she turned around...a girl at the age around Bellz and I stood there looking at me. She had blue skin long black blueish hair and bright blue eyes.
She smiled at me and said "Hello."
