"What?" I snapped before I could help myself.
All eyes turned to me in confusion. Rosa rolled her eyes at me, and Luca's face was hard as he stared down at his meal.
I was about to argue when I caught sight of a familiar figure moving in the background. Trevor. He had a warning glint in his eyes as he stared at me before walking away.
My heart skipped a beat, and it was my own turn to cough repeatedly. Luca carelessly passed me a glass of water, and a part of it spilt on my dress.
"Oh, don't be silly, dear. I don't mean that we'll watch you in the act. Intimacy isn't just in the act of passion alone, after all. It's in how you relate with each other as a couple," Mateo added, seeing the horrified expression on my face, but I didn't see how that helped. "We should have come immediately after your wedding but we were all so busy."
I wished they would all remain busy. That meant I would be monitored daily by the whole Castillo family for THREE DAYS!
Alonso looked like he would kill me at the slightest slipup, and Rosa looked like she would gladly suffocate me in my sleep with a pillow. I made a mental note to ensure my bedroom was always locked.
What sort of silly family tradition was this?
"It's just a tradition, dear. I'm sure you won't even know that we're here when you're both wrapped up in your love for each other."
Luca let out a small cough as well. I could almost laugh at the expression on his face if we weren't in the same situation.
"Alright, uncle." He interjected. "Now, shall we just face our food?"
His father had a sly smile on his face as he watched him eat his meal, obviously tensed.
Breakfast was eaten in silence after the terrible information. I couldn't wait to go back to my room but as I began to head up the stairs, Amelia held me back.
"Oh, sister-in-law, we have so much to catch up on. I want to get to know you and see if we have a lot in common. You might even be my—"
"Amelia!" Alonsi growled in annoyance. "Will you get back here and leave the couple to love on each other?" He snapped. The ice in his tone was unmissable.
Wasn't he aware that our marriage was based on anything but love?
Luca stared at me and then back at his father. "My wife is tired and would like to get back to bed now, father. Besides, I believe we both have a lot to discuss about my position in the clan."
Alonso's face darkened. "We are not here to discuss anything, son. I'm here to watch you and your pretty wife here." He stated, grabbing a glass of wine with a cruel smirk on his face. "You might want to follow her to the bedroom and have some fun, or you can both stay here and imagine that we are all not here."
Luca's jaws ticked. He looked more annoyed than ever. "I doubt it'll be easy to pretend that you're not here with an ego as large as yours."
Alonso's eyes darkened. "Well then, have fun in the bedroom, then. I'll be expecting the cries of my grandchildren soon." He stated, his smirk widening before walking away. "Maybe then, we can talk about anything."
I stood transfixed at the bottom of the stairs, not knowing what to do. Luca headed over to me, his eyes darkened with annoyance. "Let's go and rest, darling." His tone lacked the warmth to go with his words.
I couldn't be more enthusiastic to leave anyway. We got to my room but he stopped me from going in.
"You'll be staying in my room for the next two days. We can't have them wondering if something is wrong now, would we?" He looked distressed by my presence.
I sighed. "Sure."
A gasp escaped my lips as I stepped into his room. The luxury, the beauty, the finesse was beyond anything I could describe.
It did have the dark theme to it, but it was still classy. His bed was much wider than mine and draped with classy, dark bedsheets and duvets. Everything about his room was so dark that even though the lights were on, the room still looked dark.
"You are only allowed to stay on the bed and use the bathroom," he ordered, peeling off his suit. I couldn't believe he really chose to wear a suit to breakfast just because of his family. But then again, when had he not worn a suit?
"And my clothes?" I asked, pulling my hair out of the bun it was in so it cascaded down my shoulders.
"I'll have someone bring it up," he snapped. "I'll be in my office. Don't talk to me except I talk to you. Don't dare go nosing around or you'll regret it. And keep your hands to yourself!"
With that, he walked out through another door in the room which I was guessed led to his office.
I sighed, collapsing on the bed. It was so soft and had a bounciness. I had barely shut my eyes when a knock came to the door. I rolled my eyes, turning over. Whoever it was could leave when they were ready. As for me, I was so tired.
Spending the night snooping around and then having Luca on the same bed as me had drained me last night.
The knock came, even harder, making me let out a loud groan. Who the hell was that who couldn't take a hint?
"Who's it?" I called, trudging over to the door tiredly.
There was no response so I slowly opened it and was shocked to see Rosa standing there. What shocked me was not her presence but what she was wearing. Her robe which stopped barely above her thigh was opened to reveal a completely open and provoking lingerie.
She didn't look too pleased to see me. A scoffed escaped her lips and she tied the ropes of her robe into a knot. "So you even sleep in his room. Is this real or you're just trying so hard to fake your relationship?"
She let out a laughter that sounded like an evil cackle and shoved me aside, walking into the room and shutting the door.
"Hey. What are you doing in here? Get out!" I snapped at her, pulling her so harshly that she spun in shock.
She turned red in the face raised her hands to slap me. "You whore. Who do you think you are to stop me from seeing my love–"
"What is going on here?" Luca's voice interrupted suddenly.
