Chapter 10 - Chapter 3: part 2

In west Tokyo City, me and the kids were gathered in front of the Eishu juvenile detention center. "Explain why were here again?" I asked Ijichi, who was apparently a manager at Jujutsu High and was essentially our little guide to the jujutsu world. "Were here because a cursed womb was seen in the area of the detention center. Seeing as Gojo is a way, you guys were called" said Ijichi.

"It's possible it might bloom into a special grade curse, so we have to be careful" said Ijichi. "Um excuse me, what's a special grade?" asked Yuji, and I was curious as well to what it meant. "You don't know, what has that guy been teaching you?" asked Ijichi in exasperation as he seemingly pulled a board from nowhere to explain the essential basics of curse scaling.

The scaling seemed wild, as special grades themselves might be affected by carpeting explosives like cluster bombs, and 4th grade could be taken care of by a wooden bat. I am sensing a discrepancy here. Sorcerers of an inappropriate grade were assigned to a grade where there might be a potential special grade in the mix, yep this reeks of a set up.

"As its a special grade, there is one thing you need to know" said Ijichi. We waited with baited breath for him to continue. "Your objective for this mission is not to fight the special grade, but to look for survivors. If you encounter it, run or die, thats your only options" he said as a concerned women came up to the tape seperating the area.

"Tadashi! Is my son Tadashi okay?!" she asked us. I could see a shadow overcome Itadori's eyes. I could guess what he was thinking, thoughts of probably promising to save her son from the curse were echoing in his mind. 'I wonder if this is a Shounen type world?' I thought to myself. I could see an essence of conviction within him.

"Well save your son, if we can" he said to her, which seemed to calm her down. I could feel Megumi's stare at this scene, vague thoughts crossing his mind. "Thank you" she uttered with a sigh as she left the area and Ijichi began to lower the curtain around the detention center.

"Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness, purify that which is impure" he finished as an ink like substance seemed to surround the space, converting the once shining daylight into the night. It was a nice piece of magic to look at, and it was very practical to for a profession of exorcism. Apparently, it turned the area into night so curses will emerge which makes it easier.

"Fushiguro, Kugisaki, Evans, we have to save them" said Itadori as we began to enter the building. The building wasn't impressive, it was composed of cinder blocks and support beams and the building wasn't too dirty nor was it too clean. Whatever you thought of when thinking of a detention center, this place matched up.

It was only a few minutes when we arrived in another room did we sense that something was wrong. Fushiguro made a hand sign and summoned two dogs from his shadows. One was white and the other hand black fur. Divine dogs is what Megumi called them and they looked really cute for offensive shikigami.

"Stay alert, it appears we are in a domain" said Megumi as I was confused on what that meant. "Can you explain it to me?" I asked him as he began an explanation, with a tone that indicated he was tired of this. After the brief yet full information I could roughly guessed how screwed we are.

"Okay, lets go-" started Megumi but he was seamlessly interrupted by Yuji. "Kugisaki is gone!" he shouted as we looked around. As we were wondering what was going on, I noticed a hole form below me, and realizing it, I decided to up my protection. "Guys, it seems we are being separated so be careful!" I shouted as I fell through the hole to God knows where.

I could see I was in a confined space and the height which I was falling could be fatal. I could just tank it due to certain possibilities, but lets use logical thinking here and cushion my fall itself. I immediately conjured water to surround me as I landed on the ground, the conjured water breaking my fall.

As I got up, I kept the water around me as a magical barrier, using another incantation to add the defensive properties to the water. I was in a dank hallway and there seemed to be some water here, yet it was filthy. As I looked around, I noticed something on the ceiling. It was something that was inhumane, something that was obvious at first glance.

It was grotesque, a word that still undersold how disgusting it looked like. Its body was lizard like with human appendages for hands and feet. Its head seemed to be a mix of a lizard and fish, mashing them together like a sculpture made by an amateur out of modeling clay. It had spinal protrusions from its back and it had long hair that was thin.

"Water....dirty....air needed" it muttered on the ceiling, still not having noticed me. Its cursed energy, I couldn't sense it very well and seeing an opportunity to try out some basic jujutsu, I began the creation of cursed energy. The source within me churned out some energy, a huge amount of it that it seemed to gather around me in a haze.

I then noticed something new about it. I could feel things, I could see what made up their composition and I felt the very concepts intertwined into their existence. It was something I could innately sense and I felt something else within it, and enjoyment began to well up within me as I felt the oppurtunity before me was something I wanted to gladly take advantage of.

The cursed spirit then seemed to notice me. "Air....Without....breath" it seemingly whispered as it jumped from the ceiling onto the floor. Its tongue was hanging outside its mouth as if it was a tassel. It seemed to stare at me for a brief moment before his tongue moved with speed and lashed at the barrier. It stood sturdy and was without cracks.

I however, wanted to test my ability, my innate technique. I dismissed the barrier as a rush of information flowed into my head. The makeup of the world, and the concepts intertwined into their existence. It was all laid bare before me. I dodged another attack, one that gouged out a piece of the floor.

As I landed, I placed my hand on the floor and I uttered a singular word "Impale". The area I touched begins to shake and the area morphs in sharp tendrils and began to chase after the curse. A concept imbued upon it was Pierce and Follow. I noticed a significant dip in cursed energy, and I found the trade off. 'So it uses a lot of cursed energy, noted' I thought as I began to recover my stores plus some. It really made me thankful for whatever gift I had.

"Air....I need!" it shouted as I felt a suction force in the area. The air seemed to thin at an alarming rate and it was then I realized its true power. It made me think about how he spoke and how he wanted 'Air'. It was then I made out an area ahead. It was something akin to a septic tank with grey water existing there. In the pool of water seemed to be drown corpses of various takes.

'So a vengeful spirit composed of those who lost their lives through drowning, but how?' I thought as I began to have an even more negative view of this place. However, I had to focus on survival as I activated my magic to create a sphere of breathable air around me to survive the thinning of air around me.

'I need to kill it, but how?' I thought to myself as I had a thought strike me. Since my cursed technique allowed me to change the form and properties and concept of an object, why not create a weapon to destroy the curse and imbue some magical properties into it. The idea seemed good in my mind and I decided to carry it out so I could also try to get some combat practice in. I never wielded a sword before but what better time to learn. Besides, I do have proper protection for this foolishness.

Seeing the plan laid out in my mind, I touched the ground beneath me as my cursed energy began to surge into it as the ground seemingly became liquid as I pulled something from the cinderblocks. The handle was simple and so was the hand guard. But the blade itself, was something elegant and beautiful, and the hamon patterns were striking.

Heres a thought, why not use Mugen? Well, I felt like if I unsheathed it, serious destruction would follow, so let sleeping dragons lay.

The concepts imbued into the sword was channeling, absorption, piercing, slicing, and durability. The sword was made to be the ultimate weapon, atleast a very good one forged through methods untraditional. It was quite striking, and the cursed spirit seemed to stop and admire, before it lashed out with its tongue.

Coating the sword in magical power, igniting it in flames, I struck the tongue with slight jittering, but it came of with a jagged and unclean cut. "KREEEE!" it shouted as its tongue turned to dust. It tried to regenerate its toung but the flames were preventing the regeneration. 'Note, magic works' I thought as I rushed forward, enhancing my ability through magic.

As I got close, the being lashed out with its own gangly limbs and it impacted my side, throwing me into a wall, but I was unhurt beside some soreness. I rose from the rubble, the sword still in my hand. It hadn't retained any damage which was good, it meant my idea and planning was working good.

I dashed forward and was able to slice of its tail and one of its legs. Its screams seemed to echo into the air. A trail of embers followed my blade, as if it were an extra effect plugged into an items code. Let's be honest, it probably was done intentionally. I ran forward, and its newly regenerated tongue, the flames dying down, began to lash all round me, cutting scratched and gouging the walls for all their worth.

I dodged the attacks as best as I could, and some attacks landed shots to my body which left me in the wall again. 'I swear, might as well leave me here' I thought as I got and slashed at the cursed spirit again and again, making sure his tongue would not regenerate a second time. It layed there, its bodies in pieces and its wounds cauterized.

It twitched and splotches of purple blood marked the walls en masse. It was quite a scene, one that would be deemed fitting for a haunted house, or even a horror movie if that was your thing. It squirmed and screamed, it looked quite nauseating on the floor and its screams were hurting my hears.

I swung my sword as his head dropped from its shoulders, leaving a trail of blood leaking from the wound. Using my magic, I caused a fire to incinirate his body, leaving nothing but dust in its wake. It was quite fun to engage in battle like this. Something like this was something one must experience to understand.

As I was done with the battle, the building seemed to shake. Following a path of light I was able to emerge into the outside. In the outside was Megumi, and someone who seemed to resemble Itadori. His face was covered with tattoos and so was his chest. What caught me of guard was the gapeing hole in his chest. "Itadori!" I screamed in concern as he faced me, and I realized who it truly was.

"Another sorcerer, man this turned into a battle royale!" screamed the king of cursed as the light of the moon began to fall, illuminating this spectacle.
