Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 : Growing Up ( Part 1 )

* Yawn *

A dark blue haired boy slowly got out of bed as he yawned and stretched his pre adolescent well toned and chiseled naked body, the warm ray of the early morning sun softly greeted his face.

But there wasn't a smile on it instead his demeanor was that of an enraged ten year old, It's been six more years to Lucian's miserable life and the only time he felt quite happy was during the night time.

This was because he had uncovered the affinity he had for three fundamental elements of nature which were, Darkness, Light And Shadows.

He coupled the stress of his combat training during the day and at night he would find ways to get accustomed with his affinities.

During the years he met significant progress at a time and later his progression ceased, no matter what he did he always remained at a point, unable to advance.

This lead him to intense reading during his free time and sometimes ask his foster shitface dad to get him books on Mana and Ki cultivation.

Augustine was greatly saddened by this as he knew the boy couldn't use the energy source written in the history books said to be used by every single living organism, but nevertheless he complied and sent some cultivation scroll books.

The books were delivered and Lucian tried he's best to cultivate on both energies but failed, wondering how he was the problem, so he decided to leave training his affinities and just training physically.

It bothered him greatly as when training his teachers used their energy path ( Mana or Ki ) to make their moves and techniques fluent and easier, while he had to learn it the hard way, training sleeplessly to master a single move or technique.

All his teachers despised him except Hikaru and Alvin, well not all despised him, his Samurai master Ken didn't really care about his well being and was just working according to what he was paid to do.

And it wasn't as if he liked any of them anyway, the reason he was closer to Alvin his assasin teacher was that, he was technically the strongest and last assassin of this period and Lucian loved and valued the assassin class.

Alvins class were seen as outcasts and killed upon sight, the killings started since the beginning of the assasins, being one of the strongest to ever exist he saved himself but couldn't save his kind.

When he was hired to train Lucian, he didn't think much of it at first but when he noticed what Lucian was, he vowed to pass down every single assassin code, technique, culture, etc.

Hikaru like him because Lucian reminded him of his sick daughter which was his only child, he was also a very strong person as in his life time as a human which when enhanced with magic could span up to two hundred and fifty years, he learned most of the outstanding and formidable Martial Arts.

They included, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate, BJJ, Street Fighting, Judo, Lethwei, Judo, Kray Maga and Capoeira.

It take years to master one of these arts, but with mana it would be easier, nevertheless it would take someone years to full master one of those arts.

That couldn't be said for master Hikaru as he mastered all beginning his training from when he was twelve, unlike his master Lucian learnt every single thing in only six years while his master took a hundred and thirteen years.

Lucian's talent to master everything with a single glance and hard practice coupled with his monstrous physical capabilities made his growth really terrifying.

It was all his had work and his unknown origin which he didn't yet know about, all his life he was made to think he was a human and every human was as strong as his master's, ' Little Did He Know He Was Wrong '.

In his stories and historical documentaries on this world he only knew human's strong enough to destroy mountains with a single punch, he never knew humans were indespicably weak.

A fact he never knew he would find out today.

His naked body stepped out of the hot spring ever present at the corner of the garden, it had a zinc covering that protected it from rain water.

Despite this being his solidarity prison it was quite fancy although a bit dark and run down, enclosed in a two hundred meter tall concrete fence this was truly a prison.

He dried his wet body a deadbeat expression on his face, grabbing his raggy oversized clothes he slowly dressed himself as walked out of the shade into the warm morning sun.

* Sigh *

He walked round the large yard seven times before returning to the big tranquilizing garden, he rested under his favorite spot in the carpet grassed garden which was under the only tree in the beautiful scenery garden.

An opened book lay rested on the tree, " Almost finished with this one, I should have brought out another book for the shelf " he said to himself.

" But before that ", he got into a push up stance, within minutes he was committed into the intence training he was made to master over the years.

After six hours he was done, sweating and panting, he lay under the scorching sun tired and hungry, " I haven't had breakfast " he realized.

Removing his soaked oversized shirt he went into the building and came out with a few items, a charcoal stove, a medium sized black pot, an iron sieve, water and a tray of a few Instant Noodles, eggs, seasoning and a bowl with chopsticks.

He set everything to the ground and went into the house again but came out with sticks, matches and some combustible materials.

He put his charcoal stove which was a circular component with three legs for balance some meters away from the tree, he placed the combustible materials in the center of the stove and set sticks over it.

Striking the first stick against the box it broke, then he realized he had four sticks remaining, he struck another one and soon there was none left and he was infuriated as that was his last box.

Waiting for the first teacher would be three more hours from now, getting frustrated he wasn't thinking straight, to cure that he sat in a meditative position and breathe deep conservative breathes.

It was then he remembered a part of him he had long forgotten, he pointed a finger at the middle of the combustible material, for a moment nothing happened but soon a beam of light escaped his finger tip and ignited the sticks.

He placed his pot on the blazing flames and poured water into it before place six eggs into the water and left it to boil, he sat under his tree and quietly began reading his book.

After some minutes he placed his sieve into the boiling water and emptied eight packs of instant noodles into the sieve and waited for a minute.

He removed the hot boiling noodles into the bowl with the sieve, even with the sieve water still entered the bowl but it wasn't a problem as the sieve was to prevent excess water.

After that he poured his seasonings into the bowl and mixed it before cracking and placed his eggs into the noodles, finally his meal was complete.

He sat under his tree with his book and bowl of noodles, ' Ahhh, Perfect ', he said as he pinched his noodles and attempted to have a bite, but…

* BOOM *

Dust and debris filled everywhere but his chopstick did stop their advance until a boyish figure rose from the dust.

And an event that would soon shape his destiny Commenced.
