For two and a half years, Lucian was nursed into believing Augustine and Alexia were his biological parents and after that came six months of intense neglect.
In the sense of being locked in a dark room with no access to light and cool air, food would be passed through a small opening in the door, so he didn't lack nutrition but as an incredibly intelligent child he cried no stop as he was left alone with nothing to play with and nobody to interact with.
During the night time when he slept, Angela would come into the room to clean up after him and give him a bath, they were few instances which he woke up and cried to Angela not to leave him.
But of course that also fell on deaf ears, with time his young mind came to the realization that no one was come to save him, a realization that died few weeks later.
While in a lonely corner one day after turning three years old, some people in black burst into the room and threw him in a cage like an animal, covering the cage with brown canvas and he was taken to another city entirely where his treatment got worse.
Although he saw nothing during the gruesomely long transportation he knew he was beihvng moved, weeks later he found himself in an unfamiliar mansion, a mansion he would soon be spending the next nine years of his life.
Again he was thrown into another room although it wasn't too dark this time and had a opaque glass window on one of the walls…, similar to the previous time he wasn't feed at all but was given a toddler sized dummy.
Apart from the dummy there were two cuffed chains strapped to the wall, at the moment he understood little of what the chains were meant for but would later learn their uses were far more sinister.
With hunger gnawing at him he resorted to aggressively attacking the doll attempting to destroy it and keep his mind away from the hunger, his actions resulted in a cup of water and a few loaves of dry crumbled bread given by a mysterious figure in black.
Then his intence training began, with time he understood that this was all a test which he unwilling complied to, During night time the cuffed chains came into play with him being strapped to hang off the wall still by the mysterious black figures.
Years passed and being old enough at six they stopped him from attack a doll his size to doing physical exercises.
He also thought how to read and write at this period, this was so a piece of paper with his workout schedule would be passed out to him and failing to complete it resulted in him being striped naked, cast into a cold garden during the night and starved.
To them this was helping him building a dangerous personality and it was working with the only people he interacted with were those he called the black figures, so slowly he was developing a deadly antisocial and emotionless personality that no longer felt pain.
From physical workouts a time table was made for him as they gave him a better room and treated him better, at least now he had a bed and no longer had to sleep chained to a wall while standing, a study desk and a large bookshelf of important books were also kept for him.
He was allowed to move freely around the dark brick made mansion with no light during night time, all the dark figures left the mansion, leaving him alone yet again but this time he enjoyed it and mostly spent his time reading in the spacey garden.
It was in that garden on day which his foster parent came asking for his forgiveness to which he declined with the grudge of all the pain they put him through.
Before they left they introduced him to some new faces said to be his trainers into a perfect fighting machine, being six in number they were introduced as.
Alvin Grimore, his new Assassin teacher, Maki Sushi, his Ninja mistress, Bradus Dean, his Heavy weaponry master, Sasha Bernard, his Long Ranged Weapons master, Hikaru Aoi, his Martial Arts sensi and Ken Daiki, his Samurai master.
Lucian scoffed at the new companions, form his facial expressions one could easily tell he wasn't pleased at all but who was he to complain.
After his parents left, his new teachers assessed him individually and they all came to know some mind boggling facts, one being he had zero mana, two he was physically far stronger than an average kid.
They were heftily paid for such an easy yet strange task yet they agreed for the favor they owed Augustine some years back.
After a while they left and he was happy, the next day was going to be the start of his training to get skilled the training of physical strength had by passed him.
He walked into his room and jumped on the semi solid bed with a book in his hands, it was dark so he couldn't read, dropping the book he stared at the ceiling lost in thoughts.
His young mind had been through much already, much which children his age couldn't be subjected to, nevertheless he went through it and came forth unscathed.
Somethings felt strange to him as he figured out the people claiming to be his parents weren't actually his parents, they had no physical or mental resemblance.
And he just didn't feel like them, he felt different, like something unhuman, although he looked and behaved like one he could sense a myriad of differences that made him far superior although they hadn't showcased themselves.
The only window in the room, located high on the wall, probably a meter by a meter opening with metal bars gave off the vibes of a traped prisoner in a cell with no hope of freedom.
From this open came the beautiful scenery azure light of the night, this gave him hope and a bit of light, he sat on his bed the thought of a strange occurrence moving through his mind.
The room was small but high like a cell, a small bed lay on the left side of the room, a desk closely placed above that filling up the left area, by the right was a relatively high bookshelf, Lucian's only setback from insanity.
Around the room were four corners each at a ninety degree angle, these places were the darkest of the entire room, Lucian stretched his hand at the nearest corner to his bed.
He maintained some distance from dipping his finger into the dark corner, with this action he tested a strange phenomenon that always occurred around him.
After a few moments, the darkness slowly expanded it's influence from the areas not touched by light on to ones which were touched by light, all for one reason.
To reach Lucian's fingers.
