Chapter 11 - Chp:10 Plans and Plans

Walking along the cobbled brick roads of the Capital of Re-estize, Ainz masquerading as the Dark Knight Momon, accompanied by Naberal Gamma as Nabe, was lost in thought.

A few days had past since the Lizardmen events, one day, while contemplating as to how to 'read' the reports submitted by the Guardians he was greeted by one of the few people he least wanted to meet.

"Hyortr, what brings you here?" He probed, still acting as if he was reviewing a report though he understood less of what it was about.

"My Lord, a few weeks ago, Demiurge along with me formed a plan to further establish ourselves in this world, I believe you have already read our petitions, but I am willing to summarise?" Hyortr asked. His last word hung in the air as if he was asking for Ainz's permission to continue.

'Shit!! When did they give that? Did I glossed over it? What do I do!!' Ainz internally panicked.

Though the emotional suppression calmed him down, his calm mind rapidly simulated various responses to Hyortr's questions, almost all of which were unfavorable. So he finally chose one that suited his image.

"There, won't be any need, proceed as intended." Ainz declared, his aura radiating as if he knew everything.

'Atleast let me explain..do you even know it?" If it were Demiurge, then maybe he might have orgasmed at such display.

But Hyortr as a transmigrator knew more than that. He was sure Ainz knew nothing about this plan, and was simply bluffing.

'*Sighing* Let it be, his luck is too high for something unforseen to happen.' Hyortr relented.

"Very well my Lord. Then I will tell Demiurge to begin our attacks at the Five Fingers as our first Phase." Still, Hyortr intentionally slipped some hints for Ainz to catch up with.

'Ah! I see!! I have to see which Report mentioned that.' Ainz was grateful for his luck that made Hyortr inadvertently give him some leads.

And that was it. After Hyortr left, Ainz urgently filtered all of the Files and Reports submitted by Demiurge and Hyortr in recent weeks. While Demiurge submitted multiple in the duration, Hyortr Submitted only two.

So giving the fewer precedent, Ainz read the two reports.

First one was a day after the Guild Transfered, mentioning the state of the Fourth floor, it's NPCs and any abnormalities. There he read a passage that peaked his curiosity.

'He made the whole floor a Jungle?' Ainz thought.

'Hmn, I should look into this some day, the more pressing matter is to find that petition.'

As he picked the second file he immediately noticed the ominous title, written in bold capitals, along with a noticeable heaviness to it.

' Plan#0012[Revised#5490]: Armageddon '

He read in his mind. For a while he was lost in thought at that amount of revisions this plan went, and remembering who were the ones to submit it, he quickly put it aside.

Opening the file he was once again surprised to find a Context on it. A Context!! It was like he was holding a book!

It went along the lines of Pretext, Introduction, Objective then chapters one called Eight Fingers, then Workers, then Jaldabaoth, then the last was written as Interlude.

'There's more? What am I even reading, a report or a Novel?'

As he read the whole novel disguised as a petition, his emotional suppression worked in overdrive.

The Pretext simply included the reason behind this work, saying it was all to fulfill 'Great Lord Ainz's Vission' as the report states.

The Introduction gave an overview of the Chapters, summarising the Eight Finger plans, Empire plans and then Jaldabaoth.

The Objective was the simplest, it had only one sentence.

[Achieve World Domination]

This single sentence almost made Ainz scream in fright, he had never in his wildest Nightmares imagined it.

As the emotional suppression calmed him for the umpteenth time, he read the rest.

The three chapters detailed the plans going forward.

The Eight Fingers were a group of criminal syndicate that was deeply rooted in the shadows of the kingdom and held immense influence throughout the nation.

The file mentioned the Organisation's internal structure, the bases' blueprints, ranks, power, conflicts between members, deals with third parties and even their personal lives. It also gave a detailed analysis of their characters and goals.

The report also included Nazarick's plans for them, and also Ainz's role in it.

'What have I walked into...' Ainz now thoroughly regretted not reading the reports properly and giving every one a seal of approval.

As he read to the next chapter, a particular passage made him warry.

'Let the workers enter the Tomb?'

Though the plan was thorough and would be beneficial if it went along with the plan, he was cautious if anything unpredictable might happen.

Then, the last chapter, Jaldabaoth. Which was the alter ego of Demiurge, Ainz knew that much from the game itself. The plans there was to establish a history of Nazarick with the Denizens of the New World. This last chapter was proposed by Hyortr while the previous two were mainly by Demiurge with Hyortr adding minor inputs.

"This last one could be favorable for Nazarick." Ainz muttered to himself, placing the file down, as he immersed himself into contemplation.

Now, back to the present. He was currently waiting for night time, when the first phase of the plans will begin.

That day was a wakeup call for him, it made him aware of how little he knew of the inner workings of Nazarick. Especially the schemes that individuals like Demiurge and Hyortr might have running in the background.

He decided that after all these was over, he would thoroughly review their actions, even if it caused a little drop in his image.

----

Unbeknownst to Ainz, who was mulling over his negligence of his 'company'. Hyortr had already initiated his first plan since comming to this world, that was to gather information, on everything.

He began that with the help of Demiurge by planting shadow demons and hypnotizing or replacing various officials and minor lords of the Kingdom. He was currently focused of spreading this influence to the Empire.

As for the Theocracy, he needed to bemore careful because while on the whole that Religious Nation is not strong compared to Nazarick, it was still formidable in a sense that any evil might get snuffed out more easily.

For which he planned on doing the simplest thing a Villain could do, outright destroy it.

Hyortr, currently sat on his throne inside the temple of the Fourth Floor of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, looked in a particular distance. His gaze as if seeing things normal people might not.

'Though I am or was a human, I am now more than that, I am far more superior to that fragile human flesh. Killing hasn't brought me any guilt or nightmares to suffer. Rather I got a sense of satisfaction. Was it the Abyss influencing me?' Hyortr thought.

'*sigh* I sometimes forget the joy of being a human. Though fragile, weak and flawed, they are still the most numerous, like rabbits. They are ignorant of the real world, happy with the little knowledge they gain. For humans, Space is still a formidable obstacle for them. And here I am contemplating on how to tackle the Abyss, the primordial existence.

When existence didn't even existed, the Abyss was already present, silent, chaotic and deadly.'

The more Hyortr thought about it the more he felt grateful that he was on the 'side' of the Abyss. Even though that made him exposed to it more than anyone else.

"*Sigh* Leave it, contemplating the cosmic occurance is never a good thing, for both mind and being. Might as well contemplate how to become a God then." With that simple line of thought, Hyortr returned to his plans for Ainz's debut.
