The busy office environment made Lily forget about the issue from this morning. Angel's plan was only to make Lily feel like she was merely a secretary to Alger, nothing more. However, Lily seemed completely indifferent to Angel's antics. Instead, she focused on her office work, as she had a meeting with a client this morning regarding the rental of a building for the launch of Alger's company's new product. On top of that, she was also occupied with preparations for the annual event at the end of the month, marking the anniversary of Alger's company.
Just as she was about to stand up, she saw Angel approaching with her usual arrogant demeanor.
Lily raised an eyebrow when Angel attempted to enter Alger's office without permission.
"Sorry, Mr. Alger can't be disturbed right now, he's—"
"Who do you think you are? Do you really think I need to inform you about my personal meetings with Alger?"
