The flight was uneventful except for the occasional odd feeling of having done this before. Dominic spent most of the time with his soldiers, discussing things out of my earshot. No matter how much I tried to listen, I couldn't hear a thing.
Only then did I understand why Rosario said it was so important for Dominic to tell me the truth about his job himself. Because only after that he'd be able to discuss business in front of me, and I could get some insider info.
Brian didn't come with us. I heard him telling Dominic that he'd return with his girlfriend, and that caught my attention. But I'd have to wait for all of us to arrive in New York.
I watched as the car entered a posh residential area that was lined with some traditional and some modern, but all luxurious mansions and villas. They could be counted in fingers but the sheer size of the area in which each house was built was crazy.
