"Prepare the carriage for me. I would like to visit Lupenhold Palace," Casian announced, walking away.
He hadn't planned on going anywhere, yet his feet stopped in front of Lyra's chamber.
Casian frowned, questioning why he had come here in the first place. What was his purpose? But the moment Penny stepped out, he instinctively took a step closer, leaving her utterly surprised.
"Alpha," she muttered in disbelief.
Casian ignored her reaction and got straight to the point. "I would like to see Lyra."
Penny hesitated for a moment before stepping aside, granting him passage. She quietly closed the door behind him.
Inside, Lyra was absorbed in staring at the untouched gifts when a familiar presence made her tense. She turned sharply, eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Casian. However, she quickly composed herself, lowering her gaze.
Casian noted her flustered expression and cleared his throat, feeling an unfamiliar awkwardness settle over him.
