Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

MISAKI'S DARK PAST (2)

**My Dream and the Hyenas' Teeth**

I joined Future Star Agency at 14—a dream come true for someone with no connections nor influence. Being selected by one of the country's top talent companies, known for producing musicians, actors, idols, and models, felt unreal. But I didn't know how sharp the hyenas' teeth were back then.

I was grouped with four other girls my age. We shared an apartment, but I was bullied relentlessly. I slept on the floor, did their chores, and endured so much more. I couldn't complain; their families had everything, while I had nothing.

For a year and a half, I suffered, waiting for our debut. But when the day came, I was left behind—reduced to watching *their* performance, and even made their secretary for security reasons.

For three months, I endured this humiliating role. My mom called often, asking about my debut, and I lied every time. My dad, who never supported my dreams, barely checked on me. The world wasn't kind to a girl like me—juggling school, practice, and serving the very people who tormented me.

Then, a lifeline: a call from a dance leader in the industry. He offered me a spot in a new group with three other girls like me—no connections, no power. He was honest, but his influence was limited. For five months, we trained under the constant threat of disbandment. The company had a rule: groups that didn't debut before 18 were discarded.

One day, during practice, **Kyo Murasame** walked in—a superstar actor and model, the company's golden boy. Everyone knew him. Our leader said he'd been his student once.

After that day, Kyo visited often. Our teacher told him I was the core of the group—the best dancer, the one who wrote songs in my free time. Slowly, we grew closer, he's 23, he was a master of dance, and he even helped me with my lyrics. My bandmates joked we were lovers, but he just smiled, treating me like a little sister.

Then, disaster: we got the disbandment notice. Our dreams were about to shatter—until, miraculously, we were given a chance. A week later, we debuted as **MaskedBunnies**. Our first release, *ForeverLove*, took the city by storm. We were everywhere—headlines, charts, sold-out shows. Kyo came to every concert, his presence fueling my strength.

We became the company's new cash cow. As the face of the group, my popularity exploded. A few weeks after our debut, Kyo and I started dating secretly. My songs blew up, and I even got into **Noriko High** using the influence, where I met Fuyuki and made real friends outside the industry.

But behind the glitter, Kyo wasn't the man I thought he was. Our relationship grew toxic after two months in, filled with tension. I couldn't fight back—not when I owed him everything and it's too early for rumors, I often think he's the one who pulled the strings for us to make a debut, no matter what happens I've to bear with it.
