Chapter 12 - I am the one who will 'Remain'

Chapter 12

"Oh yeah, I would like to put that to the test, and we will see who will have a few teeth missing."

"And Ark's room is so big just because he is lucky. The boys' dorm is full, so he can only have this 'VIP Room'."

"Now my job is done here. Goodbye."

Melody watches her leave and calms down.

"Melody, we will go and get something to eat, and then I will tell you what I found."

Following the maps in the hallway, they go to the cafeteria.

There, they find it's almost full because it's dinner time.

When they reach the cafeteria and walk forward to take plates to fill them with food, the entire cafeteria goes dead silent and just watches them, taking their food and going to find a place to sit down.

They find a table with only one person sitting. They put their plates down and start eating. Soon, others begin whispering, "They sat down with that guy."

Melody looks around and sees that everyone is talking about them, but she doesn't care. Ark cares even less.

After Melody finishes her food, she introduces herself to the guy sitting opposite them:

"Hello, I am Melody Ember, and this is my brother Ark Ember."

Ark just lifts his head slightly and makes eye contact with the guy, nodding.

The guy nods back at both of them, and that's it. He goes back to eating his food.

Melody just watches him and doesn't say anything else. But then Ark asks him something:

"Are you from the 'Watchers Clan'?"

The guy then stands up, looking at Ark like he is his mortal enemy, ready to fight to the death.

But Ark just watches him with calm eyes. Melody prepares her robots to come to life at a moment's notice if needed.

The guy, looking no older than 25, with silver hair and elf ears, and green eyes, stares at Ark. After seeing that Ark doesn't say or do anything, he sits back down and answers:

"I am Elion Ellisar, and as you can see, I am not very liked in this university. So, you should go and not interact with me if you want to have friends here."

Ark looks at him and says:

"We don't care about something like that. We are free, to be free. If even now we don't have the power, when we do have all of this power, to do what is right for us, then when? So if we want to stay here and talk to you, then that's what we'll do. We don't care about what they have to say."

"I'm talking so much because one of your clansmen was a good friend of mine. His name was 'Zaos Vartan.' He was a young child when I met him, and I trained him for a little bit. I wonder if he is still alive."

When Elion hears the name, he stares blankly, and his brain short-circuits. But then he says with a trembling voice:

"That is the name of our progenitor, the one who united all the elves under one banner, the strongest in our history. He is our savior. The one who opened the gate to the World Tree, that is our ancestor."

"Ooh, then I'm glad that he managed to make his dream come true—a place where the elves can call their home. When I met him, he was drifting from one planet to another, searching for the World Tree. Back then, Earth wasn't playing with Dark Matter, so they were still weak. When your ancestor found Earth, he lived here for about 10 years. During that time, I taught him a few things, including how to make that 'Seal' that you have on you."

When Elion hears what Ark is talking about, his brain tells him not to believe, but his heart tells him that every word is true.

Ark sees his hesitation and tells him one last thing:

"If there is someone still alive from the time of your patriarch who knew him well, ask him if 'Zaos still liked to transform his enemies into dolls and make them play doctor with each other.'"

Elion just watches Ark and doesn't say anything.

Then Ark and Melody get up and leave the table, but not before passing and filling his plate with food once again.

On the way to the dorms, Melody asks him something:

"Ark, what did you want to tell me? What did you find out?"

"So, it seems that the core of the dimension moved inside the new Earth, and now they are merging together."

"What? You mean that the hardest part of our plan, to search for the core of the dimension all over the universe, which would take us a few thousand years, just got completed? Just like that?"

"Not entirely. We need to wait for the full merger of the cores, the dimension core and the Earth's core, and that's gonna take some time. I think a minimum of 100 years."

"So, in this time, we will watch the situation on Earth, but we will also travel to other planets. We only need to be careful about someone else finding the core and realizing what it really is."

"And we will look into the reason why the dimension core moved inside the new Earth."

"Aah, I don't know if we're lucky or unlucky. All the adventures we're going to miss, and all the planets that are still not discovered. I thought that we would find them all, that we would make a map of the entire universe. But I guess seeing only the Laniakea Supercluster is also enough."

"And how did you find out about the core? Didn't you say that if you use your powers, you would destroy everything?"

"When I fought Niobe, I activated 'Soul Vision' for 0.000001 microseconds. 'Soul Vision' allows me to see everything with my soul; nothing can hide from me. When I activated it, I saw the mind demon, and I was able to kill it. But at the same time, I saw everything in the Milky Way. Now I know pretty much everything about the things that go on inside the Milky Way."

"Unfortunately, Soul Vision was activated for too short a time, and I was not able to see the entire Laniakea Supercluster, because then I would know where the most beautiful planets are, and we would have been able to go there."

"The longer I would have kept Soul Vision activated, the more the universe would have been destroyed, because it can't handle my soul power."

"But a microsecond was enough to see the Earth merging with the dimension core."

Melody just watches him. I need to get used to his monstrous powers, so I won't be so surprised every time. But at first, he wasn't showing his powers so often. Maybe it's because I met him 10 years earlier before the 'Dark Matter explosion,' and he didn't have so many reasons to use his powers. I think if he would have used his powers then, before the people evolved, every single being on Earth would have died.

And just one year before the Dark Matter explosion, he went to sleep, and only his body remained. Before that, he was only busy with me to put the quantum computers in my head, so he really didn't have any reason to use his powers. So, in my defense, I really didn't have enough time and occasions to see how powerful Ark really was.

"Ark, then what is our plan now?"

"We will take it easy for now and enjoy a little bit of freedom."

"But I will need to make a visit to someone soon, so we can enjoy our university life with no problems."

"What do you mean?"

"In the future, there will be someone who will try to mess with us. So I will pay him a visit before that happens. Because I don't have the mood to entertain him in those games of his."

"Are you saying that the guy hasn't done anything yet, but you saw the future and you will go to him to make him see who he will mess with?"

"Pretty much. Fate and destiny are my bitches. Not the other way around. I don't dance after their tune, of course, that is if I'm not in the mood to play. Then I will let fate and destiny take their normal courses. But now I will forcefully change the course of that destiny."

"I want to just chill and explore that pyramid and just enjoy this peaceful life. Of course, that is until I'm bored, then I will forcefully change our fates and destinies again."

"Okay, I will just follow you until the end of time, big brother."

Ark just looks at her and nods, then they say their goodbyes and go to their rooms to sleep.

Ark sits at the edge of the bed and knows that it's still not time to pay the troublemaker a visit.
