Chapter 16 - I am the one who will 'Remain'

Chapter 16

"Melody, don't play the hero and get yourself killed, because I will kill you if you get yourself killed."

Melody smiles when she hears Ark.

"Okay, I will be careful, and don't worry; it's not my first time leading humans against monsters."

Then Ark looks at the others and says:

"Okay, that is all. You can go and prepare yourselves for tonight."

Then the others also leave, and only Melody and Ark remain.

"Melody, I will go and start to help the core, expelling the corruption. I will try to hurry, but being a pretty delicate situation there, I will need at least a couple of hours, so I don't know exactly when I will finish."

"No problem; you really don't have to worry about us. I will take care of everything up here. And how do you know so much about everything?"

"I only needed a glance to see what their plan is. I saw their armies ready and their leaders laughing and drinking, preparing for the assault on us."

"But i saw that only one was not drinking and taking part in their conversations. He was blurry, and only his silhouette was visible. He was like a shadow with a hood covering his entire face."

"I know he is the mastermind behind this."

And with an angry voice he says:

"I will pay him back a thousandfold for this when I meet him."

He looks one last time at Melody and nods, then Ark disappears from there.

He appears inside a big ball of fire, so hot that even the sun would melt here.

'It's so hot because of the fighting that is taking place,' thinks Ark.

Then he walks slowly and looks around. In the place he is in, there is no sign of corruption, but as he keeps walking he sees a big red-black patch in front of him, and that patch is starting to gain more and more ground.

'I need to find the cores and help them merge as fast as possible.' Then Ark walks in front of the red-black patch, and his body starts to glow, and then he walks right in. But instead of the patch hurting him, it starts to lose ground and is transforming again into white, clean fire.

Everywhere Ark walks, the patch is starting to disappear. But at the size of the place, it's only a drop in the bucket. 'This is gonna take a while.'

Up above, after Ark disappeared, Melody flies high up in the air and flares her aura. Then she speaks:

"Citizens of Hope, my name is Melody Ember. Unfortunately, I have some bad news. The earth will be under attack by some beings from other dimensions. They are the 'Devils' and the Dark Beings that put the monsters from earth to shame. Prepare yourselves for... War.

Just then the sirens for emergencies start whistling, and alarms are starting all over the place to be heard.

"This is an emergency broadcast; go to the city shelter. Further information will be offered there."

"This is an emergency broadcast; go to the city shelter. Further information will be offered there."

"This is an emergency broadcast; go to the city shelter. Further information will be offered there."

The people are starting to believe the words of Melody, and then fear appears, so they start running towards their homes to take their valuables and prepare to go to the shelter. Some are starting to crash their cars; for some, their monsters are starting to become agitated because of their masters' fear and the people's fear around them.

But before the situation goes further out of control, police robots start appearing, and then they help the people to calm down and keep the monsters in control.

Then screens appear all over the Third Empire.

Kyle Storm will give an explanation.

"Good afternoon. I will explain what will happen, and our plan. But before that, I would like to ask all of you to keep your calm and listen."

"Today at about 17:00 o'clock, we found out from a safe source that the earth will be under attack by some higher beings from other dimensions. They are real 'Devils' and Dark Beings whose powers are not weak. But just like them, 'WE ARE NOT WEAK ALSO.' We will fight with all we have to keep the earth safe, and we have on our side the one who fought with us in the beginning, made it possible for us to keep this city of Hope alive, and helped with killing almost all the monsters around the city. We have with us the one and only Savior, Computer the Destroyer."

When the people hear the news, at first their fear and panic appear on their faces. But when they hear the name "Computer the Destroyer," the entire empire goes silent; then, the next second, cheers and whistling are heard all around. The fear and panic disappear like magic. The people who just a second ago were fearing for their lives are now laughing and cheering.

"Our Savior is with us! We will be prepared when they come. We have enough time to give them the surprise of their lives when they arrive."

Then the screens disappear, and the police robots take control of the people, giving them instructions. Everyone is calmly following the robots, and no one screams and no one causes problems. The control of the masses problem is solved.

Kyle goes back to his office, where all his top people are present.

"Send the video to the other planets also. Send it all over the Laniakea Supercluster. For those who want to believe, and prepare themselves ."

Then Kyle looks at the people in front of him; there are only seven people: four guys and three girls. He remembers all the things they have been through.

"You guys don't have to follow me in this last endeavor. Thank you for your services until now. You are all free to go. Take your money and find a planet far away from the Laniakea Supercluster, and stay there until this disaster passes. Really, thank you guys for staying by my side until now."

They look at each other, but no one leaves. They smile, and then the second-in-command, a girl, says for all of them:

"We started together; we will finish together."

Kyle smiles and nods his head.

"Prepare the city for 'Battle mode.'"

Then each one goes to do their job.

At Leah's place, something similar takes place. When Leah reaches home, she goes directly to her father and tells him what Ark said.

"Father, what will our clan do?"

Asks Leah while heading towards the main hall, where an emergency meeting was called, with mandatory attendance from every head of the smaller clans, as well.

Her father smiles and turns to his daughter and says:

"We won't hide like cowards in our home while everyone fights for earth; we will go to... War."

Elion, after telling his master what Ark said, an emergency meeting is called. The elf leaders are meeting in the ancestral realm; every leader is there around a round table, but only their holograms, not their real bodies.

After the meeting is over, Elion's master comes and tells him:

"Elves will go to War. You are to assist Ark in any way possible."

Niobe is in her office, and after activating the Dimension ball, she is working hard to advance as soon as possible.

Then there is Melody, who is in her dorm room, screaming into her pillow, dying of embarrassment. Our savior 'Computer the Destroyer' plays in her head again and again. 'When Ark comes back, he's gonna rub it in my face forever.'

And Ark is still in the patch of dark-red corrupting energy, but he finds something interesting. 'So you did the corruption in a hurry, and you left a bit of your original aura here.'

'Too bad, because I will be able to find out some things about you.'

Ark starts to gather all the foreign aura in one place; then the aura becomes a ball, but very small, like a cherry. Then Ark puts his hand over it. He closes his eyes, and then some images start to appear.

The images are not clear, and some are broken like glass—not visible at all. But in a few moments, Ark can see something.

He sees one of the devils that was at the table drinking, and the blurry silhouette; they are saying something in a different language from the Devil's language.

Only a few words are spoken, but Ark knows what was said, and more importantly knows who speaks that language.

Then the ball of aura disappears, and Ark just stands there in thought: 'So that's how it is. The really big players are only using these devils to test me and hoping to see the limits of my powers.'

'They don't care how many die or what happens with the lower dimensions; for them, a few trillion dying is not a big thing.'

Then a golden aura starts to appear around Ark, and the patch of dark-red seems afraid to come closer to that aura.
