Chapter 33
When the She-Devil hears Kyle, an ugly look appears on her face. She gets really angry and says:
"You will have a slow death, I will make sure of that."
Then all of a sudden, she fires a blue fireball towards Kyle and Aurora, but the two of them are ready. They pull back and form a shield aura around them. However, when the fireball hits the earth, it explodes, but the explosion is cold, like a freezing hell. They immediately slow down slightly, and frost appears on their bodies. The She-Devil just watches them and doesn't attack further. Then the two Universe-Level Fighters look at the two Royals and see them with mocking smiles on their faces.
Kyle looks at the She-Devil, and she looks different from Ariach. This She-Devil is only two meters tall, with purple skin and black tribal tattoos that run from her chest to her hands and legs. Her eyes are a blue color, and her head is round like a human's. Her saw-like teeth take up most of her face.
Her hair is long and purple, just below her mid-back, and her wings are also a purple color.
Then he looks towards the She-Dark Being and sees a chimera-like creature. The bottom is a millipede, ten meters long, with hundreds of spear-like feet. Her arms are vine-like snakes with spikes all over her fingers, which are surely full of venom. Her upper body is like a woman's, covered in snakelike scales up to the neck. Her face is normal, resembling a nice next-door girl, with yellow eyes and snakelike pupils. She has a small nose and cherry-like lips. Her hair is also vine-like, full of venomous spikes, and moves as if she is underwater.
The Royalties are also looking at them, and the She-Dark Being asks them:
"What are your names? You can't be some nobodies if you have the courage to come to us, to fight."
Aurora looks at her and says:
"First, you should introduce yourselves, before you ask for our names."
The Royalties look at one another and realize these two are not like the other humans, who are full of fear when only laying eyes on them. These two are not showing even a shred of fear.
The She-Devil answers first:
"I am Devia Ar'aken, The Fire-Ice Ruler."
Then the She-Dark Being answers:
"I am Nyssa Vexthorn, and there will be no leftovers after I finish with you two."
Kyle and Aurora just look at the two of them, then turn towards one another and nod.
The next second, Kyle is behind Nyssa with his sword ready to take her head, but suddenly a wall of earth appears behind her. Kyle's sword cuts through the wall, but Nyssa is no longer there; he strikes only empty air. Kyle thinks, 'She stole Aurora's powers. I need to lead her further away from here.'
After nodding, Aurora also appears behind Devia's back and sends an earth spear towards her head, but Devia just turns her head to the side, and the spear flies past, causing no harm. Then Devia turns her head towards Aurora and smiles at her with a grin that says, 'I will have fun eating you.'
Then they see Kyle flying further away, with Nyssa chasing him, a hungry look on her face.
All around Aurora, water balls appear. Then an earth armor starts to form around her, but it's not normal earth. It looks like a sheet of paper; so thin is the layer of earth on her body, but this layer is stronger than the strongest steel and flexible like rubber.
She sends water bullets towards Devia, but a wall of fire appears in front of her, and the bullets turn to water vapor. Then suddenly, spears start to grow underneath her. She jumps up, evading them, but one spear manages to scratch her leg, drawing blood. Devia looks at her with an angry expression and says:
"Now I don't want to eat you anymore. I will play with you until not even your loved ones will recognize you."
Then fireballs appear all around her, and she starts firing bullets like a machine gun.
Aurora sees the storm of bullets coming from all directions. She knows she can't dodge them, so she pours her aura into her armor and she also makes balls of water, starting to fire water bullets towards Devia. Then everything around them becomes a beehive.
Aurora's armor manages to keep her safe from the fire bullets, and Devia stops the water bullets with a wall of fire around her. No one is winning the bullet war.
Then Aurora starts mixing some earth spears with the bullets, and the balance is broken. The spears manage to get past the fire wall, one spear heading directly towards Devia's chest. At the last second, she crosses her arms in an 'X' in front of the spear. She is sent flying back, and when she stops, one of her hands is broken, only held together by the skin, the bone completely shattered.
But Devia only smiles, and then her fire starts to burn where her hand is broken. In an instant, her bone is back in place, but not healed. The fire only freezes the blood around it, creating a bone of frozen blood strong enough to hold the hand in place, enabling her to continue using it.
Then suddenly, the fire expands, and Aurora is covered in the burning flames that make her feel like she's in an oven. The heat rises higher and higher, and Aurora starts to feel like 'a cooked duck' inside her earth armor. She can't call any water inside this oven, so she needs to act fast.
'If I can't go left, right, or up, then I will go down.'
She takes a knee and places her hand on the ground. The ground opens up and swallows her, and she descends until the earth is cool. She creates a space around her, then fills the space with water, her armor starting to cool down. 'Now is better. I need to be more careful and not let myself become trapped inside her fire.'
She begins to rise again while remaining surrounded by water, but she doesn't go back to the same spot. She goes a little farther and surfaces again. Looking around, she sees Devia a few hundred meters away.
She raises her hands to the sky, a concentrated look on her face. She remains like that for half a minute, then a few drops of sweat fall from her forehead. She persists for a full minute before lowering her hands.
Taking a deep breath, she begins walking towards Devia, keeping her breathing steady, a calm look appearing on her face.
When she reaches Devia's range, she flares her remaining aura and says:
"Devia Ar'aken, are you ready to die today? Because I am."
She flies towards her, and some earth spears appear near her. She sends them flying towards Devia, and the spears make a sonic boom as they move. Then some water bullets appear from the right and left.
Devia is trapped from the front, left, and right. Then Aurora starts to fly, coming from above. Now Devia is trapped from all sides, and she can't stop the water and earth attacks at the same time. Even if she somehow manages to do that, Aurora is still coming from above.
But Devia only smiles, and all of a sudden, the fire expands around her, immediately covering the attacks and Aurora. Aurora quickly forms a ball of water around herself. But the smile on Devia's face grows even wider.
She says:
"It seems you forgot what I can do, 'Absolute Zero'."
Then, it's as if everything stops in time. Nothing moves. A layer of frost begins to form on everything around them, the water bullets and earth spears frozen in space. Aurora is even worse off. The entire ball of water is completely frozen, and she is trapped in the middle of it, not moving at all. It seems that Devia has completely turned the tables.
She starts laughing.
"Ha Ha Ha! I really didn't expect you to fall into my trap so easily. Did you ask me if I was ready to die? Well, it seems that you will be the only one dying."
But then, she feels something wrong. She looks around for the source but doesn't find anything.
Then she feels something from above. She raises her head, and when she sees what's coming, it leaves her mouth open so wide that you could fit a watermelon inside.
She sees a huge Earth spear, a few kilometers long and one kilometer wide. If that spear hits, it will destroy everything for a few hundred miles around. Devia starts to panic and begins to undo her frozen fire, the ball of ice starting to melt. Then the ice around Aurora's head melts, and she looks around.
A smile then appears on her face.
"So, do you like my present? My present is made just for you, but you'll have to 'thank me' for it in the next life, Ha Ha Ha!"
