Many students stood up in a flurry when they saw Quirrell collapse. Others who didn't understand what was happening also began to get chaotic.
Dumbledore stood up upon seeing this and raised his wand. A beam of light shot from the wand, and fireworks burst in the air above the auditorium, drawing the attention of all the students.
Then Dumbledore pointed the wand at his throat, and a booming voice echoed through the auditorium: "Prefects, now take the students of each house back to the dormitories. Don't run around until further notice."
The panicked students seemed to have found their anchor and returned to their respective common rooms under the leadership of the prefects.
"Light, where are you going? Aren't you going back?" Harry Potter asked curiously when he saw that Light didn't stir for a while.
"You guys go back with the crowd first! I'll hang around for a while." Light glanced at Harry Potter and Ron and said.
"Are you going to look for Hermione?" Ron asked, clenching his teeth.
"No, I'm going to fight the Troll to see how strong I am." Harry Potter and Ron gave looks that clearly said, "Are you kidding?"
"No one believes me even when I tell the truth! I'm serious!" Light said helplessly, spreading his hands as he saw the disbelief on their faces.
"I'm going too! It was my fault that made her hide!" Ron stared firmly at Light.
"Then I'm going too. I can't let you guys risk it alone." Harry Potter chimed in.
"Alright then! If you guys wanna, you can tag along." Light said indifferently.
After the three of them made their decision, they followed at the end of the line. When the big group passed a particular corner, they seized the opportunity to duck into a secret passage.
"Where are we going to find Hermione?" Harry Potter, who had slipped out, looked at Light and Ron.
"I haven't got a clue!" Ron looked clueless.
"Where do you think a girl would hide if she was bullied, besides the dormitory?"
"The bathroom!" Ron answered before Harry Potter could start thinking.
Harry Potter looked at Ron in surprise, as if to say, "You actually know this?"
"No, my sister Ginny's just like that!" Ron seemed to get what Harry Potter was thinking and started explaining.
"Let's go then!" Light said.
Just as the three of them got to a corner near the girls' bathroom, they caught a whiff of a strong stench. Light tugged at Harry Potter and Ron, and the two instantly knew the Troll was just up ahead.
The three of them crouched around the corner and peeked out to see a Troll standing in front of the girls' bathroom, its back to them.
"I'll lure the Troll away. You guys go look for Hermione!" Light told the two of them.
"But..."
"No way, the Troll's about to go into the girls' loo! You guys go in and look for Hermione. If you don't find her, go to the professors right away!" Light interrupted Harry Potter's hesitation and walked out of the corner.
"Hey! Over here! Look at me." Light pointed the wand at his throat and shouted at the Troll with his voice amplified by the Sonorus spell.
The Troll stopped about to go into the girls' loo and turned around, looking at Light where the sound came from.
When Light saw the Troll look over, he fired a Stupefy spell at the Troll with his wand and immediately spun around and took off.
The Troll that got hit by the spell was stunned for a bit and then came to.
After the Troll woke up, it saw a little ant running away and immediately chased after it.
After leading the Troll away from the corner, Light roughly estimated the distance. Then he immediately turned around, raised his wand, and shot a Slippery Slope at the ground where the Troll was running.
"Boom!" The huge body stepped on the slippery ground and instantly fell down with a loud noise.
"Expelliarmus!" A beam of light shot towards the Troll struggling on the ground. The club in the Troll's hand was sent flying towards Light. With the Falling Rock spell, the club was given even greater force by the wand and smashed at the Troll's head.
"Thud!" A crisp sound like hitting a ripe melon rang out. As Light thought it was over and was about to put away his wand.
He saw the Troll getting up from the now non-slippery ground. Blood kept flowing from its head, and its expression became even more hideous due to the pain. It picked up the club with its right hand and stared intently at the little ant in front of it.
Only then did Light have the time to look at the four - meter - tall monster in front of him. Its skin was like a rock, dull and lackluster. Its huge, bloated body was like a gigantic pile of mud, with a ridiculous little bloodied head on top.
"Roar!!!!"
The Troll let out a roar and raised the huge wooden club, smashing it down towards Light.
"Diffindo!" A beam of light accurately hit the club that was smashing towards him, and the club instantly exploded.
"If you lie down obediently, you might still be able to save your life. Pili Baozha"
Before the Troll could even react to why the club in its hand had disappeared, a loud explosion rang out, and a big hole was blasted in the Troll's abdomen.
In great pain, the Troll waved its arms frantically, trying to find the creature that had injured it.
"Pili Baozha" "Diffindo" Two spells hit the Troll one after another.
The explosion erupted in the Troll's chest. The Diffindo spell directly tore open the wounds on the chest and abdomen at the same time, forming a huge wound, and blood gushed out of it.
The severely injured Troll let out a beastly howl and instinctively lunged towards Light.
"Thunderbolt!" A silvery-white light blasted off its left foot. The unbalanced Troll fell to the ground again. Using its three limbs, it tried to stand up while letting out even more miserable wails.
The Shatter to Pieces spell accurately hit the Troll's head. A dull sound like a watermelon breaking rang out. The struggling Troll heavily crashed to the ground, making another dull sound.
The smell of blood mixed with the Troll's own stench, and the fact that he had killed a humanoid creature, made Light feel highly nauseous and on the verge of vomiting.
"Completed the mileage 'First Blood', Mileage Points + 1."
Just as Light suppressed the urge to vomit, a message from the stone stele made him stunned for a moment.
"Light, are you okay! We've called the professors over." The Golden Trio hastily rushed over with three professors.
A series of rapid footsteps sounded behind Light. Professor McGonagall and Snape walked at the front, and Flitwick was at the back.
The three professors vaguely formed a triangle, protecting Harry Potter and the other two in the middle.
The Troll's mutilated body lay on the ground, and blood pooled beneath it. Light stood there, holding his wand and staring blankly at the corpse.
"What is this..." Flitwick slightly frowned at the bloody scene in front of him.
"Ugh!! Ugh!"
The Golden Trio were the first to vomit at the sight. Then Light couldn't help but follow suit.
Light, who hadn't eaten dinner, only vomited up a little acid, and then heard Professor McGonagall ask worriedly, "Light, are you okay?"
"I'm fine! I'm good. Thanks." Light suppressed the feeling of nausea.
Snape and Flitwick stared at Light for a long time before they simultaneously started examining the Troll's body.
After checking the Troll's body, Snape came to Light, who had been checked by Professor McGonagall and found to have no injuries.
"Mr. Light, your Spells are better than that of the Troll, but that's not an excuse for your recklessness! So, twenty points will be deducted from Gryffindor." Snape said coldly.
Hearing this, the three young wizards surrounding Light couldn't help but instinctively look at Professor McGonagall, hoping she would step in and be fair.
"That's right. You should remember this lesson." Professor McGonagall ignored the looks of the three young wizards.
