Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 Dumbledore

"Too harsh, Snape, Professor McGonagall! Shouldn't we ask them first why they're here?" A kind voice sounded from behind them!

"Albus! Have you finished handling matters in the auditorium?" Professor McGonagall asked Dumbledore who suddenly appeared.

"Everything has been taken care of! Most of the students are awaiting announcements in the common rooms of their respective houses. Professor Sprout is looking after Quirrell."

"So, would you like to tell us why you're here?" After answering McGonagall, Dumbledore changed the subject and turned to Light and his group.

"I wanted to test my strength, so I came to find the Troll. Harry Potter and the others were worried and came after me!" Light answered first.

"Is that right?" Dumbledore then turned his gaze to Harry Potter and the other two.

"That's not true. They came to look for me! Headmaster, I just came to find the Troll, believing I could handle it. I knew its weakness from the book, so I came here."

"Light and the others all came to look for me, so it's all my fault." Hearing Light's answer, Hermione anxiously stepped forward and took the blame on herself.

"In that case, let's carry out the punishment as Snape suggested! But, Light..." Dumbledore paused slightly and then continued.

"Because of your brave actions in protecting your classmates, I'll award twenty points to Gryffindor." Hearing this, Harry Potter and the other two let out a sigh of relief.

"Headmaster, isn't this a bit too lenient?" Snape said gloomily.

Hearing what Snape said, Harry Potter and the other two's hearts skipped a beat again.

"No young wizard can defeat a Troll shortly after enrolling. He's worthy of it!" Snape didn't continue to argue.

"Thank you very much for your kindness! And thank you, professors, for arriving so quickly." Light thanked with a smile.

Just as Light finished his polite conversation with the professors, Dumbledore suddenly spoke:

"Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick. I need your help to take Light and the others back and let the students know that the crisis is over and the dinner can continue."

"Snape and I will go there after we're done handling things here."

After hearing Dumbledore's instructions, Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick took Light and the other three to the auditorium.

"What do you think, Snape?" With a wave of his hand, Dumbledore made the blood all over the place seem to flow back into the Troll's body as if time had reversed.

"He's an excellent wizard. The speed and power of his Spells are above the average level, but his accuracy isn't very good. He should have little experience dealing with living things." Snape said, looking at the restored complete body of the Troll.

"What do you mean? Why do you think he's excellent?" Dumbledore seemed to be interested as well.

"His first strike destroyed the opponent's weapon. The second strike hit the lower right abdomen of the Troll. He probably wanted to disable the opponent's mobility, but unfortunately, he missed."

"Although the third and fourth strikes inflicted huge damage on the Troll, he should have aimed at the head, but still missed."

"Then the fifth and sixth strikes went as normal, and he directly killed the Troll."

"Destroy the weapon, disable the mobility, and deliver a fatal blow to the vital part."

It can be said that this strategy is effective against any opponent. It's really excellent." Dumbledore agreed with Snape's statement.

"And he was very calm and decisive. When he realized he couldn't subdue the opponent with the uniforms, he went for the kill." Snape continued, standing on the slightly slippery ground.

"You're right. Perhaps I should have a talk with him. Do you need the body of the troll? If so, I'll send it to your office."

"Yes, I need it to make some potions." Hearing Snape's words, Dumbledore waved his hand again, and the troll on the ground disappeared instantly.

"Alright! Let's continue the feast!"

While sitting on the chair at the Gryffindor table, replaying the battle just now, Light received a message from the stone stele:

"Complete the Mileage 'The Strongest Appreciation' and gain 1 Mileage Point."

After all the students returned to the auditorium, Dumbledore appeared leisurely and announced that the feast would continue.

Light, who was enjoying his meal, vaguely felt that someone was watching him. So he looked up and found Dumbledore staring at him.

Light wasn't scared. After giving a smile, he continued eating.

After having his fill, when Light was about to go back, a bat landed beside his ear and whispered:

"I hope to have a talk with you. Can you come to my office later? I'll be waiting for you there." Hearing this, Light nodded slightly. The bat by his ear then flew away.

Light said goodbye to the Golden Trio and walked towards the headmaster's office. Along the way, he kept taking deep breaths to build up his confidence.

Light walked through the campus with a nervous mood, illuminated by numerous floating jack-o'-lanterns. He came to a huge and extremely ugly stone gargoyle.

Light took two deep breaths and uttered the password: "Lemon Sherbet".

As Light uttered the password, the stone gargoyle in front of him came to life and leaped to the side, revealing a wall.

The wall split right in the middle, revealing a hidden spiral staircase.

Light stepped onto the steps. When he had walked a few steps on the stairs, the wall behind him closed with a loud crash.

The spiral staircase automatically spun upwards. When it made Light feel a bit nauseous, the stairs slowly decelerated and finally stopped.

A shiny wooden door came into sight in front of Light. Light stepped forward, reached out and grasped the brass doorknocker in the shape of a griffin, and knocked on the door.

As soon as he finished knocking, the wooden door opened automatically.

Seeing this, Light pushed the door open and walked in. The room behind the door was extremely bright. In the circular room, there was a stand on which a bird was dozing.

The room was filled with portraits of former Hogwarts headmasters, and the name and tenure of each headmaster were marked at the bottom of each painting.

Looking around, there were all kinds of strangely shaped magic items placed everywhere. Light immediately noticed the wide, flat and hollow basin with intricate patterns engraved around it. It resembled a fancy washbasin.

In this empty room, Light called out 'Headmaster' several times, but there was no response.

So Light continued walking further into the room, planning to sit and wait by the large table in the middle of the room.

A mirror was placed beside the table. Light walked closer and took a glance.

This mirror was truly imposing. It reached right up to the ceiling, with a gorgeous golden frame. At the bottom, two claw - shaped supports held it upright on the ground. At its top was engraved:

"Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi"

"The Mirror of Erised," Light immediately knew the origin of the mirror. As he hesitated about whether to move forward.

"I'm very sorry. There were even more things to handle tonight than I thought. Thank you for waiting so long!" A gentle voice rang out in the room.

Light turned around and saw an old man with a white beard sitting in the middle of a large table, explaining things to him.
