Chloe leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. "That was Ryker, one of the uprising twins. They're known for causing trouble and stirring up drama."
Serafina raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by trouble?"
Chloe nodded. "Ryker has a twin brother, River. They're identical, but they couldn't be more different. Ryker's the more outgoing one, always causing trouble and pushing boundaries. River's more reserved, but he's just as cunning but he keeps Ryder in check."
Serafina's eyes widened in surprise. "I had no idea. What's their story?"
Chloe shrugged. "No one really knows, but rumor has it that they're from a powerful family. They're definitely not Mortals, that's for sure."
Serafina felt a pang of curiosity. She wanted to know more about Ryker and his twin brother. What were they hiding? And why did Ryker seem so interested in her?
As she pondered these questions, Serafina noticed a group of girls staring at her from across the cafeteria. They looked like they belonged to the elite crowd, with their perfect hair and makeup.
One of them, a blonde girl with a scowl on her face, caught Serafina's eye. "You're the new girl, aren't you?" she sneered. "I'm Alisha, and these are my friends not like we introduced ourselves before." as they laugh among themselves
Serafina felt a surge of unease, but she stood her ground. "Hi, Alisha. I'm Serafina you didn't really get my name last time as you were distracted."
Alicia's eyes narrowed. "Welcome to Zena Academy, Serafina. I hope you're ready for the drama that comes with being here."
Serafina smiled sweetly. "I'm shaking in my boots, Alisha"
Alisha's face fell, and she turned to her friends. "Let's go. This conversation is over."
As Alisha and her friends walked away, Chloe leaned in and whispered, "You just made another enemy, Sera."
Serafina rolled her eyes. "Great, just what I need."
Sera says " I just can't back down from these bitches they tend to push harder if you don't push back."
Chole laughs "you been bullied that you seem to have experience"
Sera smiles "you wouldn't believe me if I told you I was bullied so much that even my best friend Betty used me as a cover to promote herself and almost killed me if not I got sent here so I have a lousy experience with bullies."
Chole says "hey you got to be careful those bitches fight dirty and not so fair."
They drop their tray and move out of the cafeteria
Chloe says "at least we on the same class water spell casting."
Sera says "yeah cause I would be lonely." and they move to the next class Chloe says.
Chloe giggled. "Don't worry, Sera. You can handle yourself. Besides, Alisha's just mad because Ryker was talking to you."
Serafina raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean I thought they are dating.?"
Chloe leaned in closer. "Alicia's had a crush on Ryker for ages, but he's never given her the time of day. She's jealous that he's interested in you and he only dangles a carrot at her and Ryker doesn't date he fucks."
Serafina's eyes widened in surprise. "Interested in me? I don't think so and I am not so easy to get my pipe cleaned by a fuck boy."
Chloe shrugged. "Don't be so sure, Sera. Ryker doesn't usually talk to people like that. He's definitely got his eye on you."
Serafina felt a flutter in her chest at the thought of Ryker being interested in her. But she pushed the feeling aside, reminding herself that she didn't need any more drama in her life.
As they finished their lunch, Serafina noticed a boy watching her from across the cafeteria. He had kind of like this messy curly cute orange hair and red eyes .
"Who's that?" Serafina asked Chloe, nodding towards the boy.
Chloe followed her gaze. "That's River, Ryker's twin brother."
Serafina's eyes widened in surprise. "River? But he looks so different from Ryker."
Chloe nodded. "I know, right? They're identical twins, but they have totally different personalities. River's more reserved and quiet, whereas Ryker's more outgoing and loud."
Serafina felt a pang of curiosity about River. What was his story? And why was he watching her?
As she pondered these questions, River caught her eye winked and smiled. Serafina felt a flutter in her chest, and she quickly looked away, feeling a sense of unease.
What was going on? Why were both Ryker and River suddenly interested in her?
Serafina shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. She didn't need any more drama in her life, especially not from the uprising twins.
