Bulma crossed her arms in a fit, wearing that look on her face that screamed ARE SERIOUS! "Oh I dunno, but it might have something to do with how you got me pregnant and then went off gallivanting with other women! I've raised my son so far without any help from the father. Thankfully my mother loves to take care of him while I work with my father. You know, my father, who's actually around, unlike a certain someone! Gee I wonder who that could be, do you know YaMcHa?" She scolded, causing Bosa to laugh while pulling on Goku's hair.
"Yamcha, did you really leave like that? That's kinda messed up, man." Tien said with a masked yet clearly disappointed tone.
"Yeah, Tien wouldn't have done that." Chiaotzu added, pointing at Yamcha.
"Ahahaha, hey Tien, maybe if Yamcha has a broken leg again he'd stay still long enough to be around." Krillin bantered.
The group laughed, remembering the time Tien broke Yamcha's leg in the last tournament. Master Roshi took a few steps forward, just close enough to Goku he was… Well, within reach.
"Hey, Yamcha, I don't know all the details, but it's clear that you didn't bother to be around for your own kid. You should reflect on this before the tournament begins. Such actions will cause demons in your heart and weaken you… Oh ouchy ouch ow!" Master Roshi spoke, interrupted when Bosa had reached down and started yanking on his beard.
"Yes Master, I will reflect on this…"
"Well, I'm not going to just let you come around whenever. As far as I'm concerned Bosa is my son, and my son alone. Though, perhaps I should find him a father, say G…"
"If you're offering, I'm available Bulma." Krillin chuckled, lightening the mood with a bit of laughter.
"I won't be a father, but I don't mind coming around once in a while to hang out with the little guy, Bulma."
"Yeah, sounds like fun. And maybe he can start training to one day defeat his own daddy." Chiaotzu giggled.
"Well, the way looks now, he already will. He defeated Goku and Master Roshi, single handedly as a little guy." Krillin laughed, holding his sides, as Bosa kept pulling on Master Roshi's beard.
"Yeah, this little guy, he's incredible. Whoever his father ends up being will be a lucky one to have such a kind hearted and happy son." Goku laughed, lifting Bosa up above his head. "Say, Bulma, I'll come by and help train him. Call me Uncle Goku!"
Bosa stopped giggling and looked at Goku with curiosity. "Uncy Goku! Haha." He giggled, shaking his arms and legs with a happy smile.
Bulma, at that moment, looked a little sullen. Something that didn't go noticed by the others. That was her chance. Her one chance, but it was only a brief sadness. "I'd like that. And Goku, if you're going to come over. Is there anything you can think of that might be helpful for training?" She asked, hoping to have some way to draw Goku in and keep him for longer times and more frequently.
Goku brought Bosa down and placed him back in Bulma's arms, while he thought about it. "Well, I dunno Bulma. I've had a lot of training these last three years… Oh, I know, I have these weighted training clothes. Basically it's just heavy clothing. Do you think you can make something like that?" He asked, standing in his thinking pose.
"Hmm, I see, so this is meant to make you heavier so everything you do is harder, thus making your regular normal training more effective." Master Roshi commented.
"So, the idea is to increase your weight to make the training more difficult, allowing you to temper your body more easily?" Bulma asked, confirming the concept, as a few thoughts on how to mimic such a thing flooded her brilliant mind.
"Yes, there was also this room up there I can't say much about, but… I felt so much heavier in there, at least 10 times heavier too. Man was that difficult." Goku laughed with his signature laugh. And then his stomach growled. "Oh, I'm hungry…"
"Let's go eat then. I've made reservations at our usual place." Master Roshi said lifting his staff in the direction of the restaurant, as he began to walk that way.
"You're not gonna make me cover the bill this time, are you?"
"Ah, come on Bulma, I'm Roshi, I can handle a little bill."
During their meal the restaurant workers brought, bowl after plate after bowl in a seemingly endless cycle. Each time they did Roshi's jaw dropped more and more. And then there was a brief pause in the consumption of food.
"Hey Bulma, why's Bosa not eating much? Isn't he hungry?" Goku asked, with a sudden interest and curiosity.
"Well, he is old enough to eat some mashed foods. But my mother said I should keep feeding him until I can't do it anymore. Something about proper nutrition and the immune system."
"Huh? I don't understand? Aren't you feeding him right now? I mean, it looks like he's eating to me."
"No you, I mean breastfeeding."
"Wait what? He eats breasts?" Goku shouted then, after the awkward silence he spoke again. "So would they be… Chicken or Turkey? I like them both."
The people in the restaurant flipped onto their backs in response to the sudden change.
"Ugh, ah! All that training and you couldn't have learned about something so simple and natural?!"
"Hey it's not my fault Master Roshi. I just like fighting, that's all."
"Well, that's so you Goku…"
Bulma sighed and pulled out a privacy cloth, setting it up properly. "It's like this Goku: A mother will cover themselves because of some lecherous fools, and then their baby will drink milk from the mother's breast."
"Oh, wait, milk from a person? What?"
This caused a second round of the people falling on their backs, and an eruption of laughter.
"You're too much Goku, it's completely normal."
"Huh, does… Hey Bulma, what does it taste like? Is it like the milk in the stores?"
"Pfft, ahaha, Goku you're funny… huh?" Bosa's hand popped up and gave a thumbs up. "Looks like it has Bosa's approval."
"Hmm," Goku stared at Bulma a little uncomfortably long. "Well, back to the meal." And food began flying into the bottomless pit of a stomach once more.
Eventually, the time to pay the bill arrived, and like Bulma thought she ended up being the one to cover the bill. And then they left for their hotels. Bulma and Launch shared a room with each other, talking all the girl talk they could before they fell asleep with Bosa in between them…
