This is bad, like really bad.
Sarina and Julianna don't talk anymore. They barely even acknowledge each other. Except for the occasional glare, or sarcastic remark. And Roman? He seems it ignore all this as if he has no idea what's going on. He probably thinks Sarina is being weird.
But the rest of us, we see it. Everyone in our friend group feels the tension, everyone's asking, " what happened to Julianna and Sarina? Did they fight?". " It's a long story…" I say back. Our friend group consists of 5 people.
Mark Buckley and Jordina Rose Hoffman, the couple of our group, Mark proposed to her on her birthday, as her birthday gift.
It was actually adorable, he got her roses, a stuffed teddy bear, and some German chocolates he got from his trip to Germany, because she is German.
Then we have Reese Calloway, and Noah Mendoza, we nicknamed them the " siblings" of the friend group, because they go back and forth with each other on a daily basis.
Not one day has went by, where the two weren't fighting.
" Ok, but make sure to tell us on call tonight, I'll host a group call, ya'll better join" Noah suggests, I accept the plan, and start to head to my 5th period class down the electives hallway.
Computer science, although I don't look like it, I am a huge computer nerd, right now I am learning to program my very own game, where the main gameplay characters, have to battle through levels, like fighting bosses, collecting loot, crafting your own tools, and collecting mounts, maybe even trying to find your own spouse, which is role play of course.
You can evolve your gear, your mount, and weapon, but this can only be through leveling up, which can be done by fighting enemies, other players, bosses, or rebirth. God, I love myself.
I haven't come up with a name yet, I fear I need more thinking on that part, the game itself isn't planned or developed fully. My eyes are glued to my computer screen, until my concentration is interrupted.
" Looks like the blonde has some smarts after all", a boy teases, the voice seems to be slightly deep, husky voice, I recognize it slightly.
I tear my eyes off my computer screen, and turn my chair towards the talking person. Tanner Hashburger, this isn't even the first time.
His brown hair is styled into a slick back neatly, he's wearing a racer jacket over a white shirt, topped off with light blue jeans.
He stands in a forward stance as he's faced towards me, feet facing opposite directions, hands in pockets.
Don't know if we are enemies, or if he just teases a lot.
He tilts his head, and gives me a cunning grin, showing his teeth.
" Tanner, what do you need?" I ask, I just want to get this over with, I'm not in the mood for teasing right now, I have a game to develop.
" Nothing, thought I'd check on you blondie" he smirks, " you know, why aren't you out partying? Isn't that what you pretty girls are known for?" He snorts.
" No we aren't, in fact that is quite stereotypical if you ask me" I raise an eyebrow at him, arms crossed over my chest.
" Geez, it's just a joke" he laughs, " ok, funny joke, now please leave me alone?" I then turn my chair towards the computer screen, and begin doing work on my keyboard.
" What are you even doing?" He asks in a curious tone, he then approaches towards my table, and puts both hands down on it, glaring at my computer screen. Ok, now I'm annoyed.
" Tanner, can you ju-" I turn my head to look up. Our faces are so close, there is only a distance between my nose and his, are we making, eye contact?
His eyes looks so beautiful up close, a gorgeous shade of forest green, with a speck of brown surrounding his iris. I study his face, his skin so clear, that the light above us bounces off his skin. I look to the right side of his face, he has a small mole under his eye.
His nose is perfect, with a small arch in the middle, giving it a beautiful nose bridge.
6,7,8, he quickly turns his face to the left, we break eye contact.
" B-bye blondie" his voice cracks, he touches the back of his neck and runs out of the computer lab, in embarrassment.
I am just left staring, and processing what just happened, my cheeks burn to the point I feel I can fry flatbread on them. Am I blushing?
No, this can't be, I can't like Tanner Hashburger, god his name is so weird, no wonder why he loves hamburgers.
Snap out of it Sabrina, you don't like him, focus on your game. I think to myself.
I shake my head in confusion, I decide to turn my body around, and forget everything that just happened, if I can.
You don't need boys, boys are stupid, and greedy.
Every single thought I think about, just makes my typing more aggressive, i can't focus.
I curse under my breath.
" Ms, Wilson, I suggest you type softer, unless your willing to pay a 2500 dollar fee, for breaking one of my computer keyboards" he scolds.
I shoot my head up, touching the back of my neck in embarrassment, " I'm sorry Mr. Butcher man, I'll definitely type softer" I reassure.
" Good" he replies, and then returns to focusing on grading papers, but then he looks up at me again. I try to avoid contact, but can't stop myself from looking, and looking away every second. Come on say something.
" Ms.Wilson" he finally speaks up, " do you think your possibly running high on a fever?" He asks, lifting a brow in concern.
" Huh? O-of course not Mr.Butchermann! I'm absolutely fine I guarentee to you" I then feel every inch of my face, to see if I'm warm, nothing.
" Really? You look quite red if you ask me, someone kiss you by accident?" " W-what!? No!" I answer quickly then I expect, right after those words slip out, I cover my mouth, hoping that will stop me from blurting out anything else.
He chuckles softly, " oh child, I'm only messing sound, focus on your work" he lifts his chin, to point at my computer, I nod in embarrassment, cracking a smile. God I feel so stupid….
I dig my face into the palms of both my hands, trying to hide myself from what just happened. Julianna and Sarina, Tanner, and now getting caught off guard? Today must be a gifted day, who am I kidding….
