Chapter 14 - Chp 14

At 6 o'clock the next morning, Jon Hart woke up from his sleep.

He got up and looked around. He was now in the Hufflepuff boys' dormitory.

Hufflepuff's dormitory is in the form of single rooms, and each person has his or her own cubicle... Although each cubicle looks very small from the outside, the space inside is surprisingly spacious.

The suitcase had been carried in, and a glass cage containing two South African red spider mites had been placed on the windowsill.

Jon walked over, took out a few dead mealworms from the small box next to the cage, and threw them into the glass cage... He didn't care much about the health of these two spider "pets", as long as they could hold on until around Halloween!

After a simple wash and putting on the black robes of Hogwarts, he came to the Hufflepuff common room.

There was no one here now, after all, it was about 6:15 in the morning. The warm sunlight shone through the window onto the plant specimens placed in the lounge. Those were placed here by Professor Sprout, the head of Hufflepuff!

Jon had no intention of staying in the common room. He passed through the circular underground tunnel, crawled out of the barrel, and returned to the underground corridor on the first floor of Hogwarts.

Hogwarts' school rules prohibit wandering around the school at night... Jon doesn't have powerful weapons like an invisibility cloak or a marauder's map, so he can't explore the school leisurely at night.

...

...

But this did not prevent him from getting up at six in the morning and walking around the equally quiet campus. It did not violate school rules and the light was brighter.

Jon's first stop was the kitchen, next to the Hufflepuff common room.

He wanted to have breakfast first, but at this time, the dining hall must not be open.

"Gabrielle said yesterday that the kitchen is just down this corridor..."

Jon muttered to himself as he looked around.

Soon, he found it, a painting of a silver bowl filled with fruit.

Jon stretched out a finger and gently tickled the large green pear; it squirmed and giggled, and suddenly became a large green doorknob.

Walking through the door, you will see a room almost as big as the restaurant, with many gleaming copper pots and basins piled against the surrounding stone walls and a large brick fireplace at the other end of the room.

"Sir... Hello... Sir..." A little thing rushed towards him quickly: "Excuse me, what can I do for you?"

It was a very ugly "little monster", a house elf... It had two large bat-like ears and a pair of protruding green eyes the size of tennis balls. Even though he was mentally prepared, Jon was almost frightened.

"Hello!" Jon adjusted his mood a little, then extended a hand to the house-elf: "I am Jon Hart, a Hufflepuff student. Can I come here to ask for breakfast from you?"

"Hufflepuff!" the house-elf suddenly screamed. "Welcome... very welcome... it's my pleasure..."

As it screamed, it grasped two of Jon's fingers with its panicked hands.

Immediately, six house-elves came hurrying up from behind him, bearing a large silver tray with a mug of milk, a cup, and a large plate of biscuits on it.

"Thank you, thank you very much... Actually, it doesn't take so much!" Jon said seriously: "By the way, I don't even know your name yet."

"My name is Klein, sir..." The house-elf wiped away tears and said, "It is our honor to serve Hufflepuff students!"

More and more house-elves gathered around, stuffing bread, cakes, and pies into Jon's hands.

"That's enough. It won't take that much!" Jon said as he turned his attention back to Klein. "Wait, why do you want to emphasize Hufflepuff?"

"A thousand years ago, life for us house elves was miserable... Madam Helga Hufflepuff brought our ancestors to work in the Hogwarts kitchens, making sure we had work to do and were not abused, so that we lived better than house elves everywhere else..." Klein said, choking up.

"Protecting Hufflepuff is the duty of every Hogwarts house-elf..."

 …

Ten minutes later, Jon left the kitchen with a bag full of food stuffed in his robe, under the gaze of more than a hundred house-elves.

It seems that choosing Hufflepuff was the right choice. At least I will have enough food and drink at school from now on!

And he seemed to understand why there was no magic in the Hufflepuff common room to repel intruders, and why no strangers had broken into the Hufflepuff common room and dormitory for almost a thousand years... because the house-elves were always monitoring the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room, and any illegal intruders would be driven away by them!

He did not return to the Hufflepuff common room, nor was he in a hurry to go to class. It was only half past six... He walked upstairs in the castle.

The stairs in Hogwarts were very complicated, but fortunately he could ask portraits for directions, and most of the portraits were happy to show him the way... Jon climbed up the stairs to the eighth floor of the castle.

It took him more than ten minutes to find the wall on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle opposite the tapestry where the troll beat Barnabas with a stick.

He walked back and forth along the wall three times, and a brightly polished door appeared on the wall!

The door to the Room of Requirement appeared before Jon... He reached out, turned the brass handle, and pushed the door open.

A dining table appeared in the room, with a complete set of tableware on it.

"Wow, this is amazing!" Jon took out the biscuits, cakes, bread and other things that were stuffed in his robe and put them on the plate; then he picked up the cutlery and began to enjoy his breakfast.

"Perhaps I should test what the Room of Requirement can provide at most?" Jon thought to himself.

Let's start from the largest range and then reduce it little by little...

 Jon stood up.

"I need a strategic missile silo and an intercontinental strategic missile carrying a nuclear warhead!" He muttered in his heart: "It doesn't need to be too powerful, a model like Avangard, Poseidon,Dongfeng or a Minuteman will do!"
