Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 : A Decision

Calm cool breeze rushed into the chambers of the Seven Pinnacles, tranquility seized control, drops of cold sweat ran down the faces of both armed guards which stood at the entrance of the well ventilated chamber.

Everything seemed to have stopped motion except the movement of time as the sound of the grandfather clock consistently rang in the background.

" We cannot afford another mistake like that of our predecessors " a calm voice said as the entrance door flung open and a scholastic man entered with a duo of books in his left hand and his other hand correcting the position of his glasses.

* Step, Step, Step *

" Werehyena Grandmaster Dion, The Lord of Intelligence, His lordship has arrived " both guards announced in utension.

Dressed in a thawb and a ghutrah he moved with an air of unmatched grace, diamond and golden jewelries adorned his looks, like a conserved super model blessed with pink lips and dark hunter eyes he walked heads down.

The brown skinned man walked closer to the conference table his acquaintances staring at him in utter awe which quickly morphed into a violent outburst of aura an exception being Augustine.

He's curly Arabian hair fluttered so did the spiral of sand which encircled him, his body felt crushed and his movement difficult, a smile spread across his face as a yellow outburst of aura appeared around him.

With this the African Arabian man casually strolled to his sit and dropped his books on the table whistling care freely, " Why must all you youngsters choose to frustrate your elders " The Dwarven Grandmaster said pulling on his grey hair.

" I think you guys should take it easy on your guards " Dion said pointing to the hyperventilating guard clutching to their spears like their lives depended on it.

" They are irrelevant " The Giant Grandmaster concluded, " Anyways, I am here to desolve your little ' Herod Plot ', as we all know trying can't stop fate is pointless, nothing can stop it ".

" I want to know why you lied to your comrades, The Oracle said the child wouldn't be born of a woman of this world and would be able to generate huge amounts of an unknown energy that isn't mana, an energy that can't be sensed by mortals of this world, Why didn't you tell them " Dion said pointing a finger at Zeke.

The white haired elven mage fumed, " Are you really driven by the bloodshed of the innocent, Or… ", " Hold your horses young man, Don't you dare stroll into this place late, violating our laws and start throwing random accusations at your leader. "

" So you hid that from us Zeke, and I was about to order for the death of newborns for the space of two years to my Emperor " Lina said.

" I had high hopes for you as leader, but as it turns out you can even hide things from those you lead and you expect those above to be satisfied " The Dwarven Grandmaster added.

" I should have known Augustine was planning a revolt against me with Dion but this is insanity, I wouldn't lie to my people " Zeke defended.

" Mind you old man, I side with no one, plus your debate mate has caught my attention " Dion snapped angered by the absurd outburst.

" I get the fact none of us as meant to be acquaintaned to each other and would probably rip each other apart with a given chance, but for once let's form a singularity and fabricate a solution, remember the higher ups are watching. "

This was said by a calm observative voice belonging to a male Gorgon, the second youngest Grandmaster Graham, The Lord of Piercing Gaze.

" I concur to the annihilation of every child which is supposed to be manaless " he added adjusting the beanie on his head, " I agree with the boy " Asel The Giant Grandmaster said in his usual hoarse voice.

" Agreed to by me " X3

* Sigh *

" I concur " Augustine said.

Moments passed and nothing came fort from the Elven mage dressed in a pristine green and white gown, Stroking his beard he thought eyes closed.

" Agreed. " He said finally, " the expression on Dion's face turned into delight as he stood up, " It's settled then assemble your men everyone, Let the killings begin " he said arms stretched with a sinister smile on his face.

While walking through the hallways of the Grandmaster's Chambers Augustine's heart kept pounding and he couldn't understand why, thoughts ran through his aching mind as he was forced into a tight corner.

' I really thought I could have a complete family…, but this phenomenon is to serious to overlook as it shall foresee the destruction of our world, so I may have to give him up ' the middle aged man thought to himself as he walked past multiple knights and templars.

' Handing him over would mean his death, although it would affect my plan badly, * Mhmm *, If he is what the prophecy says he is then I just hit the jackpot to eternal riches and immortal power ' he thought, a smile slowly creping on to his face.

A woman suddenly walked up to him and as it turns out it was his wife Alexia the white haired thirty nine year old beauty, " Return home without me, I have some urgent things to attend to " he hastily said he walked away leaving Alexia and the now present Dion to stare at his disappearing form.

* Sigh *

Alexia huffed and walked after him as that was the way leading to the entrance and exit.

Dion watched the departing couple, " Something seems off, why will Augustine actively oppose an idea of the Grandmaster's Chambers when he is the most devoted, * Snap *, Follow Augustine Martinez and see what he's hiding " he said to himself and a hooded figure that appeared immediately he snapped his fingers.

" Yes Sire " the figure said vanishing into thin air and earning the attention of multiple knights and templars nearby, " What are you staring at, get moving " Dion queried the dazing warriors.

' Don't worry Augustine, I shall decipher your plot and take you down personal ' Dion said to himself after resolving the staring issues, a spark of hatred flashed through his eyes as a pain filled memory echoed in his mind.

In a old dilapidated building with some parts of the zinc roof falling through the building, it wasn't plastered so it had a sandy floor with random useless items spawned here and there, some above the sand and others buried underneath it.

Normally house of this era was made from wood but due to advancements in their indigenous technologies they were able to build very few cement houses although the government strictly opposed it.

Maybe that was the reason behind the building's abandonment, someone soon walked into it in a dark hooded coat, from his form he seemed to be a hefty person, he walked up to a chair with a missing leg and leaned it on the wall before sitting on it.

Slowly taking off his hood, it was then revealed that this was Augustine, he's only brought out a small white orb from his coat pocket and spoke into it, " Requesting my Favour from you all, assemble at the ' Jacques ' ", he said calmly before smashing the orb.

A thrill ran through his mind as he felt this day would never come, a day where he would begin his plan to overthrow.
