"So, I just need to be a tribal priestess, make more people know about the Great God and have them worship them? Is that all?" after listening to the messenger explaining the matter, Moon summarized the whole thing in a few sentences.
[Yes. It goes like that. And to make them follow you willingly and worship piously, you shall receive assistance.]
When that was said, Moon's face twitched as she thought about something from her previous life before the apocalypse; charlatans. Was she about to become one as well?
"What kind of assistance are you talking about?" she couldn't help but ask amusedly, her brows rising. "It would be kind of you to give me one of those amazing golden fingers. I have read a lot of books, you know?" her eyes were twinkling at the thought of getting a cheat.
As long as she had one, she wouldn't fear anyone. Of course, this time, she would make sure to use the cheat wisely, lest she end up dead again.
[I will send the golden finger to you a moment later. Let me finish saying a few things first. I must go after this.]
Moon's eyes widened when she heard that, but didn't say another word. After all, she shouldn't expect the messenger to be stuck to her. He should be a busy person or deity. Whoever he was!
"Fine, give it to me! I have a tribe to meet!" after calming her thoughts, she eagerly said, urging the messenger to finish.
From what she had read, in primitive tribes, being a priest meant being at the top of the hierarchy. Receiving such a post from nowhere, how could she not be eager?
Besides, being in the primitive world sounded much safer than the apocalyptic world. She didn't mind at all.
[You have to know that the Great God exists and as his priestess, you aren't allowed to defame him in any way. If you dare have other thoughts of deflecting and worshiping another deity, your life shall be forfeited. Always bear that in mind!]
Moon nonchalantly waved her hands as she responded, "You don't have to worry about that. He saved my life and I will not bite the hand that feeds me!'
She wasn't a fool. Why would she go around worshiping a deity who didn't do anything for her? Did she look that free?
[Good that you are self-aware! Anyway, I think that is all that I will share with you. For more details, check the golden finger that I will leave you. And before I go, always take note that you aren't here to change the world but to recruit faithful followers of the Great God.
Just because you are in the primitive world doesn't mean that you must turn this world into some technological world. There are other deities around and if you do anything excessive, the world might force you out and we wouldn't want that.
However, just because you can't do that doesn't mean that you are restricted. As long as it's within reasonable means, then you can do anything. You can live however you want.]
Moon was a bit scared when she heard the part about being forced out by the world's will. If she gets rejected, would she even live again? She didn't want to die or be marked by any world will or malicious deity for any reason.
Thankfully, her ambitions lay elsewhere. So, she would follow that and live peacefully without attracting any unwanted attention.
[Seeing that you understand. I will take my leave. May the love and blessings of the Great God be with you!]
After saying that, and without waiting for her to respond, the messenger's voice vanished.
Moon's face twitched for a moment, feeling a bit ridiculous about the whole thing. After all, the messenger dared to leave her soul of out her body. How was she going to join the tribe now?
Wasn't it a bit ridiculous?
She looked at her body lying on the altar, still dressed in what she was wearing on that unfortunate day she got struck by lightning and stepped on it. However, she just passed through and didn't get pulled like she thought.
She tried it several times, but there was no breakthrough.
Seeing her repeated failures, Moon wanted to cry, but her eyes seemed so dry that no tears could be shed.
'Damn! Are you kidding me?' she couldn't help but cuss angrily, seeing how bad her situation was.
As she was gnashing her teeth in anger, a melodious voice suddenly rang in her voice, [Ding! Priestess Guide System is finally online. Sorry for the delay, host!] catching her off-guard.
However, when that finally sank in, a smile blossomed on her face, reality sinking that this was the promised assistance the messenger spoke about earlier.
No wonder why she couldn't go to her body. The system had to come first before she could do anything. To think that she nearly wronged the messenger, Moon felt ashamed. Thankfully, no one was there to witness that. So, she was safe.
"It's fine. Show me what you can do!" Moon magnanimously said with a smile on her face, urging the system to show her the good things.
[If you want to check anything from the Guide, then please think about the Guide's interface and it shall be shown to you.]
Moon nodded to that and called the interface in her mind, and a virtual screen with several panels appeared in front of her.
The smile on her face widened when she saw the statistics on the first panel, especially when she saw the age.
Priestess Guide
Name: Moon
Age: 17
Status: Priestess
Race: Human
Abilities: Healing (LV), Blessing (LV0)
Skills: Storage Space (LV2)
Points: 1,000
Looking at the stats, Moon was over the moon, to be honest. In her previous world, she was past her mid-twenties and yet in the new world, she was turned into her teenage years. Being young meant that she could live longer, as long as she took great care of herself.
She looked closely at the healing and blessing abilities and realized that those were her priestess abilities granted by the Great God. She could use those to heal the people and bless them as well in many ways.
The abilities and skills appeared with levels in front of them, showing that they could be upgraded. The more she upgrades, the better her abilities. And to upgrade, she needed to use her abilities as much as she could.
As for the skills, she saw that she had a storage space, which wasn't that shocking considering that she used to have one in her previous life. Perhaps it followed her to this world, which was a relief. Unfortunately, she couldn't see her other ability, which she used to have in the apocalyptic world; the earth's ability.
Nonetheless, she couldn't be greedy. So, it didn't hurt as much.
After seeing the points, she was quite curious about what those points could be used as, so she checked the next panel and she was blossoming like a lotus in the mud.
The next panel revealed the marketplace and there were many there that she could have looked down upon if she was still in her previous world, but in this world, they were all treasures.
Apart from daily appliances, she also noticed that the marketplace sold skills which would be helpful to her in many ways. All that required time to be checked, and she had all the time in the world.
While looking down, she noticed that to earn the points, which in her case were called merit points, she would need to do good deeds or do missions.
It was as if, apart from working for the Great God, she was here to atone for all the sins she committed, which weren't bad. Since she got a chance to turn over a new leaf, she would try her best to be good. That's if no one offended her. If they dared, she wouldn't mind showing her hand.
After checking that panel, she moved to the last panel. They always leave the best for the last, and she was filled with anticipation as she moved to that panel. However, the moment she saw what was on that panel, she gnashed her teeth in anger as her fists clenched.
"System, are you kidding me?" she angrily yelled as she looked at the bold 'RESTRICTIONS' title, blinding her eyes in the offending way.
