Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5: PRIESTESS GUIDE

[I am afraid that it's not a joke, host. Due to several factors which include the sins you committed previously in your previous world. You will have these restrictions imposed on you. But don't worry, as long as you remain on the right path and earn a significant amount of merit points, the restrictions will be removed.]

Moon wanted to pull the damn system from wherever it was hiding as she listened to it while looking at the restrictions that didn't even make sense.

Was that even humane?

RESTRICTIONS

The host shall not be away from the tribe for more than three hours unless there is something serious. The host is bound to the tribal altar and, if away for a long time, all protection measures shall be removed.

In other words, if the host is harmed when away from the tribe, then the system guide won't do anything to protect the host.

The host, when traveling outside, must always have the sacred carriage with her. Failure to do so would result in protective measures being taken away from her. The host is not allowed to use any iron or anything that might disturb the will of the world. In other words, the host can do anything to change the lives of the tribe, but must not overdo it. Overdoing it would result in severe punishments being sent. The host is not allowed to have any sexual intercourse with any male before she turns twenty years old. Falling into temptations would result in the obliteration of the soul and never getting reincarnated again. (N.B: The host, however, is not restricted in having partners to serve her. As long as no further actions are taken.)

To be honest, restriction number four was driving her crazy more than any restriction. Restriction one was simply informing her that she would be under lockdown and wouldn't have the freedom to do whatever she wanted.

Although she felt suffocated because of that, she also understood that it might be a perverse way for the Guide to protect her. After all, from the abilities that she had seen, she didn't have any abilities that would make her capable of fighting like she was in the apocalyptic world.

So having this impregnable protection meant a lot more than being imprisoned. As for number two, she loved it. She really didn't want to walk anywhere. As a priestess, didn't she deserve to slay and enjoy life?

Why walk when she could use a carriage?

As for number three, it wasn't like she was omnipotent and knew a lot. She had never seen an iron ore before, so how could she even know how to mine it? Even if she wanted to mine it, she would do it with what tools?

Anyway, after hearing the conditions from the messenger before the Guide arrived, she was determined to not do anything foolish. So, she agreed with that restriction.

It was number four, which angered her. Why was she being restricted from enjoying herself?

What was the point of being a priestess but couldn't eat any meat?

Being surrounded by so many masculine men and being unable to do anything with them, Moon found it a loss.

Although the men weren't yet on her level, seeing how they didn't seem to have bathed in ages and all that. It didn't mean that they would remain that way always. With her here, she was going to change their lives and believed that one day they would wow her. so why couldn't she have them?

The more she thought about the matter, the angrier she became. Unfortunately, the system remained quiet, as if it was dead.

She could only burn with fury before she finally cooled down.

Being angry for so long didn't mean that the restriction would be removed. She might as well occupy her mind with something else and do something productive.

After sorting her thoughts, Moon felt much better and checked her storage space to see what was in there.

The last time she checked, she had stored a lot of things in there. Clothes, barrels, boxes, bedroom furniture and, above all, the chest with nuclei she had been keeping during her hunts.

There were quite a lot of good things in the storage space, and thinking about them, Moon excitedly checked it out. However, that smile vanished instantly, replaced by a gloomy expression upon seeing what was left of everything that was once in there.

"Where is my stuff? System, come out for me!" she angrily called out the system, her eyes blazing red as she looked at the space with nothing but only a handgun she didn't recall having and a machete.

If she wasn't mistaken, there was a rifle in the space the last time she checked. As for the machete, she didn't have just one, but several of them. How could the system clear everything and leave those two? What kind of scamming business was this?

[Host, due to the restrictions, everything you previously owned had been cleared and turned into points. If you see any need to replace anything, then buy whatever corresponds to that in the marketplace!]

Moon rolled her eyes angrily when she heard that and sarcastically asked, "Then why am I seeing a gun and a machete in there? Did you perhaps forget about it or what?"

[Those are not ordinary weapons. They are both gifts from the Great God. Since you no longer have the ability to protect yourself, having those to defend yourself in trying times would be helpful!]

When she heard that, the anger simmered for a bit, as she digested what she had heard.

If she were to look at the whole thing in a rational manner, everything that she had stored wasn't actually useable here because of the restrictions. So perhaps letting everything be dealt with was for the best. At least, she earned some points from it.

Thinking in that direction, she calmed down and softly said, "Fine, I accept that. Now send my soul back."

[Right away, priestess!] The system responded enthusiastically. Before Moon could respond, she suddenly felt dizzy and lighthearted. Then, the next moment, she blacked out.

 ****

"She is waking up!"

"I can see her eyelashes flattering!"

"Does this mean that we really succeeded?"

"How many times are you going to ask that?"

The group of men excitedly spoke as they watched the female they had summoned opening her eyes.

It's been a while since the summoning and yet the female showed no signs of waking up. For a moment there, they were afraid that they summoned a dead person. However, seeing her now, they were certain that the summoning had succeeded and their tribe no longer had to worry about anything anymore.

Moon awakened to the chattering of the primitive people and unlike the first time when she couldn't hear a single thing, this time, their words were all clear.

It was as if she was born speaking the tongue. She couldn't help but be surprised by that.

However, the surprise only lasted for a moment before she calmed down. Wouldn't it be suspicious if she couldn't hear her own people?

There would be no way the Great God would forsake her and send her to a pit, right?

Thinking like that, she mustered all the energy in her body and felt her limbs warming up. She had been sleeping for a while. What if she failed to stand up?

When her limbs had warmed up, she raised her head in the direction where the tribal people were and the moment, they saw that they all suddenly knelt on the ground, their faces facing on the ground, calling, "Praise the female priest for awakening!"

"Thank the deity for saving our lives!"

"Praise the female priest for awakening!"

Moon smiled amusedly as she listened to that. While they were on their knees, like that, she took that moment to rise to her feet and check herself properly.

Her body was lighter than before and looked comparably better, which was a huge relief.

Seeing the modern or apocalyptic clothes on her body, a calculative smile appeared on her face briefly before a glint of excitement flashed in her eyes.

Thinking about the good things she always kept on her body, her hands moved very swiftly in search and her smile widened as her hands touched several hidden gadgets on her body.

Seeing that everything was still on her body, relief washed over her and finally, she had the energy to look at the people who were still on their knees praising her as well as the deity.

It seemed that it was time for her to mark the beginning of a new era. Thinking about the unknown future, a smile blossomed on her face as she opened her mouth and commanded, "On your feet, my tribesmen!"
