Ryker looked at me for a very long time. And to say the truth, it was just enough for me to rethink about what I had told him.
Maybe even change my mind about what I had uttered.
Ryker was like that. Always giving someone a long time to think on his or her own response in matters of the heart, or of the pack, and in that process, you'd feel very much uncomfortable about going ahead with your suggestion.
It would completely feel like you really needed to rescind on your decisions.
I knew all about that because I had studied the man for some time now. So I knew what he was doing when he was doing it.
So I didn't even bother to put much concern on the look he was giving me or the time he took to give me a response. I knew that he would say something eventually. But that was his concern, not mine.
After waiting patiently for what seemed like a whole three minutes, he roused himself like a sleeping dragon.
