(I have an idea: It might make sense to ask someone at lunch.)
As soon as the bell rings, our character heads toward the cafeteria.
(So who do I ask? I don't know anyone.)
Our character starts walking around.
(I see a group of students I've seen before but don't know their names.)
Our character walks toward the group of students.
(Come on. I need to calm down.)
****: "Hey guys, how are you?"
Tyler (Unknown): "Hey man, we're good. How are you?"
****: "I'm good too, thanks. I have a question for you."
Miles (Unknown): "We're listening."
****: "You must know Rafael Voss, the killer of Chloe Rose. I heard he's getting out of prison. Any idea when he's getting out?
Tyler (Unknown): "Honestly, man, we know the bastard, but we don't know when he's getting out."
****: "Yeah, okay."
Theo (Unknown): "I know, bro. He's getting out next Tuesday. But why are you asking? What's your business with that bastard?"
****: "Well, I know a lawyer who doesn't want him to get out, so I asked."
Theo (Unknown): "Okay, man. I hope your lawyer can handle it."
Tyler (Unknown): "By the way, what's your name, bro?"
****: "My name's Matthew. Nice to meet you all. What's your name?"
Theo: "I'm Theo. Nice to meet you too."
Tyler: "I'm Tyler. Nice to meet you."
Miles: "I'm Miles. Nice to meet you."
David: "We haven't talked before, but nice to meet you."
****: "Thanks, guys. See you later."
As our characters walk away, they all say, "See you later."
(They seem like nice people. I'm glad I asked them. So what do we do now? I have no idea.)
