Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 The Three-Headed Dog

"Harry Potter, are we really going to fight Malfoy tonight? What if they're just lying to us?" Neville asked Harry Potter worriedly in the dormitory.

"Of course we are. What if they go and we don't, and they start spreading bad rumors about us everywhere?" Ron interrupted before Harry Potter could say anything.

"Can the three of us really beat Malfoy and his two goons? His two lackeys look so strong." Neville was a bit worried.

"Don't worry about that. We've learned a great spell." Harry Potter said with confidence after hearing Ron.

Light didn't pay much attention and was getting ready to continue studying tonight.

When the moon was high in the sky, Light, who slept lightly, was awakened by a rustling sound. After waking up, Light knew that Harry Potter and the others had gone to keep the appointment.

After the three of them quietly left the room, Light also got out of bed and walked towards the Restricted Section of The Library.

Light left The Library with "A Detailed Explanation of the Fiendfyre Curse" and walked towards the Room of Requirement.

"Meow." Light heard a meow the moment he climbed up one flight of stairs.

"Looks like I almost got caught after all." Light sighed inwardly. He cast a Disillusionment Charm on the book and walked towards the direction where the sound came from.

"Yo!" Light dispelled the Disillusionment Charm and appeared in front of Harry Potter, Ron, Neville, and Hermione.

The group, who were running around in a panic, were startled at first. Before Light could say anything, they saw Harry Potter rush over.

Before Light could even react, Harry Potter grabbed him and said, "Hurry up. Filch is after us. Don't let him catch us."

Just as Light was about to say something, he was pulled into a corridor by Harry Potter.

"Over here, Harry Potter, come quickly." Ron called from behind a door.

Light was pulled by Harry Potter and rushed through the door. Ron immediately closed the door and locked it.

"Now Filch won't be able to get in, right?" Neville said glumly as he let out a sigh of relief.

"Yes, but we're about to have some trouble." Light said helplessly.

"What..." Before the word was even fully out of his mouth, the five of them heard a low growl.

Harry Potter and the other three couldn't help but turn their heads. They saw three huge dog heads glaring at them menacingly, their sharp teeth bared as they let out continuous growls.

"Ah!!!!!" Harry Potter and the others were taken aback at first when they saw this scene, and then let out a huge scream of terror.

Neville was the first to enter the room and turned around just in time to face the three-headed dog. While everyone was still screaming, the three-headed dog opened its big mouth and lunged at Neville.

Neville instinctively closed his eyes as he saw the stinking maw coming at him. Suddenly, he felt a force tug at his body, sending him flying backward. Then he heard a voice.

"Neville! Accio!"

A teeth-gritting snapping sound rang out, instantly jolting Ron awake. He lunged at the door and was about to unlock it.

"Stupefy," the spell hit the middle dog head accurately, but the dog head just got dazed for a moment and then returned to normal.

Seeing this, Light kept casting spells. Petrificus Totalus hit the body, Locomotor Mortis hit the legs, and Impedimenta blocked the way ahead.

Light kept using spells to control the three-headed dog.

"Oh my god, why won't it open!"

Ron let out a panicked sound.

When Light heard Ron's words and was about to use a desperate move regardless of the consequences, he heard Hermione's shout: "Alohomora."

"Bang."

The door lock was instantly opened. "Quick, get out quickly." Hermione pulled open the door and shouted anxiously.

"Quick, Light! Come out quickly." The four of them called out at the door.

Hearing this, Light didn't turn around and run. Instead, he continuously cast spells on The Three-Headed Dog with his hands to keep it in check, and slowly moved towards the door.

The four of them watched Light's movements nervously, but didn't dare to make a sound to urge him.

Light walked slowly to the door and then suddenly jumped backward. Seeing this, the four of them immediately closed the door. As soon as they closed the door, they heard the sounds of 'bang bang bang bang' of hitting the door and roars.

"Light, are you okay!" Ignoring the relief of just escaping from death, the four of them anxiously looked towards Light.

"I'm fine! I just consumed a lot of Magic Power!" Light said, gasping with a pale face.

Hearing this, the hearts that everyone had been holding finally dropped. Ron glanced at the door that was still making 'bang bang bang' sounds. He swallowed his saliva and said, "This door won't get broken, right!"

"No. If it could come out so easily, it would have come out long ago." Light explained weakly and feebly.

"Why does the school keep such a monster in the castle?" Harry Potter complained with lingering fear.

"Stop talking. Headmaster Dumbledore said at The Opening Feast that we shouldn't come here. It's us who violated the school rules and came here in the middle of the night." Hermione started chattering away to explain.

"And I also saw that there is a trapdoor under The Three-Headed Dog. It should be guarding something. We broke into its territory."

After hearing Hermione's scolding, Ron suddenly interrupted and said, "Light, why did you also run out in the middle of the night?"

"I got up in the middle of the night and didn't see you guys, so I came to look for you." Light, with a pale face, casually replied.

Hearing Light's words, Hermione didn't have the mood to continue scolding.

Finally, when they were about to part, Hermione specifically warned Harry Potter, Ron, and Neville that whatever The Three-Headed Dog was guarding had nothing to do with them. This was the professors' responsibility.

Harry Potter, Ron, and Neville all agreed repeatedly, only asking Hermione not to tell Professor McGonagall about tonight's incident.

"I didn't expect Light to be right. I thought he would keep the appointment. I didn't expect that Malfoy guy to be so cunning. I must beat him up tomorrow to vent my anger." Back in the dormitory, Ron said, full of resentment.

"Light, we should have listened to you." Harry Potter said a little awkwardly.

"It's okay. Tonight was quite exciting!" Light's Magic Power had recovered a lot, and his voice wasn't as weak.

Harry Potter, Ron, and Neville let out two somewhat awkward 'haha' laughs, and then started discussing what kind of treasure could be guarded by such a fierce beast.

"This treasure must have only appeared in the school this year. Otherwise, Dumbledore wouldn't have reminded us at The Opening Feast." Ron said confidently.

"Could it be something Hagrid took out from Gringotts..."

Light didn't join this topic. Instead, after hiding A Detailed Explanation of the Fiendfyre Curse well, he quietly lay on the bed, recovering his physical strength and Magic Power.

"The Magic Power is too low. When using Spells at a high intensity, the Magic Power gets consumed very quickly. It seems that I have to intensify my magic training. Only in this way can I accurately gauge the consumption of Magic Power and then decide whether to add Adding Points." Light was pondering the issue of Magic Power and drifted off to sleep amidst the discussions of Harry Potter and the other two.

In the magic training room that was transformed from the Room of Requirement.

"Pili Baozha!" Light waved his wand at the dummy. The dummy's head exploded and then recovered under the effect of the healing spell. (Pili Baozha: A spell in the magic world)

Fierce Blaze Diffindo Lightning Chain Petrificus Totalus

For the next while, many Dark Magic Spells with powerful lethality were cast from Light's wand.
