"Iced lemon juice."
In front of the huge stone gargoyle, Light recited the Password Hagrid gave, and a passage appeared before the four of them.
Originally, Hagrid also wanted to come, but was rejected by Hermione and Harry Potter. Harry Potter said he was afraid Hagrid would let it slip. Keeping dragons privately is illegal. If it was exposed, he would end up in Azkaban.
"It seems the professor isn't here!" Harry Potter looked around the office but didn't see anyone.
"Then let's first..."
"Hello, students! What can I do for you?" Before Light could finish, a kind voice came from behind him.
"Professor, we accidentally learned from Hagrid. There's a man in a black robe who has learned The Three-Headed Dog's weakness. He might pass through the trapdoor and steal the Philosopher's Stone." As soon as Harry Potter saw Dumbledore, he stepped forward and said.
Ron and Hermione then added all the strange things that had happened these days. Harry Potter's broom going out of control during the game, Snape getting injured in the leg after Halloween...
"Don't worry. Take your time. Sit down and let's talk." Dumbledore didn't show any surprise. Instead, he waved his hand and conjured four chairs, inviting the four to sit down.
"Where did you learn about the Philosopher's Stone?" After the four were seated, Dumbledore started asking questions.
Light activated Occlumency with all his might. To avoid having his information extracted, he didn't say a word.
"We learned from Hagrid that what The Three-Headed Dog is guarding is the Philosopher's Stone, and then we looked into its uses and origin."
"Then who do you think would do such a thing?" After listening to Hermione's explanation, Dumbledore asked in return.
"We suspect it's Snape! He acts very suspiciously." Harry Potter directly stated his guess.
After hearing Harry Potter's words, Dumbledore didn't say anything. Instead, he asked Light, "Mr. Ragus, who do you think wants to get the Philosopher's Stone?"
"Quirrell...!" Light, who was daydreaming, instinctively answered when he heard the question. After saying that, he couldn't help but be startled, and then forced himself to calm down.
"Why do you think so?" Dumbledore continued to ask under the puzzled looks of Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione.
"Just a simple guess. All the strange things that have happened this year started after Professor Quirrell came to teach at Hogwarts. There were no such things before he came." Light said in a forced casual tone.
This time, Dumbledore didn't reply. He seemed to be thinking about the possibility Light mentioned.
"Professor, don't you believe us?" Harry Potter said a bit dejectedly seeing that Dumbledore didn't seem very concerned.
"No, of course I believe you."
"But I also won't doubt the professors. I believe they wouldn't do such a thing."
Without waiting for Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione to refute, Dumbledore continued, "It's not just The Three-Headed Dog guarding the Philosopher's Stone. Many professors have also set up protective measures."
"Snape and Quirrell have both set them up, so the Philosopher's Stone is very safe."
"Moreover, as far as I know, the person who wants to get the Philosopher's Stone is not Snape or Quirrell, but an extremely dangerous person." After saying this, Dumbledore stood up and gave the order to send them away.
"I'll keep an eye out. You can go back first!"
If you find anything else, you can come to me directly."
"Okay! Thank you, Professor. Sorry to trouble you."
Harry Potter opened his mouth, initially intending to say something, but in the end, he didn't say anything and left the office with Light and the others.
"Severus, could you come here for a moment? I have something to ask you." Dumbledore considered for a while, then stroked Phoenix Fawkes. In an instant, Fawkes turned into a flash of fire and disappeared.
"What's the matter, Headmaster?" In the flash of Fawkes' fire, Snape stepped out.
"Well, here's what happened!" Dumbledore waved his hand, and the scene from just now appeared in the office. Snape frowned and watched the whole thing.
"What do you think, Severus?"
"There's something wrong with Light Rogers. He's too calm. It seems as if nothing has anything to do with him, yet he's right in the middle of it. Moreover, his spell-casting level is highly abnormal." Snape coldly put forward his opinion.
"I think so too, but it should have nothing to do with him. He gives me a very familiar feeling, as if he's hiding everything in his heart." Dumbledore expressed his thoughts.
"So, are you deciding on letting it go?" Snape pondered for a moment and then asked Dumbledore in return.
Dumbledore didn't reply and remained silent.
"This is ridiculous. Whether it's Quirrell or Light, you clearly know everything and can solve it all, but you choose to stand by and watch." Snape said angrily.
"Severus, we both know that Harry Potter needs to face these things alone. We can't protect him all the time."
"And you know better than I do why Harry Potter must face Voldemort." Dumbledore said helplessly in the face of Snape's anger.
"This is absurd. Are you going to let a few first-year young wizards deal with the Dark Lord? Albus, this isn't an adventure story but a reality of despair and pain." Snape could no longer contain his anger.
"I'm very sorry, Severus. This is all I can do. While I still have the ability, I'll do my best to train Harry Potter. According to the prophecy, only Harry Potter can defeat him." Dumbledore looked at Snape, who was angry and sorrowful, and said weakly.
"Why do you have to make Harry Potter go? You could do it too. With the Philosopher's Stone, you don't have to worry about anything." Snape looked at Dumbledore with utter disappointment.
"Of course, I can suppress him, but what about later? When he returns, will the wizarding world go back to living in constant fear again? We must kill him completely. And right now, it's not the worst yet."
"I just hope you still remember our agreement. So, what did you call me here for?" Snape looked at Dumbledore, who didn't want to say much, and asked gloomily.
"I hope you can train Light. He has great potential, but I'm very worried." Dumbledore made a request to Snape.
"I understand!" After saying that, Snape turned around with a gloomy face and left the headmaster's office.
"Light, do you really think there's something wrong with Quirrell?" Harry Potter asked.
"Yes, don't you think he's strange? Or rather, something is really off about him!" Light continued to deceive the three of them with his so-called feelings.
"That's true. Quirrell is indeed a bit strange.
Ron thought of Quirrell's usual demeanor and fully agreed.
"But we can't suspect Quirrell just because of this! You know, the professors in the school are all a bit odd one way or another." Hermione said, rolling her eyes.
"We've already told Professor Dumbledore. Let's just leave it be and let the professors deal with it!" Light started to shirk responsibility.
The four of them made their way to the dormitory, chatting and laughing merrily all the way. Light didn't notice at all that a figure was lurking in the shadows, glaring at him with a sinister look.
