Chapter 30
When the two guys see that all they caught was only an afterimage, they immediately look towards Ark. They only manage to see a black shadow as it flies back between the two of them, moving at double the speed it had before. They try to turn their heads in the other direction to follow the shadow, but the shockwave catches up to them and sends them flying.
When they get back up and look towards Ark, they see him in the same position he had at the start, only his hand is now formed into a fist. That is the only difference with Ark, but in front of his hand, a line of destruction starts, going all the way to the other side of the city. Only now a sound is heard, something like a bell. They know Urrokon's body hit the barrier.
Then they turn their heads back to Ark, and a look of respect appears on their faces. Ark managed, in a second, to do what they hadn't succeeded in doing throughout the entire fight.
He hurt Urrokon. He managed to hit his body without even moving from his spot.
Then a relieved, mixed with all kinds of emotions, look appears on their faces. They know Ark will handle things. They turn their heads toward Ryker and see their ruler looking into the void with an empty look on his face. They turn toward one another and see the pain in the other one's eyes, then they get up and start walking towards Ryker, knowing that they can't take part in the fight anymore.
Ark puts his hand down and waits for the 'Black lightning.' It doesn't take long before Urrokon comes back. When he appears in front of the others, he looks angry—really angry. And in the center of his chest, there is a dent in the shape of Ark's fist.
Ark looks at him and says:
"You're pretty slow. I thought you were the 'Ruler of Speed.' More like 'Ruler of Slowness.'"
Then he smiles with a mocking grin.
When Urrokon hears that and sees the mocking smile on Ark's face, his body starts to generate a lightning storm around him. A sound like a 'growl' is heard from him, making the air and earth vibrate. The stones around him start to float, but then they are hit by the discharging lightning and turn to dust. A storm of dust and lightning forms on his sides and back, leaving the front clear so Urrokon can see Ark clearly.
Then he takes a sprint-like position, and his muscular legs swell even more. The lightning around him concentrates into the form of wings behind him.
Then, when he takes off, it's as though the space around him and time itself are lagging behind. It's as if Urrokon is too fast for even space to register his movement.
He simply appears behind Ark, with his fist ready high in the air. Then he brings it down, and the lightning wings behind him travel over his hand to his fist, ready to destroy everything in front of it, like a second punch.
When he hits Ark's body, the fist travels through it, and the lightning discharges, destroying the earth in front of it.
But Urrokon feels something wrong on his right backside. He turns his head and sees Ark, in the air behind him, his body diagonal to the ground with his leg to the side, ready to hit him like a whip. Urrokon puts his hands in front of his chest, and when Ark's leg makes contact with his hands, he tries to turn to the side, pushing Ark's leg a little bit so the kick's energy goes toward the ground.
Urrokon manages to divert Ark's kick, but his leg hits the ground, and the energy from the kick destroys the surroundings.
Then they both back off.
And only now does the shockwave from Urrokon's movement catch up. A sonic boom is heard, and the surroundings from the spot where Urrokon sprinted from blow up as if a bomb went off there.
The rest of the guys are watching with wide eyes, knowing that Urrokon was truly powerful and fast.
They are still alive because they worked together and managed to stop him from using his top speed. If they were alone against the Devil, they would've died in a second.
Ark watches Urrokon for a second, then fires his laser eyes. The laser travels at the speed of light, but Urrokon just turns his body to the left, the laser passing by him. Ark then turns his head, and the laser turns toward Urrokon's body.
Urrokon immediately turns onto his back like a bridge, pulling off the maneuver from the old movie, 'Matrics' on Old Earth.
Ark misses again, he turns his laser eyes off, and sees Urrokon smiling.
"I'm really surprised. You're the only one who's managed to fight me and not lose in a 'second.'"
Ark looks at him and answers:
"Don't worry, I'm not going to lose even if you get faster than this, but I can't say the same about you."
Then Ark appears in front of him and punches toward his face. Urrokon diverts his punch and counters with a straight punch of his own, but Ark turns his head to the side. He also misses.
Then they fight in close quarters for a moment, but in that moment, more than a thousand punches are thrown.
They back off once again, but on Urrokon's face, there's a small mark from a hit.
He took a hit in the close-quarters match, but a smile forms on his face:
"I haven't had this much fun in ages. You really are powerful."
"But I will get serious from now on."
Ark looks at him and smiles:
"Then come, we'll see how much faster you are."
Then Urrokon starts to gather his aura more and more. The earth around him begins to vibrate. After a moment, he starts to scream while his hands are apart. A golden aura starts to leak from him, and after a moment, a golden pillar of light rises into the sky from him.
After a moment, his aura calms down, and the golden light starts to go back into his body. Once he absorbs all the light, his body becomes entirely golden. No more lightning appears around him—his entire aura is now kept inside his body.
"It's been a long time since I've used this form, but whenever I've used it, no one has managed to live to tell the tale."
Ark just puts one hand behind his back and one in front.
He says:
"Let's see what your 'Chicken Muscles' can do now."
When Urrokon hears Ark, he stops for a second. 'Chicken Muscles'? Me?
He gets angry again, and now he actually moves like teleporting. He just appears where he wants. He appears in front of Ark and punches. But now his punch looks like golden lightning—so fast that the moment he starts the movement of punching, the punch is already hitting Ark.
Ark puts his hands in front of him, and he is sent flying by the power of the punch. His clothes are burned in the shape of the punch.
But before Ark can stop, Urrokon is already waiting for him on his flying path. Then he sends lightning bolts one after another toward Ark.
Ark sees the lightning bolts coming toward him, and just before they hit, he teleports behind Urrokon.
And before Urrokon can respond, Ark sends him flying with a kick to his back. Again, a sound like a bell is heard. He hit the barrier for the second time.
But before the bell sound disappears, Urrokon appears in front of him again, his body healing at a speed ten times faster than before.
The damage from the kick is already completely healed.
"It's going to take much more than this to hurt me now."
Ark disappears from his spot and appears in front of him, then he punches toward Urrokon's chin from below. But Urrokon pulls his head back, and the punch misses. Then Urrokon kicks up with his knee, but Ark uses the knee like a springboard and flies toward the sky.
He stops when he's high above, then fires his laser eyes again toward Urrokon. Urrokon fires lightning bolts that look like a river from the ground toward the laser. Both make contact in the sky, and there's an explosion that looks like the sun. So big and hot is the explosion, everything for miles is scorched Earth.
The snow melts for hundreds of miles around. The cold, for the first time in forever, is chased away. A warm air appears all around them, making them feel like it's spring. And the three powerhorses are looking at the sky how it changed, for the first time it doesn't snow anymore.
But then the explosion subsides, and the cold reigns again.
Ark says to Urrokon:
"We've fought long enough. Let's finish this."
