Chapter 4 - Overwhelming!
Thegarroth saw the massive wave that was being accompanied by hundreds of large, violent vortices of air that each seemed to possess the power to tear apart the palace and its environs to pieces, and couldn't help but widen his eyes in both awe and shock.
Swiftly reacting to this, his skin suddenly shone with a silvery light as it became many times harder than Akhronite metal; one of the most powerful and durable materials in their world.
Feeling the vast intimidating power possessed by the attack, as well as the devastating strength possessed by the tyrannical wind maelstroms that accompanied it, Vhelgarr's mom and many of the Palace Protectors immediately lunged forward to unleash shields that will protect the palace and a lot of workers.
BANG!!!
Thegarroth did everything to stop the attack, but he was struck immensely by the attack and was immediately sent flying towards the sky.
He reached a shocking altitude in the air before falling back to the ground, coughing out blood and laughing after he crashed into the earth with a really loud and heavy thud that caused a giant web of crack to appear there.
Despite the seemingly grave injuries that he had obtained, they didn't seem to bother him one bit as he laughed away, full of happiness and excitement.
If it wasn't that he was too weak to do anything at the moment, he would sit up and begin to clap, heartily applauding Vhelgarr for such a wonderful attack that left him with nothing but joy.
Vhelgarr's mom, Arryhiarr, saw this and her eyes widened in both fear and horror. Then she quickly flew to where her husband was and asked softly but with a concerned tone in her voice, "Darling, are you okay?"
"More than okay, dear." Thegarroth responded, still not bothered by his injuries, which had even begun to heal.
Arryhiarr looked at Vhelgarr who stood very shocked and puzzled in the distance and asked with slight anger in her tone, "Son, what was the meaning of that? Do you want to injure your father?"
Though she said that softly and from a really far distance, they however sounded like massive and frightening thunderclaps in Vhelgarr's ears, who immediately understood that his mother was 'slightly' angry. If she was truly angry, he would immediately leave where he was.
Beaming a smile that radiated nothing but the feeling that he was sorry, he walked to where his father and mother was.
Deep within his heart, he wondered how he could unleash such an attack that he had never seen before. This wasn't even close or similar to the power and skills he had. It was vastly different.
He recalled that just as he fully punched out, a really tiny current of power that was nothing to write about, but was so great that it made him feel like he was a mighty dominator and unparalleled champion of the entire world, suddenly coursed through his vein and out through his attack.
"What was that power?" He softly muttered with slight concern in his tone.
He didn't want something that he couldn't control or manipulate as he desired, which would in turn only make him weak.
If in an intense battle with enemies, and his associates and relatives were also partaking in that battle, he wouldn't want to use such a power or move that would end up entirely obliterating his foes and family. Thus, making him weak and less efficient on a battlefield, where the stakes of life and death were high.
But, he liked the power. He liked the feeling that was evoked in his heart and soul. It made him feel absolutely unmatched and domineering, like he had dominion over every living and non-living thing.
"I must know and understand how to control this power that I have somehow unknowingly and abruptly awakened." Vhelgarr said, clenching his fist in determination as he walked towards his parent.
Arryhiarr, Vhelgarr's mom, who was angry for a second earlier, was now filled with both marvel and shock, after recalling the horrifying, near-catastrophic power that was radiated by the loudly groaning and howling attack.
She couldn't believe her son unleashed a move that forced her and many others to protect the palace, its large environs and structures, as well as the people that they felt wouldn't be able to withstand the aura of the shrilling berserk attack.
This made her ecstatic!
Was his potential, as mentioned to them by that Seer being awakened? She couldn't be sure, but she fully hoped so.
She wanted to see her son, walking on the clouds in the sky, radiating a type of light that will outshine the sun, even if he stood close to it.
She wanted to see him become something that even gods and deities themselves would absolutely revere or scramble away in both fear and horror whenever his name was mentioned.
She just wanted to see him do great and mighty things, things never done or accomplished by anyone in the past.
When Vhelgarr appeared before his parent, unable to explain why he could unleash such an immensely powerful attack, he looked at his mom and said with an apologetic tone in his voice, "Sorry, mom. I didn't mean to."
He then looked at his father who remained seated on the ground with all smiles on his face, stretched out his hand to help him up and said, "Dad, I am so sorry."
"Sorry about what? That you beat my sorry ass? Own that son. That's a win for you."
"Ever since I was born, no one has been able to do that." His father joyfully said while Vhelgarr broke a smile on his face.
"Alright dad." Vhelgarr said, giving a firm nod.
Slowly but surely, his dreams of becoming strong and immensely powerful was being achieved.
He just had to learn how to control and manipulate the power as he so desired, then he would be able to easily protect his loved ones, entire family and kingdom.
Looking at his parents who had visible looks of excitement on their faces, Vhelgarr simply stepped forward and hugged them both.
He could nearly cry as tears quickly welled up in his eyes and made them glisten. But he had to man up and hold back his tears.
However, he couldn't be blamed for this. He had missed them, like a lot, and had wandered into extremely dangerous and perilous uncharted places in search of more power and strength to exact unbridled vengeance upon the people that murdered his parents and other loving family members.
But he had been given a chance at life again, and was surely going to cherish them, all of them.
This time around, no harm was going to come to anyone. He will slay whosoever decided to challenge or contend with his family.
He made that unbreakable vow within the deep recess of his being!
